Morning all thanks for the sympathy with DS ! He hates the car as well so am dreading the drive over to Ireland in a few weeks time.

If anyone is in the market for a good under eye concealer I can recommend the bourgeois undereye CC cream. I have really bad eye circles genetically and then 2 kids that hate sleep mean they get really dark and this is the best concealer I have tried. So good

Enjoy your hair app shop I had a really short blond pixie cut about ten years ago and loved it. Grew it out for a reason I can't remember and have had long brunette hair ever since. Every now and again I think I should cut it all of again but don't have the guts!

LinusDKD · 23/03/2015 10:00

Jimmies, Chinti&Parker merino jumper and heattech today for me as it's quite cold in the morning.

Will check out Diesel jeans with DH, thanks for the recommendations.

mara how is your DS today?

Inspired by MNVoguettes pinning French Vogue editors Geraldine and Capucine for style inspiration, I've bought French Vogue (with Daria Werbowy on the cover) today. Hope it's a good read!

LinusDKD · 23/03/2015 10:03

Oh and ellis we always did long drives at nighttime when the DC were little.

Especially with DS, we used to leave after bathtime, he would fall asleep in the car and sleep most of the journey and then we would give him a dreamfeed if need be on arrival before putting him to bed at our destination.

This was for drives of between 7 and 8 hours so not sure if yours is longer.

AmberNectarine · 23/03/2015 10:05

Currently in sweaty betty and Nike having done my first bikini body workout. Man, that was HARD. Legs and cardio circuits repeated as many times as poss in 28 mins. I fear I may hurt tomorrow. Nice to have it out of the way early though.

Meeting DH for lunch today so will shower off the sweat (attractive) and change into something decent. Beautiful sunny day here :)

bettykt · 23/03/2015 10:05

Enjoy French Vogue Linus

OOTD black skinnies, pale blue denim shirt with black Tippi on top.

I need some new belts. I need to upgrade my accessories.

bettykt · 23/03/2015 10:09

Ps I'd like to credit Santa for my CS pins, she mentioned her on the French thread.

Ellisisland · 23/03/2015 10:11

Thanks Linus our journey is about 7 hours and we are going over night but hadn't thought about the dream feed so will do that Flowers

Also not sure if your French vogue is a different one to the one I got the other week but the blogger being talked about up thread Mimi has a 6 page spread in it all about her receipes and blog.

bettykt · 23/03/2015 10:32

Feel very tempted to buy French Vogue now, not sure where I can get hold of a copy in my sleepy dullsville town! Will check out town WHS.

Okay back to work, I must not be distracted by MNV Grin

Mara how is dc?

Ellis Flowers for lack of sleep.

Like amber my ootd is sports gear. Haven't decided what to wear when I'm showered yet.

I was looking at kids clothes on gap earlier and have ordered this for myself in navy

Karbea · 23/03/2015 11:38

shop do you change clothes to go dog walking? Maybe this is what I need to do???

shopafrolic · 23/03/2015 11:40

Karbea I walk my dog on a muddy field so if I am wearing something I am worried that mud would ruin then yes, I change my trousers. I usually live in jeans and tee or cashmere sweater anyway so I usually just sling on my Dubarry boots and head out of the door in my parka. It's only dog walking.....

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 23/03/2015 12:04

That's pretty QC - I bought a Zara kids tee with a sequin goldfish on it last week. Kids have the best clothes.

All this Parisian chic chat must have gone to my head because I'm wearing a charcoal merino crew neck (mens so a bit oversized), white jeans, leopard ponyskin belt and black/leopard Stans.

Karbea · 23/03/2015 12:07

Haha yes I know shop I'm totally over thinking this. I think the main culprits are my uggs as I tend to wear them to walk the dogs and then they are close by when I go out to do something else. If I wore specific dog walking boots or boots specifically for that job then I wouldn't have a problem unless I started wearing them for dog walking I might ask my aunty how much she sells dubarrays for, I'm so silly so these are exactly what my mum uses!

shopafrolic · 23/03/2015 12:39

I only wear my UGG boots as slippers, or when I'm heading to my evening Pilates class.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 23/03/2015 12:50

Karbea it sounds like you are not sure about dressing casually but are happy with your HOC colours and style personality - so maybe it is worth emailing your consultant and asking what your style personality would wear casually?

I also agree Uggs and sore back are probably the root cause.

My lifestyle is very casual and having nice wellies (ilse Jacobsen) and waterproof coats I don't mind wearing has helped me feel better about my clothes day to day.

Have you looked at Hopefully's blog? I can't seem to link it and don't know if she is still writing it but she has some examples of casual outfits with bright trainers and she is an autumn.

QueenC that is a cute top.

Linus for jeans, my DH has done quite well at uniqlo. I know that probably isn't helpful as you don't have one near you.

Mara hope CP is over quickly and painlessly. I snorted when I read your DH's comment - and you were right to ignore, I love that Marant check shirt.

Lib welcome back.

Dry how much did your bargain Amazon Jimmies work out as, with taxes etc on top? Am considering...

Karbea · 23/03/2015 12:56

No I don't think I've seen hopefullys blog.
I think that's exactly it. I'm happy with being an autumn, ok with natural ingenue. Confused about what to wear day to day :/
I'm wearing tan ankle boots today with a block heel.

shopafrolic · 23/03/2015 13:35

Karbea one other thought - if you want to wear your UGGS but have back pain then you can always get some orthotics to put in them

Hi all have had a busy few days as poor ds has been unwell. He has suspected tonsilitis and is on the ABs have had a few sleepless nights and look knackered and old. Think I could do with some botox shits shots too Grin
mara hope your ds is not suffering too much with the cp. Ds has not had it yet (he is 4) wouldn't mind him getting it soonish. Thanks for the advice Novice and shop have banked that away for when it strikes.
Lib hope you had a good holiday.
Karbea hope you feel better today. We all have a day like that at some point in life. A few years ago, before we moved into our new house having sold the old one we moved in with my parents for 3 week,s which turned into 5 months due to crappy builders. I had to wear the same couple of outfits the whole time which were bad anyway and I remember pretending I had not seen an old work friend in town as I looked so awful. Unfortunately she spotted me Blush Sounds like the uggs are to blame. Get rid of them and get a pair of simple ankle boots in an autumn colour. Got to be better than the uggs Grin
Marsha hope your kitchen problems are all sorted. What a nightmare. Can I be nosy and ask what sort of kitchen and colour you went for?
Santa hope your foot is better you really do have impressive reflexes!
Fedup love the orange bag. Fossil have some lovely bags this season.

sorry if I have missed anyone I have read back but can't remember anymore.
Not much to report fashion wise. I feel stuck in a rut with the same old coat and biker boots. Going sockless would bring so may more options but it is still too cold and I am a wuss.

QueenCardigan · 23/03/2015 14:00

karbea most people I know that walk their dogs just change into a weatherproof coat and wellies (hunters seem to be the thing round here). As the school run is the focus of my day I've invested in good weatherproof coats so I have a winter barbour,a winter north face and a new spring barbour so at least I feel vaguely stylish. Like you though, I often always grab those as they're nearest to the door but if I'm doing something normal in them I feel pretty rubbish. I have to often remind myself to put on my smarter wool coats or blazer.
mara how's ds doing?
justa same here-can't wait to go sockless again but it's turned out freezing today after a promising sunny start.

maradesbois · 23/03/2015 15:44

Afternoon!

Haven't gone stir crazy yet confined to the house but it's early days. Thanks for all the pox support and info. Ds doesn't seem to be suffering too much and certainly not lost his hearty appetite. Went to the pharmacy this morning to stock up (not with ds). Novice the PoxClin is wonderful stuff.

Bernice I never listen to dh about casual stuff, if I did we'd both be ready to star in brooks bros ad. A very preppy look does suit him but there are bad Levi's in there like mrlinus but also diesel that are much better.

Linus I have that edition of French Vogue if it's the one with the enfants supplement. That's where I first read about Mimi's blog, there's a big feature on her wonderful life and gorgeous non-spotty dc.

Lots of little Capucines in France atm, it was on my girls name list but don't think it works so well in UK. Also love Apolline and Clementine.

libertychick · 23/03/2015 15:53

Quick link for Marsha Next canvas shoes. Like you I wanted to go cheap on the white trainers trend. I got these today - they are off white / creamy colour rather than white. Seem well made and don't make feet look long (like converse) or wide (like superga).

Drywhiteplease · 23/03/2015 16:20

Bernice £86.78p Grin

Don't have a dog, but invested in a Dubarryesque leather field boots a few years ago which just make me feel smarter when I'm out in the countryside, and they're warmer than wellies.

OTD was Hobbs red/orange skirt
Cos black and white stripy jumper, linked by Stokey
Black round neck fitted cardigan, for you QC Wink
Opaques, black boots.
Making more of an effort to wear coloured bottoms, red skirt feels super bright for me.
