blair earrings are really something you have to try on but how about these

LinusDKD · 24/02/2015 13:26

these are a bit longer

LinusDKD · 24/02/2015 13:27

a lot more blingy so these you would definitely have to try with the dress.

LinusDKD · 24/02/2015 13:41

shop pm!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/02/2015 13:42

They're all nice Linus! I tried to look at Swarovski yesterday, but find the website a complete pain so thanks for that :)

Can't believe I was considering silver now, even my SIL reminded me on pinterest that gold is part of my theme!

maradesbois · 24/02/2015 13:43

I think that Linus's first ones are perfect bridal jewellery ie fit in without detracting from the main outfit focus being the dress.

libertychick · 24/02/2015 15:37

I have just hit the order button on that DVF dress. Thanks Mara Smile

Drywhiteplease · 24/02/2015 17:41

Shoe porn alert!
gorgeous and nearly sold out can't find the Philip Lim these are ripping off, but they're obv nicer, better heel. Still I'd settle for TS Grin

shopafrolic · 24/02/2015 18:32

I'm not loving either of those Dry Shock

I need to start preparing for my style day... How much stuff did you take?

libertychick · 24/02/2015 23:32

Karbea I brought my make up bag (this was really good to compare what I had to recommended make up), 7/8 items of clothing - mix of things I liked and not so sure about and a selection of accessories.

One hope you sleep tonight Flowers

OneLittleLady · 25/02/2015 07:41

Thanks lib I did manage to get a couple of hours sleep so it's better than the nothing I was getting before!

Very very casual dress for me today, grey acid wash skinnies, black and silver harry potter tee, black boyfriend cardigan, black velvet dr martens and on top will be my black and purple polka dot coat, purple wool scarf and probably my wool beanie with cat ears

Drywhiteplease · 25/02/2015 07:51

Was it my shoe link or the dungarees? All went quiet last night.
just to add to the dungarees debate shoe are all wrong.

LinusDKD · 25/02/2015 07:58

Your shoes are not really my thing dry but I think they are less marmite than the dungarees I linked. Wink

DH absolutely hated the dungarees so I'll hold out buying them, for now. Grin

Karbea · 25/02/2015 08:15

I'm definitely in the "say NO to dungarees" camp.
I sort of liked the shoes, I think they would look pretty cool on someone, but not me.

I'm hanging out at home today, waiting for light fittings to arrive. So wearing a grey primark hoody, and my new green Tracksuit bots, pink fluffy socks... I'm practically a rainbow!

shopafrolic · 25/02/2015 09:25

OOooooo, quiet on here last night. Are we losing our fashion Mojo?
My radio silence was because we have bought a 3D DVD player to go with our 3D TV so I spent the evening 3D geeking out to Maleficent which I loved! Perfect for Angelina J - fab effects. Love watching movies that take you to a different world.
Wet and miserable here. Need the sunny days so bretons and flats can come out......
Karbea I've booked a style day too - for April. Will be interested to hear how you get on.

I was MIA last night watching the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Just adore this movie. It's like a comforting book of short stories. Perfect for a rainy evening (or afternoon).

I have to say, I really like the dungarees but just not for me. Dry I love the styling with the cute blouse beneath. What shoes would you opt for? Brogues in a light colour (anything but black)?

One glad you got some sleep at last. Any news on your appointment at the specialist pain clinic?

I dug out my cashmere MaxMara coat on Monday and have worn it every day since. I bought it in the early stages of pregnancy with eldest DS (1999) and wore it loads but in the last 5 years it gets pulled out of the wardrobe, assessed and usually put back or worn just once or twice. Honestly, what have I been thinking all winter?! It is oversized and full length with that perfect ovoid shape (which stops it from looking like City wear circa 98). So I have turned back the cuffs and am channelling Garance Dore. And oh my word it is soooo warm and cosy!

I also had a sneaky purchase this morning. After reading DMBL40 blog, I have been convinced to order this cardigan/coat I think the Zara styling looks a bit pants to be honest but if you scroll down Kat's photo makes it look way better. I've had it delivered to store (because who knows where my stuff is going to at the moment!) so hopefully I will collect it on Saturday.

Ujjayi · 25/02/2015 09:46

Shop we watched Maleficent recently too and even eldest DS (14 and therefore very hard to please because any movie not a 15 cert is lame) thought it was amazing.

Karbea · 25/02/2015 10:16

ujj I'm not convinced by the cardi! but I think as I'm so sort anything like that would just drown me.
I wish dmbl40 would give up on the fashion stuff and concentrate on the home styling, I love everything she posts on instagram from her home.

libertychick · 25/02/2015 10:18

I was working last night

ujjayi I really like that coatigan.

Blair I forgot to thank you for the dress link yesterday. I have it on my 'maybe' list.

I cancelled the Outnet order for the DVF Prita dress Mara linked yesterday. I ordered in a huge hurry and then forgot I had Blush. I decided to cancel as it suddenly felt like a really rubbish way to shop. I want to enjoy the process not just hit the order button in a frenzy. Anyway another thumbs up for outnet CS. I emailed them around 11pm and had a reply at 1.30am to say it was all sorted.

Karbea · 25/02/2015 10:18

Ignore the !

AmberNectarine · 25/02/2015 10:21

I love my dungarees - wearing them again today and I'm not even sorry.

Ordered the black and leopard Stan Smiths last night. Wasn't going to buy a pair because I think they need to look really white to look good but the look so cool in black I couldn't resist. Will wear with my dungarees! I bought DH a gorgeous pale grey suede pair for Xmas and have been envious ever since.

Have also just taken delivery of this cheap and cheerful denim skirt which I will wear now much as shown on the site and in the summer with a tucked in white tee and my gazelle high tops.

QueenCardigan · 25/02/2015 10:39

i just fancied a break from mums net last night. Shocking I know Wink.

karbea enjoy your style day. Can't wait to see what you are.
dry I agree I don't think those girly shoes go with the dungarees. And the ts shoes are far too fierce for me.

Feels a little warmer today and date I say it, spring like. But after the last two days of hail and cold winds I don't want to get too excited.

I feel like I have lost my style mojo a bit shop, just because I'm wearing the same thing everyday. I need spring to come to get out some of my other clothes and style things a bit differently. And even though I browse online nothing is really taking my fancy.

maradesbois · 25/02/2015 11:29

Morning,

Dungarees have certainly been the hot topic this week, love that nobody is sitting on the fence! It's a nono from me but maybe I'm boringly classic or they are just plain wrong Grin.

QueenC what time is mu on 14/3? Need to book my travel.

Amber plain grey suede sounds lovely. I 'built' some superstars online in white snake print with grey trim but didn't order them.

Will be in town tomorrow, going to pop into topshop to try Jamie flares. If I get some want trainer/flat sandal length for daytime. Apart from that I need to keep money back for non-fashion maintenance like getting my feet sorted, they're so shot to pieces from running think it's gone beyond footner.

Lib the dress looked lovely but ikwym about the quick click followed by second thoughts. Good cs from outnet as ever.

Ujjayi love the sound of your Garance-style coat.

One Flowers take care & hope some of the herbal stuff can help you get some more sleep.

Ujjayi · 25/02/2015 11:36

Karbea I agree about DMBL40 and I think she has said she will focus more on interiors for a while but nothing in evidence yet other than on Instagram. I like her style but I don't like the endless shopping posts. I think it's quite lazy blogging. Or maybe it is because I am a very visual person so I look for an instant snapshot in a blog which captures the whole essence i.e. her "what I wore today" images rather than 20 downloaded images from retailers.

Amber am laughing because I read the opening sentence of your post as though it were spoken by a petulant child! But good on you. I think you look great in them.

I like Stan Smiths but just not convinced they would be good for my cankles. I think that I they flatter only those blessed with gazelle-esque lower limbs. Sadly.

Lib I am trying very hard to be more judicious about my purchases this year. I'm trying not to impulse buy and if I don't love it or it isn't absolutely flattering then it has to go back.
