You do look great in them Amber, and love that and I'm not even sorry.

But safe to say I wouldn't go near them with a 10 foot poll

Snap Ujj I watched that last night, Dh got home past midnight from work and it was the perfect film. Loved it. Thought it might be too schmaltzy as films about older people tend to be, but it was very well done.

I'm wearing running gear a lot these days and that is dull. I do need to refresh wardrobe but will wait for the first blossom, or something.

Karbea · 25/02/2015 11:44

ujj I completely agree. I used to prefer how she blogged when she started. Now it feels like she thinks "right, what shall I blog about today... Red jumpers", then pops onto shopstyle, types in red jumpers and then just copies and pastes them into her blog, if she's popping to Bluewater she might pop into TopShop and try on a red jumper... Then she just shows a picture if what she wore today, which is pretty much the same a she wore yesterday.
I don't mean that in anyway bitchy at all. But I just agree it's lazy and she can do a lot better. But I guess it takes a lot of effort to blog everyday...
I look forward to her home style blogs.

Saint Laurent clogs Shock in my early 20s I only wore clogs, I was so directional! Just a bit early, cough

bettykt · 25/02/2015 11:59

Morning, just!

I love that dvf dress Mara shame it's just a tad too short for me. Was excited when you bought t Lib but understand that purchases have to be considered so good for you for cancelling.

I'm wearing the same clothes day in day out at the moment, skinnies jeans in grey, indigo or black wash, Pistols, Pettys or NB trainers, Me and Em sweaters or Tippis. I too am being a lot more considered with my purchases and only buying things from my wish list therefore I'm not looking at any websites to avoid impulse buying. It seems really boring but I really only want to buy things that I really really want. See, some of your good shopping habits are rubbing off on me.

Gap are doing 30% off jeans and normally I'd buy some flares just because but I deleted the email and didn't even look at their website Shock

Amber I love how you buy something and know straight away what you'll wear with it, i.e. the denim skirt. I still buy stuff randomly and hope for the best, I'm not thinking in outfits.

Wow that's turned into a long me me me post Blush

And as for dungarees, I'm saying no for me, I won't be wearing them as they are not me but that doesn't mean they are not for everything. sitting on the fence Grin

Having a black dye disaster here. Just dyed a purple silk dress black. It hasn't entirely taken which is bad enough but the washing machine is now absolutely covered with sooty black dye Shock DH is going to flip. I ran an extra cycle after the initial dye to clean the machine and remove excess dye from the fabric - as per instructions on the packet. Have scrubbed at the seals etc with white vinegar and am now running an additional 90 wash to see if that cleans it all off...And I've managed to get black dye on my hands which isn't coming off either. This is not a good situation when you are working with crisp white taffeta!

I was thinking of putting the dress through another dye cycle but I'm not sure I dare Blush.

Karbea not bitchy at all. I think fashion blogging is actually really hard unless you have an incredible budget or brands throwing freebies at you so that every day you can wear something totally different. She has a formula for her style and it absolutely works but day after day of "here's me in scarf and skinnies" gets rather dull IMO.

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 12:58

Can I join in the critique of dmbl40. Her posts bore me to death. I looked at her the other day as someone linked her blog about something but goodness me. Dull, dull, dull. Im sure it is hard to blog and I've often considered it myself but can't really be arsed but it'd be better to do less and more quality. That's why I like Susie so so. She blogs when she has something worth blogging about. Rant over Grin.

Dungaree wearers go for it. I think they're great but look naff on so many people, myself included.

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 13:00

mara the place is booked for 12.30. I'm heading home at 8.30!

maradesbois · 25/02/2015 13:23

Tks QueenC. My train is booked!

So who all is coming to this mu?

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 13:29

Fedup may pop in
Stokey may pop in
Amber if her plans change
Ujjayi if I can persuade her

Anyone I've missed???

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 13:30

Waiting to hear from novice. Hoping we can get karbea. Can't remember if marsha has responded?

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 13:30

Also we need to convince shop that she can do two trips to London that month...

maradesbois · 25/02/2015 13:34

Oh go on Shop Grin

MarshaBrady · 25/02/2015 13:59

Great list, I really hope to be there. 75% I will, but just need to check on something.

sleepwhenidie · 25/02/2015 14:13

QueenC I'm not 100% but am going to try!

Karbea · 25/02/2015 15:31

queen I'd really love to come, but it's a Saturday and dh works away from home during the week a lot so I often only see him on a Saturday. What time are you meeting? If he's been in London all week that week I'll come but if he's been travelling I should really see him...

Drywhiteplease · 25/02/2015 15:32

liberty "hit the button in a frenzy" welcome to my world! Grin
Ujj love how you asked me what shoes I'd wear with dungarees Grin .... Probably wellies, gingham shirt and straw in my mouth Grin..... I think they are a dressed down item though, so trainers or brogues I guess.

I like Doesmybum, it is repetitive, she does go on a bit, but she's very funny and dry and looks fab in everything. Personally I just want outfit ideas from blogs, increasingly Pinterest is doing that for me. ( btw Amber I like the new blog format)

Ujjayi · 25/02/2015 15:39

Dry - is that not you in the photo/link you posted earlier? You said shoes were wrong so I assumed that was you & you were seeking opinions. Oh my word. I need a lie down when I've finished blushing with embarrassment!!!

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 16:27

karbea 12.30 till late.

Karbea · 25/02/2015 16:28

I will really try to pop in for at least a lunch time "hello"...

OneLittleLady · 25/02/2015 16:36

hello all. today has wiped me out and i'm ashamed to say i lost my temper queuing for the bus and ended up, in a raised voice, asking if i was invisible Blush it was the final straw in many straws of being ignored, excluded and made to feel like i don't exist or i'm not there. feel a bit ashamed for snapping though

Karbea · 25/02/2015 16:43

marsha IM Clogs

shopafrolic · 25/02/2015 16:56
