Yes dh has stayed at home lib. His colleague is an ass when it comes to things like this. You wouldn't believe some of the things he's said when dh or other colleagues have been ill.

Dr has agreed that things have reached breaking point and is going to research which pain clinic in the london area will be best suited to offer me some help. he is going to write to me to get me to go in for an appointment to talk to me about where I will be referred once he has found the right place to send me. He also agrees the disease has spread again and is now also in my right hip. He laughed when I said if it quacks like a duck it's likely to be a duck isn't it. feeling pretty low about it all tbh but must dust myself off and get on, i have a lot of stuff to do and a lot of work to either start or get finished off. Onwards and upwards as they say!

Poor DS has a fever again. Out of the blue he had 40 degrees

I really thought he had had his dose of the flu two weeks ago but it seems I was wrong.

I am also feeling a bit grotty probably also because of my periods but I am self-medicating with Lemsip, chocolate and red wine in the hope of not getting ill myself.

My holiday wardrobe is pretty much complete, just need to check what sandals and other suitable footwear I have. I'd rather not have to buy any more if I don't have to so will check what's in my bag of summer shoes before I decide if i need to buy anything else

Well I may be bowing out of the flares game. I'm wearing them at the moment and got told by DP that he "despises" them and "are you sure they're fashionable?" and I look like I'm from "the 90s". I made him take photos of my legs (wearing pistols) and they don't look how I imagined at all :( I know iphone cameras aren't great but why did I think that someone with short legs and massive thighs could ever look good in flares? They aren't as high waisted as I remembered either.

He has apologised and said that he didn't realise they weren't something I can just return, but it's put a dampener on them for me

Maybe I need to try them with various tops/coats but I feel too bad about it tonight.

Bikini is nice though, think I will keep! not that he deserves to see me in it

Blair . My dh has no filter for things like that either so can appreciate how you feel. Remember this is from the man who wears a onesie though so don't take his opinion too seriously . He was commenting on the garment itself too and not how you looked in it so don't stress about your fab figure. x

Mara on to season 4, Alicia's clothes get better and better. Love how they style Kalinda (always some leather, kick arse) and Diane (big, brassy costume jewellery, big hair, power dressing pro). Alan Cummings and her brother are genius. I'm hooked.

I'm sure you look great in them blair! Maybe try wearing them with something else, like some high heeled pumps.

I can't imagine being in flares, but maybe I just haven't got used to seeing them enough yet.
I have been pretty much low -sugar through Jan (lots of Hemsley recipes) and feel better for it (and have lost 7lbs!) Now I am including some fruit and unrefined sugars.
I'm with Shop on the hen-do front, but I will be leaving early (so the tack can come out then )
