Or this? It will be a little longer on you Dry.

Talking of yellow, TK also had a Ralph Lauren blazer in a muted yellow - super flattering style but wrong colour for me - it's not online but maybe in other stores.

justasecond · 25/02/2015 22:10

what about something like this Dry
long silk shirt
or
this
or
printed silk top

libertychick · 25/02/2015 22:12

Here's a potential Marmite item H&M faux suede short wide trousers. I tried them on the other day and I liked them Smile but didn't buy as I could figure out how to style them. So (a) opinions please and (b) how to style?

justasecond · 25/02/2015 22:22

I like those Lib! how about with a simple tshirt or or a fine knit crew neck jumper?

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 22:29

I've just skim read the last couple of pages so apologies if I've missed anything.

karbea I wore a vest and cycling shorts for the bit where she looked at my body shape and took measurements. I deginitely wouldn't have felt comfortable in underwear or swimwear though. In term of what to take, make some things that are totally you and you feel great in and some things which don't work at all for you or you're unsure about. I took loads but it was just me at the session.
ujjayi im shy too which people often find hard to believe but prosecco sure helps. Im happy to meet you beforehand and we can go in together.

At some point I'll pm everyone details about the mu but basically the place is booked for 12.30 and from experience we stay there till 5/6 and then head off somewhere else. For those who can only make bits of it then I'll give you my mobile number and we can keep in contact by text. Dont worry about what to wear. ujjayi I try and be groomed at meet ups purely because they're adult only time but if you saw me most of the time with the kds I'm not at all. I usually a sweaty mess by the meet up anyway after traipsing round regent St trying on clothes. I usually use the last changing room to top up my make up and make myself look vaguely presentable!

Finally, I think there was a discussion a few days ago about how you plan your outfits. Some people said they work from the shoes up. I've realised that I plsn around the handbag! I'm away this weekend and have planned my outfits around the handbag that I want to use.

Loving the Bicester knowledge. Thanks all .

I was thinking fine knit cream crew neck Justa. Coat/jacket is tricky. and not sure about shoes...

QueenQueenie · 25/02/2015 22:35

Me again...
Bought the Toast denim skirt and it's really nice - quite stiff and a good shape.
Liking the coatigans... what do you think of this blue beauty?

justasecond · 25/02/2015 22:38

What about brogues or loafers Lib or even trainers? I keep thinking a navy blazer would be nice with but not sure if it is one of your colours?

libertychick · 25/02/2015 22:40

Very nice QueenQueenie, gorgeous colour.
Great that the Toast denim skirt works.

justasecond · 25/02/2015 22:41

That coatigan is lovely Queenie great colour

libertychick · 25/02/2015 22:43

Oh brogues are a good idea. There is a navy in the autumn colours, it's quite a tricky shade to find. But if I had all the other colours ok I think a navy blazer would work.

Drywhiteplease · 25/02/2015 22:54

Thanks for the leather inspiration...was thinking silk shirts. Justa I love the printed MD red ans black a lot.

Ujjayi · 25/02/2015 23:05

TK Maxx links have persuaded me to part with cash for the MiH skinnies & this Elizabeth & James dress.

Queenie like the Cos coatigan.

Enjoy your day tomorrow Karbea.

Awww you lot are great with your encouragement in getting me to come along to the MU Smile.

Ujjayi · 25/02/2015 23:07

Dry - I wear a Zara plaid shirt with my skinny pleathers - sometimes layered over a long sleeve white tee.

Also wear slouchy knits - jumpers & cardigans layered over tees & vests.

shopafrolic · 26/02/2015 08:11

Morning Voguettes! Anyone watch / go to the Brits? Poor old Madge Shock - that had to hurt! Someone's gonna get fired......

interesting about the frustration of jeans sizing

MarshaBrady · 26/02/2015 09:44

I didn't see it Shop but heard 6 music talking about it. Sounded like it hurt!

Some of the outfits here. Hmm at most of them.

MarshaBrady · 26/02/2015 10:07

It will be fantastic if Stokey, Karbea, Ujjayi and Justa can all make the mu, sounds so good.

Love that pic of choc below Karbea, bet it was nice.

Ujj I feel best not dressed up, the dress wasn't me last time . I usually do skinnies and jumper or t. At a push a skirt and jumper.

QueenC great organising thanks

Queenie what a lovely colour, it's nice.

Lib I really like those and think you can style them really well

MarshaBrady · 26/02/2015 10:08

Blair how are you feeling? I remember Sleep saying something about stress and tummies, so it might be stress. Not sure what the tips are to fix it, but I imagine green tea or something?

AmberNectarine · 26/02/2015 10:11

I'm quite tempted to try a similar experiment on my blog shop - that's a really interesting article.

MarshaBrady · 26/02/2015 10:15

That is interesting Shop, yes great idea Amber.

I'd like to see high st, but also designer would be fab to know. I'm convinced Acne is tiny.

They will change hugely depending on market, not surprised Miss Selfridge is tiny.

MarshaBrady · 26/02/2015 10:15

Her face is funny on that one

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/02/2015 10:34

Morning!

Dry sorry I went to bed before I saw your post! Thanks Flowers we have a massive tea selection in the office so I may try green or peppermint. Don't have TCP so I might buy some at lunch.

Marsha I feel better (and worse) thanks - stomach ache is better, bloating is still there but now I have an upset stomach feeling. Think it must be a bug, so I just need to feel better before the weekend!

V interesting about the jeans - also re Acne as I have my eye on a pair from there. Wouldn't be impressed if I had to size up too much Wink

Karbea Hope you're having a fab day!

Yes last time the MU was evening so we dressed up a bit more, but I think when it's a daytime one it's bound to be more relaxed. I was even thinking about wearing jeans.

Dry what about a long silk shirt (maybe longer at the back) or I also imagine something like Rick Owens does.

OneLittleLady · 26/02/2015 10:42

morning all. I've come down with some kind of stomach bug, which is no surprise given how rubbish my immune system seems to be. I'm sat here shivering and sweating under a blanket. Ugh not what I needed to round off my week!

lib I like those short, wide trousers. I can see them with a close fit knit and brogues in my head.

Newbies, don't be scared of the MU, everyone is lovely and no one judges. Even I, anxiety queen, have been to one and loved it. In truth, I spent the whole time I was travelling down to London to go to it wondering if everyone would think I was scruffy and difficult (because of the aforementioned anxiety) but no, everyone was great, everyone knew who I was as soon as I walked in, I still remember the big chorus of One!!!! as I came in. Go, you will love it, I promise Smile
