Evening everyone nit sure where the weekend went but i have managed to have a big wardrobe/drawers sort out cleared out loads of crappy fitting stuff and watched quite a few episodes of the good wife (never seen it before but saw it mentioned on here and thought i would give it a go) going for an early night with some foot cream and cotton socks and sone lindt dark chocolate

QueenCardigan · 25/01/2015 21:06

If you're not in London though linus the shopping isn't that great. We have most shops here but what I love about London is that you can usually find another branch of a shop nearby if you want to try something in particular.

Glad it all went well shop.
Hope you get another hat stokey.

LinusDKD · 25/01/2015 21:25

True queenc but I still think shopping in any medium-sized town in the UK is better than shopping here. Wink

Topazandpearl · 25/01/2015 21:45

Hi everyone, hope/glad all the parties went well. No fashion news here, am gearing up for a bit of a spend at half-term, but not sure on what. Will keep reading here for inspiration.

BrandyAlexander · 25/01/2015 22:13

Hi! Absolutely exhausted but party was brilliant and dd is just so happy. I feel a tad emotional as she just loved it. Can't really describe it without outing myself but all the children's faces when they walked in and saw what we had lined up for them was magical, though most (especially my two!) were initially overwhelmed in their excitement. Happy days. Have seen Shops photos and mini Shop (who is gorgeous!) looks so happy.

OneLittleLady · 25/01/2015 22:15

sounds lovely for all little ones involved Shop and Novice

I'm so cold tonight, currently wearing my care bear onesie AND my chewbacca dressing gown, really hope i'm not coming down with another virus, I've been illness free for two weeks now which is a record through the winter for me!

planning on wearing my ripped jeans tomorrow with my comic book tights underneath them for warmth. Haven't decided what to wear on top yet though

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/01/2015 22:19

So glad the parties were a success! Shops photos are indeed lovely, it looks like so much fun.

Hello Topaz! It's hard at the moment isn't it, I can't wait for February when the shops will be full of lovely new things :)

santamarianovella · 25/01/2015 22:36

Answered linus Smile,

shop a belated happy birthday, to minishop, glad it all went well,

novice aww! That sounds amazing! Happy birthday to mininovicetoo!

All my years living in London, I've only been once to Westfield, and bluewater, I don't like big shopping malls,

,i didnt know how lucky i was till i moved away I'm really suffering! The funny thing is you can get pretty much everything, but you need to hunt it down including walkers crisps, for dh I can only find them in a couple of British speciality stores, and I bribe one of they guys working there to text me when they become available plus we live a bit far from the shopping area of the city, and by the time I find a parking spot and go to check whatever I want to check, the feeling of being late to pick the kids up keeps me from taking my time to enjoy shopping and I seriously lose interest. school finish early here.

I miss the feeling of just stepping out and everything you wish for is just steps away, I think I miss that part most than the actual shopping.

After snowing all day yesterday, it was raining here most of the day, we all started to get cabin fever, so we went to McDonald's Blush, it was so much fun, their concept of McDonald's differs from the uk, it was more like an upscale cafe. Very impressed,

Drywhiteplease · 25/01/2015 22:40

mara just started season 3 ! Bloody Netflix it's taking over. MUST get my life back, feel like I'm living in the court room! And love Lindt 90%, big cocoa hit. Yum

muddlingalongquitenicely · 26/01/2015 05:56

My sister got me lindt with lime zest in it as part of a christmas hamper and im hooked lol
My son said to subscribe to anerican netflix as you get more seasons svailable than the uk version.

MarshaBrady · 26/01/2015 09:55

Santa I've never been! But then I'm not keen on malls either.

Happy birthday to little Shop and Novice ds and dd.

QueenC I always like your pins of Kate Moss, do you think she's a winter? She looks good in black, oh and pale lemon, is that a winter colour.

MarshaBrady · 26/01/2015 09:57

Apart from looking good in pretty much anything, that is.

bettykt · 26/01/2015 10:16

Morning,

Happy birthday to MiniShop and MiniNovice glad the parties were a success yesterday.

Shop love the grey Pashli, great bag and perfect shade of grey Envy

Copied Blair and bought collar bib shirt it's fab I've been wearing it under my Tippis, the denim one looks great under the black one but will probably get the white one to wear under the grey one, I love it, no bulk from a shirt but the same effect, been wearing with skinnies and Pistols and have been loving this look, in fact I think the model is wearing the same colour Tippi as mine

That's all news from me, working loads at the moment so not posting much Sad but will pop on when I can.

Oh and btw re: One's question about who's style I'd like to borrow, can I sit on the fence and say The Santa's bag and sweater collection, Amber's shoe collection mixed with the rest of Linus's wardrobe topped off with Mara's Birkin and Novice's Maxmara coat Grin Basically I'm being a fashion thief and stealing all your good bits. Okay if I had to choose one then yes it would have to be The Santa I'd have a field day choosing which bag to wear and which deliciously soft cashmere jumper to put on my back. Envy

OneLittleLady · 26/01/2015 10:56

Sigh, I'm at the hospital waiting to have my head glued. Had a very silly accident going out for the bus this morning. I was trying to get out of the way of a big group of school children walking up to the local primary and fell backwards into the corner of the wall on the edge of my property. One of the mothers panicked when they saw me bleeding so called an ambulance, tbf, there was a lot of blood but even tiny cuts to the head bleed a lot. dr wanted a skull xray as it was quite a hard knock but nothing fractured, just the cut so waiting for a nurse to come and glue it together. silly of me, i know i can't go backwards but there was such a large group, i thought it'd be easier to let them pass first than to have them held up behind slow old me.

LinusDKD · 26/01/2015 12:52

Oh noone are you ok? Sad

MarshaBrady · 26/01/2015 13:02

Oh no One, that's awful, hope you're ok.

OneLittleLady · 26/01/2015 13:04

I'm okay thanks, just feeling a bit tender and very silly. I ought to know better than to try and step backwards, I know I can't do it. Very daft of me to even try. I hope I didn't upset or frighten the children though, some of them looked very small.

justasecond · 26/01/2015 14:08

Oh One you poor thing that sounds awful but glad no serious damage done Brew and Flowers

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 26/01/2015 14:15

One oh no! Hope you are ok and they patched you up nice and quickly. Look after yourself. Flowers

betty Grin tbh I don't wear my faux-shirt enough, it doesn't sit quite right and the "buttoned up under a jumper" look isn't quite me, it's a bit gamine I think. Am glad I only got a £10 one from River Island but it's still useful.

Just bought this summer cotton dress from Topshop - thinking way in advance but I'm sure it will sell out and I love it. Nothing worse than trying to buy cotton stuff for summer when it's June and the shops are full of poly crap for some reason.

OneLittleLady · 26/01/2015 14:24

I'm all patched up Blair just trying to resist the urge to poke at it! it's like having toothache when you can't resist poking at your tooth with your tongue

Loving the ripped jeans Igot. They are only primark jobbies but they are soft, stretchy and most importantly, high enough in the rise for me. I think i must have a long body compared to my legs as jeans are often far too low in the rise and deathly uncomfortable for me and don't look good. It takes a lot of searching around for me to find ones with a high enough rise on them.

muddlingalongquitenicely · 26/01/2015 16:13

Finally got through to HoC consultant cant get an appointment until 30th March which I have booked originally she offered me April 11th but i said i was going to london and wanted it done before.
