Karbea not boring at all....this is MNV VOgue, soz MarshaGrin the place to go on and on about fashion. I've bored everyone many times with my obsessive search for particular items.

On that subject I popped into Zara yesterday and may have found exactly the black, oversized sweater I've been looking for. Will try to link. Cotton/nylon mix sadly, exactly the style I want though....and £9.99 Shock

One as someone who lives with a chronic insomniac and can see the devastating effects of lack of sleep, I think you're very wise to seek help before it gets out of hand.

QueenC just looked at A Chung in Style. She's a bit annoying because she looks so darn good in everything Angry
Interesting article about hair dysmorphia (sp)

Dry I do have insomnia but mine comes and goes, I usually get it for anything between a week to a few months and then it passes, I sleep okay and then it comes back but this time it doesn't seem to be going away so you are definitely right, I must seek help with it before it gets any worse

QueenCardigan · 25/01/2015 13:21

karbea you can never get boring on here. We love clothes and chat!

I've just read the hair article dry. My hairs looking awful right now-it's 8 weeks since it was cut but I'm leaving it till next week as I want to grow it a bit. It desperately needs shaping though and dare I say it, looks really frumpy!

MarshaBrady · 25/01/2015 13:23

Grin Dry

I'm just starting to read Style. It's very denim heavy isn't it. She has some good PR there.

Karbea I never tire of style chat, the more the better.

OneLittleLady · 25/01/2015 13:29

Dry try the zara sweater, it might be agood comprimise until you can find a better fabric mix

Drywhiteplease · 25/01/2015 13:36

I fancy a denim skirt but I'm specific SURPRISE!! about the style/colour. Dark wash, box pleat at front, just above knee.

QueenC I'm in the same situation hair wise. App next Fri can't come soon enough. Wanted my bob more shoulder length but it's hard to style and I've got a few crazy grey hairs coming.....all need sorting, and I think I need to change hair dresser I'm a terrible customer, have to change every few years

And I had a look at the frumpy thread. What bugs me about MN s and B is how damning people can be about certain items and then how much to heart other take it once something has been deemed "frumpy"....Novice summed it up very well.

Also fancying a pair of white sneakers for spring, saw pair by Vagabond in last weekend supplement and anothe by I Marant that look lovely.

See what's happening? Grin "I don't really need anything this season" ......but I fancy quite a bit Grin

queen, dry my hair needs a cut too, not been cut since July as they cut some layers too short then. I love the colour now and will get it cut in seven weeks time.

Stokey · 25/01/2015 14:48

It was my damson one QueenC - cursed like Amber says. Still I have to take DD1 to the new Moorfields clinic on Tuesday which just happens to be next to Westfield, so am hoping I can get another.

Quite agree about the frumpy thread Dry - I also dislike the "mum" boots one. Surely the word "mum" shouldn't be used as an insult. It's like that ad about throwing "like a girl".

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/01/2015 15:59

I want to know what boots aren't mum boots on MN... seeing as everyone says Pistols are!

OneLittleLady · 25/01/2015 16:06

i think theres a bit of an obssession about mumboots on here.boots are boots, not everyone will like what you choose,i dont see why people get so worked up about it.thats not aimed at anyone in particular btw just a general observation

Fedupnagging · 25/01/2015 16:52

Well said Stokey. And yes, Novice summed it up completely - so I didn't comment.

Have just spent the afternoon watching ds play football so am now
trying to thaw out. I wore so many layers I looked like a little barrel with a pair of eyes!

Queen my hair is so frizzy at the moment - this weather is not great for wavy hair. My skin is so pale too, people keep asking me if I am unwell.

MarshaBrady · 25/01/2015 17:44

Dammit Hush pjs are even cheaper, stop me ordering more.

Great price jumper if you can do burgundy

MarshaBrady · 25/01/2015 17:47

Oh and this arrived summer skirt. Very see through, as in completely. But very pretty, so I'm going to try with something underneath.

Didn't know they delivered on a Sunday, I just looked and thought what is that for a few minutes.

Drywhiteplease · 25/01/2015 17:52

You could wear a slip Marsha...my DM would be so proudGrin

Amber did you go back to that pub? where you lost your other things? Btw were your ear burning last night, I told my friends that I knew someone who was doing "not dry Jan" and drinking every night , we toasted you Grin

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 25/01/2015 18:06

Will definitely need one! It is nice to try something new and different for me. Just have to make sure I wear it.

Stokey · 25/01/2015 18:17

I tried that jumper Marsha, the quality wasn't great. It was already bobbly when it arrived.
Yeah I'm annoyed about the PJs too, must remember to hold my nerve next year!

MarshaBrady · 25/01/2015 18:18

True, just looked at the reviews, not great. So true about holding the nerve!

Karbea · 25/01/2015 18:29

I'm going to order some pjs... What is their sizing like?

Stokey · 25/01/2015 18:37

They come up big Karbea. You should be fine in XS if you're petite (8-10).

Has anyone been to their sample sale? I'm wondering whether to go on Thursday.

Karbea · 25/01/2015 19:40

Ordered 2 pairs :)

LinusDKD · 25/01/2015 20:31

Evening!

Are shop and novice lying down with a Valium and a G&T after their parties? Wink

I have been wearing my Brunello Cucinelli jumper (bought at a big discount) all day and I have to say, again, that it is soooo cozy to wear.

Stokey you mentioning Westfield reminds me of a convo I had with DH yesterday. I was moaning about the lack of decent shopping centers around here and shopping opportunities in general.

No wonder I do so much internet shopping. ;-)

Karbea · 25/01/2015 20:33

I used to live east of London and had bluewater, lakeside, westfield Stratford (although it was a building site when I moved) and the west end by tube all very close. Now I've westfield city and the west end by train (albeit a very short train journey).

LinusDKD · 25/01/2015 20:53

Now I'm really Envy karbea!

Westfield only opened a few weeks before we moved abroad and I only went to Bluewater once when I lived in London but I have been since and I just love the choice these places offer.

Even when I worked in Canary Wharf, I used to love the shopping center there. Thank God I didn't have any children then because I spent all my wages during my lunchbreak. ;-)

shopafrolic · 25/01/2015 20:53

Waving to all - very successful party. Very tired Shop. Very happy miniShop. Back tomorrow xx

LinusDKD · 25/01/2015 21:01
