shopafrolic · 22/02/2015 15:34

Great outfit Shop.

What a PITA karbea.

QueenC I have looked at that Hobbs dress a few times on line, haven't seen it in a shop to try. Very nice but not sure where I would wear it, the ties on the back make me think it wouldn't work under a jacket. Possible denim skirt for you?

QueenCardigan · 22/02/2015 15:45

amber I'm Envy that you're young and cool enough to pull of dungarees. I would just look like an oversized toddler.
Just nipped to the shops after lunch to try bare minerals but the assistant was busy doing a makeover. Think I will order the lily lilo stuff that was recommended.
There are no flares in the shops at all. New look was all skinnies, as was oasis, river island and topshop (although the model had flares on in the window). I tried on the gap curvy and liked them. No quite so flare-y as the flares I own so may be a better option. Also a better fit at the top although possibly too tight. ujayyi I'll pm you back but not sure that I can justify buying yours at the mo too.

QueenCardigan · 22/02/2015 15:47

It's not me after a denim skirt, it's queenqueenie.

lib I saw the dress today and it's gorgeous. The green looked lovely for me but I'm not going to buy anything yet like that for the summer but it may well be an option for my do's. Although as you say if it's chilly it'll be difficult to wear anything with it and one of the party's is in a marquee.

Ujjayi · 22/02/2015 15:49

Karbea I love the IM Andrew boots. Go back for them after your Outnet returns. Am still kicking myself for walking straight past a selection priced at £175 at my local boutique. WTF was I thinking? Confused

Amber I am envious of the dungarees. I wore them at uni & whilst pg with DCs but it isn't a look I could revisit now.

Not loving WITs LFW outfit again today. The MiH Marrakesh swamp her from the knee down. She suits the TS Jamies much better for her frame. Absolutely love her white coat though.

QueenCardigan · 22/02/2015 15:49

gap curvy jeans

GeorginaWorsley · 22/02/2015 15:54

ujayyi
Loved the Pin you linked toSmile
I have an abundance of grey in my wardrobe but actually no grey joggers..
Have some charcoal harems from Next last spring though, plus black leather biker, grey cashmere scarf and white Stan Smith a likes.
May attempt to re create.Grin

QueenCardigan · 22/02/2015 15:54

I also bought this bag in grey. The lighting in the shop wasn't great and I was worried it may be a bit of a brown grey. It's quite like the mole swatch. Perfect size for carrying around dc crap in the summer. I love the le pliage but not the brown handles.

karbea if you love them get them when you can. How long can they hold them for?

libertychick · 22/02/2015 15:54

oops sorry QueenQueenie, not paying attention.

QueenQueenie · 22/02/2015 15:57

Thanks for your efforts...
Any thoughts on this? toast denim skirt

LinusDKD · 22/02/2015 15:59

amber I love dungarees but I don't think they love me back.

I linked to a floral denim pair from TS on MNV last year and was nearly banned forever. Sad

I might see if H&M have a pair and try them on just to see whether I look completely like a giant toddler.

libertychick · 22/02/2015 16:01

They are the ones I linked for QueenC having mixed you both up QueenQueenie. Definitely worth a try I think.

Karbea · 22/02/2015 16:01

Ok so the plan is... Call dhl arrange for both boxes to be returned to the outnet (I think that'll have to be Tuesday am) first thing tomorrow then I'll go to the bank at 9am and get some cash then drive to Bicester for when it opens at 10, grab the boots, get home jump on the train to meet my friend for lunch at 12:45. :)

They'll hold the boots till tomorrow, they are the very last pair, so it's them or nothing.

Yes I really like them. I know I'll be annoyed if I didn't get them.

BrandyAlexander · 22/02/2015 16:35

Karbea on a mission Grin

dungarees + me = no, just no. I am resigned to admiring them from afar!

so I am just packing for a long haul trip tomorrow but I don't actually know if I am allowed to fly! my car arrives at 8.30am at same time the doctor is due to call me with my test results.Confused

OneLittleLady · 22/02/2015 16:42

novice hope test results are good and in your favour. hope you're alright Thanks

karbea get the boots!

decided i'm going to travel on the plane in the maxi I got from Shop so my legs can be covered if I get chilly but it'll be easy to roll up a bit if i'm the opposite and i'm too warm. Finishing [packing my suitcase this week so Dp can take it down to london for me next weekend to save me trying to travel on my own with it on the train. I can't find my pashmina anywhere though, I strongly suspect it's made its way into my sisters wardrobe so there's little to no hope of it being found or returned in time. I really could have done with it though for the plane

Karbea · 22/02/2015 16:49

one when I travelled back from Hawaii I wore a maxi! it was a three plane journey and took 24hrs. The maxi was perfect, although I think a pashmina is a definite. Even when you're given blankets I still find I need a pashmina or two. I always find layering is the way forward when flying. I always take a spare pair of knickers if it's long haul as well, I've landed 24hrs before my luggage before and I'm never going to get caught without again...

libertychick · 22/02/2015 16:54

Fingers crossed all is well Novice.

Karbea · 22/02/2015 16:57

novice fingers crossed you're all ok to fly.

LinusDKD · 22/02/2015 17:09

novice I hope your test results are ok!

I like that Toast skirt queenqueenie.

BrandyAlexander · 22/02/2015 17:15

Thanks all. Thanks should be fine. I feel okay.

I have a plane uniform. It horrifies my poor mother who dresses up to the nines for every plane journey, but works for me. so tomorrow will be my me & em long sleeved tee, over which I will wear my white company cashmere marl curved hem sweater over it with comfortable gap skinnies. I also have my travelling cashmere wrap (like a big pashmina) and then my bikers which I take off and have, yup you guessed right. ... cashmere socks. I get a bit cold on planesGrin

MarshaBrady · 22/02/2015 17:16

Planes are cold. Hope you feel better tomorrow Novice.

Karbea · 22/02/2015 17:22

novice I normally wear something similar, or I take a complete change of clothes, comfy leggings, socks, vest, jumper etc. the maxi was on the return after a fairly long holiday but it actually worked quite well.
I think my dh is like your mother he always makes an effort I look like a slob but I'm comfy

QueenCardigan · 22/02/2015 17:26

novice hope you're ok.
When I've travelled long haul I've been known to change into my pyjamas Grin. Layers are deginitely the way to go.

BrandyAlexander · 22/02/2015 17:35

There was a thread once about someone going in club for first time wondering what to wear. I thought oh you would be so disappointed to run into me! On overnights back I take my pj's too. ln first the speed with which people change into the free pj's is quite funny!
