We are so over winter and cannot wait for Spring/Summer 2015 to hit the rails - come and chat about clothes, make up, sparkles and shoes. All styles, tastes and budgets are welcome.

Your words sound good Ujjayi - be strong Flowers
Removes boxing gloves from Lib in case she hurts someone.
Every celeb I've ever met has been teeny tiny

shopafrolic · 06/02/2015 17:41

Apart from Seal

LinusDKD · 06/02/2015 17:42

Yes, trust your instincts! I hope you find the Dutch courage to tell him to back off.

santa MK obviously needs to raise her profile at the moment so she made that e-mail public to suit her own needs.

But apart from that (her poor DD!) she does have a point about the rudeness of sending out an e-mail to all parents demanding money for a present.

I wouldn't mind a good friend asking to contribute to a joint present (I actually ask my friends what their children would like) but another parent you don't necessarily know dictating what you should buy and stipulating the actual amount is very rude imho.

I actually don't have strong feelings about MK but someone I have an irrational dislike of is Natalie Portman. Sure, she is stunning and intelligent but she is a mediocre actress and just seems smug to me. (I'm sure she will be weeping in her herbal tea when she reads I don't like her Grin )

justasecond · 06/02/2015 17:44

I agree with MK's point, the parents sound v grabby but she is not doing her daughter any favours. Mind you I wouldn't mind paying the £10 to get out of the hassle of buying a present. We have had a lot of parties recently and I have click and collect fatigue.

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2015 17:44

lol Shop at apart from Seal

Sadie Frost used to annoy me irrationally for some reason, she's not about so much anymore. Sure she's upset too.

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2015 17:45

ha Linus we all get one we are irrationally annoyed by, and they get to weep into their herbal tea

Karbea · 06/02/2015 17:51

I've danced with Seal ;)

justasecond · 06/02/2015 17:52

Natalie Portman is indeed stunning but she does have a haughty look about her.

santamarianovella · 06/02/2015 17:54

I can't stand Anne Hathaway,

Ujjayi · 06/02/2015 18:14

Mine is Keira Knightley. Talentless & pouty. Not sure which is worse. I read that she doesn't "do" female friends. Red needy flag right there.

Ujjayi · 06/02/2015 18:16

And I am fortified by your support. Thank you. Will report back around 11pm.

Karbea · 06/02/2015 18:24

ujjayi urgh I hate her too.

Drywhiteplease · 06/02/2015 18:33

Ujj great words. Do it! As I get older I become blunter, can be very blunt sometimes, used to be so nice, it's as if once you stand up and assert yourself the flood gates open. Do it. Btw is he single? Not v nice for his partner if not.
And, yes, K Knightly annoys me too, and Emma Thompson, Kate Winset a little bit....I dislike the false modesty and "ooooh I'm such a twit" act, they over do the Brit thing sometimes speaking as a life long , real twit .... But I do respect E Thompson's intelligence and Kate's embracing of curves.

Drywhiteplease · 06/02/2015 18:35

And bloody Goldie Hawn....eek.
Carol Vorderman is completely up herself and looks like Vanessa Rabbit IRL
I like strong women who can take the piss out if themselves and are nice to other women. I always worry about women who say they don't have any female friends.

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2015 18:36

I just saw another thread on Carol V. I won't link the pic here, delicate voguettes Grin as let's say her yoga leggings are waaay too tight.

Drywhiteplease · 06/02/2015 18:36

And that horrendous woman...Sian Lloyd, her voice.........

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2015 18:37

And too blonde hair

Drywhiteplease · 06/02/2015 18:37

Marsha she wears terrible clothes, tooooooo small

shopafrolic · 06/02/2015 18:38

Which is why I have my Claudia girl crush and am now growing my hair so I can be her.
And then there's Clemence - lush.

LinusDKD · 06/02/2015 18:39

Yes, K Knightly is a bit annoying but I actually find her endearing as well. I think she knows she's not the greatest actress but she has fun doing what she does.

Anne Hathaway seems a bit too earnest to me/taking acting a bit too seriously but I don't really dislike her.

LinusDKD · 06/02/2015 18:41

Oh I love Claudia. If she only knew me I'm sure we could be BFF! [desperate]

MarshaBrady · 06/02/2015 18:41

Dry she took this to a new level, then put it on twitter. I feel sorry for her. Amazing that people can't see things like that in photos. Amazing

I didn't mind AH in TDWP but only because I love the film. Ok she was a tad irritating, but Emily Blunt was fantastic to make up for it.

santamarianovella · 06/02/2015 18:47

love Emily ,
Another one I can't stand is Jennifer Laurence, sooo over rated

Drywhiteplease · 06/02/2015 18:50

Ok, women I'd like to go to the pub with;
Clare Balding
Christen Scott Thomas, bit scary though
Theresa May....haven't a clue about her politics but love her quirky style for an older woman
Caitlin Moran....her book "How to be a woman" is a bible
Julianne Moore......classy, chic, intelligent, beautiful
Adele....bloody incredible talent, keeps her private life private
Angel Hartnett......for being a kick arse chef in a man's world
Claudia Winkleman.....funny, funny woman
Joan Rivers ....for the acerbic wit and gossip
Sara Beany....she's so handy, think she could have built my extension!

I think I'd sit between Claudia and Kaitlin though.........

Karbea · 06/02/2015 18:51

Christine Bleakley is another one for me.
