Here I am feeling like my sinus' are going to explode and I'm confronted by that image Smile. But blair as you are about to be a newly wed I don't feel it would be fair on your dh to be. He'd be better shared amongst the rest of us Wink.

So,poor ds has another temperature, dd still isn't 100% and as I've said I feel rotten. Dh is really stressed as I've asked him to stay at home today as I just can't cope. He knows I wouldnt ask unless I was desperate but he's got a colleague who doesn't do illness and as he doesn't have a wife and kids he definitely doesn't do carers leave so he's worried about his reaction. Tbh some things he's said before have been so close to the mark that I'm sure that dh could report him for bullying but that's a whole other story.

shopafrolic · 05/02/2015 08:11

Thanks Sleep

BrandyAlexander · 05/02/2015 09:05

Oh QueenC you poor poor thing. Huge big snugly warm hugs for you x

Sleep, having slept on it, I think I will go with your wrap and some baby clothes.ThanksThanks Now need to pick a colour!

santamarianovella · 05/02/2015 10:09

queen Sad, sounds like a lot for one person to cope with.hope they improve

mara totally agree with you, I know that the quality of Chinese factories varies now,and you can find really good made in china ,but I'm still not convinced, and in. but why Do big retailers, like Donna Karen and Ralph Lauren and I'm not talking about division lines but main one where a dress costs more than 2k is made in china? It's really off putting, I can get a beautiful Dior or chanel piece with superior workmanship around that mark, and its made in EU.

Joe and Channing don't do it for me Blush, too much beefcake for my taste. I don't like an overly muscled body, its like getting hit by wall every time you hug or you know! like a bit of softness, but nothing hanging or out of shape.

santamarianovella · 05/02/2015 10:13

Why oh why does anyone wants to carry a bag with the word slum written all over it?
Or does favela has another meaning I don't know of? Hmm

santamarianovella · 05/02/2015 10:17

Bag will Look good with the pervert shirt,

shopafrolic · 05/02/2015 10:26

Oh God! Hideous.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/02/2015 10:32

Shock wow those are in poor taste especially the favelas one! Ewww

Dry you're very welcome! Wink

I wouldn't want a beefcake in real life, but they're very nice to look at.

shopafrolic · 05/02/2015 10:35

Santa having seen you looking so fabulous in your jeans I am now obsessed :)
If I wasn't growing my hair (so have no need for a hairdresser's appointment) I'd be heading for London this instant :)

OneLittleLady · 05/02/2015 10:50

Can't believe anyone would wear that shirt or carry that bag, exceptionally poor taste I think

It's all about texture for me today, I'm wearing a textured navy wool skirt, black chiffon blouse and fine knit merino cardigan in black. Oh and my ever present in winter, black fleece lined tights, so warrrrrrrm

shopafrolic · 05/02/2015 11:01

"Riccardo Tisci appears to be planning ahead with Givenchy's 2014 pre-spring men's collection, titled Favela 74. As the loaded name suggests, the collection is a concrete jumble of contrasting bold prints and vivid colors, as well as tropical and urban influences, recalling the designer's longstanding fascination with Latin America." Hmm

maradesbois · 05/02/2015 11:33

Morning,

Shockingly poor taste from Givenchy there.

I don't go for beefcakes either (which is a good job as don't have one at home).

QueenC Thanks to you and the family. That's rubbish about dh, work is stressful enough without all the politics that come with it.

Am really keen on the flares idea too. Now I have my Frames am sold on the idea of premium denim but want to lose another half stone before investing in more so hopefully by Springtime.

Dry you asked me a question about The Good Wife and I forgot to answer. Not sure where you're up to now but I've watched it from the start and series 6 has just begun. Still as good as ever. Alan Cumming is comedy gold. Alicia's work attire and polite but feisty attitude remind me of our own Novice!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 05/02/2015 11:34

What a twat, can't say I'm surprised, after all he hangs around with kanye west and Kim K

And what does perverts have to do with that anyway??

BrandyAlexander · 05/02/2015 12:46

blimey think I will be giving those a miss Shop. Shock

I want some of Mara and Lib's discipline. Envy maybe some of it will run off on me. It's only 4lbs that I want to shift but man they want to stay!

Santa did you say how tall you are? I don't think you are as tall as Shop and Marsha?

I am finally out of bed and in fact going into the office for a meeting. It's funny but the meeting is with 2 colleagues both more senior/ experienced than me. We are meeting to exchange views on the complex thing we are doing. Theres a lot at stake and i am the lead so i need to make final decisions tomorrow morning. I can see how my promotion of a few months ago has increased my confidence and my outfit. rather than trying to power dress, I have gone for a hobbs wool dress with damsel in a dress bolero style jacket, my LKB boots, beloved maxmara and ps13 handbag. smart but acknowledges that I have rolled out of bed for this meeting! Mara a few people have compared me to the lead in the good wife, I have only seen a couple of (v enjoyable epidodes) but her style is fab!

Karbea · 05/02/2015 13:34

Afternoon ladies,
What do you think of these jeans? Do you think they'd be a good alternative for my autumn colour pallet, rather than white?

QueenCardigan · 05/02/2015 13:36

Amazing comfort icecream.

Agree with blairs sentiments.
novice glad you feel better to go in.

LinusDKD · 05/02/2015 13:37

Wow, those Givenchy things (the only word for them really) are in very bad taste. I wonder what Z list celeb (apart from Kim and Kanye) we're going to see wearing this...

So last night I caved and ordered the MiH skinny Marrakesh flares that were on sale on Asos. I just hope I am not too small and pear shaped to wear then and I have been pinning some outfit ideas to get inspiration in how to wear them without looking like DM circa 1974. Wink

I think footwear will be the main problem as I don't wear heels on a day to day basis so I'll have to dig out my old wedge espadrilles (maybe too '70?) or invest in some wedge sandals.

QueenCardigan · 05/02/2015 13:38

They look good karbea. I think WIT had some cream ones on the other day from topshop although they may have been ripped/slashed. I've been so bored that I've resorted to looking at blogs. Forgotten how much I dislike most of them now.

LinusDKD · 05/02/2015 13:39

Poor you queenc! (((Hugs)))

DH says he feels worse today so he's going to the GP this afternoon.

novice make sure you go straight back to bed after your meeting!

LinusDKD · 05/02/2015 13:43

I like these wedge sandals but I think the colour is wrong for me.

libertychick · 05/02/2015 13:45

They look like a good autumn choice karbea.

Sounds like a lovely outfit novice. I have a v low key meeting this afternoon and I'm going to the cinema this evening straight from work. Outfit is black Levi curve straight leg jeans, black petty boots, oatmeal cos sweater with black elbow patches. Accessories are shop's Elizabeth Cole orange statement necklace and one's flying bird gold tone earrings Smile. Navy Le pilage bag, Boden navy parka, cream faux fur snood and cream wristwarmers (again via Shop).

Linus your card arrived today Flowers

shopafrolic · 05/02/2015 13:46

Karbea I had similar jeans when I thought I was an Autumn - worked well.
Sending get well vibes to every poorly Voguette and family.
Looking forward to hearing how you go with the Marrakesh flares Linus

shopafrolic · 05/02/2015 13:47

These jeans remind me of when I was 16 and used to distress my jeans with sandpaper and then handsew fabric behind the holes.

libertychick · 05/02/2015 13:51

Did DH stay at home queenc? His colleague sounds like an ass. Most people without DC etc are capable of empathising with people's home responsibilities.

libertychick · 05/02/2015 13:52

I remember doing that with jeans too shop
