karbea, plenty of Nike to choose from

Karbea · 22/03/2015 13:59

queen theoretically I should have time to do everything, I work 13hrs and week and do 3hrs volunteering... I think I need to write a list each evening or something...

QueenCardigan · 22/03/2015 14:23

Theoretically we should all have time but I'm never sure where it all goes Grin. By time you've walked your dogs/shopped/cooked/cleaned etc it doesn't leave much time.

Fedupnagging · 22/03/2015 15:13

Flowers Karbea I am sure that you don't look awful at all but totally get that feeling/looking awful thing. Agree with Mara about the Uggs.

Not sure who was asking about Supergas but I have a couple of pairs and prefer them to converse - they are a slightly wider fit. Am wearing my blue ones today with jeans (large turnup) and a breton.

Great links this morning as always Queen. Love the pink jumpsuit but not so much the platforms!

Sorry you are not managing to get away Novice but am sure you will do lots of lovely family things anyway.

Nice dress from Sainsbury's Dry. I popped in there earlier as my friend also go a lovely beach dress but neither were in stock. btw, fab outfit today.

We went out with friends last night and this is what I wore: top
these but in black
<a class="break-all" href="//pwww.pinterest.com/pin/296533956689001905/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">shoes and finally
this gorgeous bag

I definitely need a couple more things for holiday next week but not seen anything I particularly like. I think I will wait til I am there now and go shopping!

Drywhiteplease · 22/03/2015 15:26

Fedup I fancy that bag in dark brown, seems to have disappeared from website though Confused, need cross bady

Fedupnagging · 22/03/2015 15:30

Maybe it will be re introduced for the autumn Dry- brown bags are hard to buy I find - its difficult to get the shade right . I have been looking for a tan bag for ages. I either like the style or the colour but never both at the same time. Unless of course its ££££'s!

Ujjayi · 22/03/2015 16:29

Gorgeous spring day here but still a chill in the air. I'm wearing pale blue cable knit cashmere roll neck, battered skinny jeans & converse, with my hair in a bun. DH says I look very French casual...

Thanks for all the wardrobe advice. I will get there!

Karbea back pain is horrid & really affects my mood too. Agree with Mara that having sharper looking items makes me feel more together so definitely ditch the Uggs for now.

Got to dash off but will pop back to talk dog walking clothes later!

OneLittleLady · 22/03/2015 16:29

what a fab compliment Dry I'd feel positively fantastic if i was told that. you do have a fab fab fab figure though, very trim and toned and you look absolutely great

Final holiday prep has begun. starting to get things charged up like the kindle that have longer life batteries and packing toiletries and the few bits of clothes I missed in my original packing session. Must go to the pharmacy tomorrow for missing tablets and then go and exchange some sterling for dollars. Sunglasses are being bought last minute as I have no idea what style i want or anything

Ujjayi · 22/03/2015 16:31

Oh & QueenC was right - I have the ecru Italian Selvedge jeans from Topshop which are boyfriend style. I think they have a few styles in ecru now so worth a look.

AmberNectarine · 22/03/2015 17:05

I bought white jeans today - ankle zip ones from Uniqlo. I never spend much on white jeans because I spill stuff.

I am starting the bikini body guide by Kayla itsines tomorrow. It require you to work out 6 days a week and post weekly bikini shots on Instagram. 12 weeks of pain, but having done her workouts before and seen a noticeable improvement it should be worth it. DH has consented to a big ticket holiday (probably Caribbean) so I'll have a target. Hardest bit will be cutting back on the drink!

LinusDKD · 22/03/2015 17:07

Evening!

Rubbish weather here all weekend, we were so spoilt with two weeks of lovely weather.

karbea we all have days like that! I hope you feel better about yourself today!

marsha we watched The Imitiation Game in the end and really loved it.

dry now why do I never get compliments from strange men just like you!?
the fact that I'm not ripped because I haven't seet foot in a gym in decades is neither here nor there

All this talk of jeans reminded me of a question I have: where does your DH/DP buy his?

DH likes to wear jeans on weekends but the Levi's he has are just not flattering. Especially in the bottom area. Wink

Drywhiteplease · 22/03/2015 17:16

linusthis is the first and only time it's happened Grin
Amber we saw you in a bikini shot last year and you looked fab then, do you really need to put yourself through this when you're still looking great?

Two Jean questions;

  1. How do you keep your white jeans white? The Baxters I'm wearing look a bit off white, shall I boil wash them not a prob if they shrink a but
  2. jimmies.....small lady wearers, do you turn up or shorten? I've been turning mine up and was wondering now I have 3 pairs Shock whether to shorten my darker/smarter pair?
bettykt · 22/03/2015 17:36

Dry wow what a lovely compliment, bet you were grinning from ear to ear. You've inspired me to dig out my white jeans. I've lost a stone since Xmas so may give them a go on the sr tomorrow with Pistols, shirt and Tippi.

Linus I'm trying to get my dh to up his game in the style department. His last pair of jeans were from Gap but before he used to wear Diesel but I think they are pretty passé these days, it's been a while since he's bought some.

Amber didn't think you'd need to do anything for a bikini body, you already look great.

I love that James Perse top Fedup

Popped to town this afternoon in search of this H&M shirt I like the colour and style and even though it's 100% cotton it didn't feel crisp and was quite creased so I didn't end up buying it, but came home with some Circulon pans instead Hmm not very MNV.

shopafrolic · 22/03/2015 18:06

Linus DH buys his from GAP - the real straight ones. Creature of habit. (He wore Diesel when I met him). I haven't looked at your Uniqlo tee - was just going to post on unopened......
Loving all the white jeans talk. Might have to go there this year

Speaking of men's clothes, we're going to a pretty informal wedding in the summer. Any ideas what dp should wear? His only suits are very old, black and too big, but no real point in buying a new one, as it won't get any wear.

LinusDKD · 22/03/2015 19:06

No Gap here unfortunately and he really needs to try them on.

remus how about thos look ?

It's not a suit but a bit more festive for a wedding, even though it's not a formal one.

dry I turn up my Jimmies as I quite like that look on boyfriend jeans. My skinnies I have shortened usually or I buy the shortest length if they do one.

shopafrolic · 22/03/2015 19:11

Dry I would only ever wear boyfriend jeans rolled up.......
Remus chinos of some description and a shirt? Or he could hire something.....

santamarianovella · 22/03/2015 19:24

karbrea I've seen your pic too,and its impossible to imagine you looking awful, but yes ditch the uggs, and get proper comfy boots or flats for walking,

dry that's not a compliment that's the truth you have an amazing body, great behind, Smile

I recently bought a pair of white jeans, from marant , love them great fit,not skinny, I think I'm abandoning skinnies Shock, I tried frame straight leg the other day and I love them, thinking of getting them, think they are great for spring,

linus we've downloaded the imitation game but haven't seen it yet, I watched la reine margot last night, my god, Isabelle adjani was breathtaking in that movie,

We had some friends today for lunch , nothing formal so did a simple tomato tart, a roast chicken with creme fraiche and herbs, with a gazillion potatoes ala lyonnaise and my favourite, calvados apple tart ,yummy!recipes are curtsey of mimi thorisson, ,was a big success, her book is amazing , heavy french cooking but oh so worth it! I'm not eating much tomorrow. stupidly wore my cream Bruno sweater and Bruno white lace skirt, felt good in it, until i found a tiny stain on my skirt when I changed this evening , Sad going to the dry cleaners first thing tomorrow,

BrandyAlexander · 22/03/2015 19:38

Give.me.strength.AngryAngryAngry And breeeeeathe.

Drywhiteplease · 22/03/2015 19:41

Righto keep the turn ups, like them that way anyway.
Novice Wine you ok?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 22/03/2015 19:41

Love that, Linus.

Chinos and a waistcoat might be a good idea, although dp hates clothes and hates spending money on them even more, so not sure how far I'll get with him! Am determined that he's not going to be wearing a huge and ancient suit though! :)

Drywhiteplease · 22/03/2015 19:42

Santa you're v kind, my booty is not my smallest feature though Grin

Drywhiteplease · 22/03/2015 19:50

Love this

Drywhiteplease · 22/03/2015 19:55

Mrs Thatcher blouse anyone? Grin

Ellisisland · 22/03/2015 19:57

Evening all no fashion news from me just catching up

fedup love that bag - tan bags are so hard to come by I am super fussy about the shade as well.

Love the links QueenC

I got rid of my uggs in the end as I never felt good in them. Esp after living in NZ where they are considered a house and garden boot and no one ever wore them anywhere else.

Have had a nightmare day with baby DS crying all day. Had my pedometer on my phone and my phone in my back pocket. Just checked it and despite not leaving the house today I walked 20000 steps! That's all the pacing up and down trying to settle him!
