amber as a regular runner, I really advise not running on an injury. You can cross train to keep fitness up, but tring to run on an injured foot will be counterproductive.

OneLittleLady · 06/11/2014 10:27

i second ambers suggestion of collections prohibition and also recommend the kate moss rimmel lipsticks.bodyshop also have some nice reds and estee lauder has some great ones too.i think the el one i have is called envious or envy.

shopafrolic · 06/11/2014 10:39

Thanks guys - will take a look at Prohibition, and Mom if you get a chance to dig out the Nars pencil at some point I'd love the name of it (I have some in Autumn colours and loved the consistency).

libertychick · 06/11/2014 11:00

Forgot to say, when I saw the personal shopper person in John Lewis the other day she said she thought I was an Autumn - I've blanked out the information - can't face the consequences Smile. She based this on me having green/brown eyes though. I will do the HoC thing I think in the New Year.

Got it - it is called Cruella

MarshaBrady · 06/11/2014 11:02

I am wearing the Lanvin boots today, rejoicing at not just putting on the pistols like I do every day. Helped by the fact that a long run yesterday is making the pistol heel height uncomfortable.

What's everyone wearing on this glorious sunny day?

libertychick · 06/11/2014 11:09

I'm wearing Me&Em ruched navy skirt, long sleeve M&S white scoop neck t and boyfriend style dark grey cardigan. Black opaques and slippers!! Will add Petty boots and navy Boden parka when I do the nursery run. maybe a scarf...

shopafrolic · 06/11/2014 11:35

Lib if you are then I have a whole wardrobe going cheap! Grin
Thanks Mom :)

shopafrolic · 06/11/2014 11:37

I'm wearing Pistols Marsha (best buy of the year for me), with Jimmies (again), black merino sweater and grey faux fur gilet. So cold it's ridiculous here. Off to meet DS' teacher for a parent's evening (10 mins at lunchtime). Have bright fuchsia lipstick on - too much?

libertychick · 06/11/2014 11:44

Thanks Shop Smile
I really don't think I am Autumn. I remember Amber saying that she most clearly 'saw' the colours things when she was draped in cream/brown and then white/navy. I definitely look better in white/navy. I tend to assume I am a winter - if anything I might be a summer as black/white sometimes does seem too harsh and grey/chalk white seems better. I like cream but to wear it I need extra make up!

Just need a mini WIT rant.

  1. Last 2 days, topshop topshop topshop, no disclosure, suspicious.
  1. Sooo many typos/mistakes in her magazine (even on the cover!) - lazy. I am not a fashion editor and even I know that MiH Jeans was not established in 2006 - Chloe Lonsdale resurrected her father's jeans business from the 70s.
  1. Noticed on the last few posts she's been getting loads of "fails" in the tick boxes - esp on the personalised jewellery and the £500 "accidentally ordered" dress (which my-wardrobe prob gave her).

Thank you.

AmberNectarine · 06/11/2014 13:33

I am wearing burgundy Rockstud flats, HL plum leather front leggings, red Uniqlo plaid shirt, grey Warehouse faux fur coat and Gucci disco. Plummy YSL lip gloss (never wear gloss, feels weird). And dark green geeky glasses. Lots of trends going on but sod it.

AmberNectarine · 06/11/2014 13:34

lib that's right - I looked totally jaundiced and ill in those colours. My consultant said if you ever want to pull a sickie from work just wear brown and cream. Until then I had always thought brown suited me!

OneLittleLady · 06/11/2014 14:04

amber i keep being told that brown makes me look old, dowdy, frumpy and ill. I too thought brown suited me and wore loads of it but no more, I got rid of all my brown stuff to my Dsis who looks cracking in brown the bitch

Stokey · 06/11/2014 14:14

I always thought I looked OK in chocolate brown too until HoC. I've got hazel eyes too Liberty but am a winter.

I like Chanel rouge allure number 14 Shop. It's got a bit of a sheen in it so is a good antidote to Ruby Woo. I tend to out vaseline on my lips before applying Ruby Woo and do it with a brush whcih helps a bit.

I'm wearing a denim mini, red Primarni scoop (£3.50 and pretty good quality, I'm impressed), light grey cashmere boyfriend cardie, grey ribbed tights & Puma high tops (oh and a blue bobble hat as it is arctic).

santamarianovella · 06/11/2014 14:24

I don't know!blair I haven't checked her blog in a while, I stopped after I moved, don't miss it actually,

liberty I love that quote,

marsha we are boots twins Wink im wearing my new black lanvins , R&b skinnies, chloe wool jacket and black vuitton scarf,

I did read an article about the wang thing for HM ,they had a party in another city, it looks like something the kardashians would wear, cropped and body con,no idea if they were sold here this morning, its something not a lot of people here would normally wear, it's mostly high end /classic/ luxe or normcore, or hipsters in here

I wanted to get these chloe flats while the code is still valid, but I don't know, something is bugging me,I like them but its not love . So I will pass,

maradesbois · 06/11/2014 14:34

Hello, still need to catch up with old thread and check out QueenC's board.

Great opener Lib.

Not a glorious day here Marsha am afraid. Am wearing old A&W burgundy & navy washed-out check mini with raspberry Marni cardigan and navy tights with black pistols. Coat was loose fitting dark blue Marni which has some angora in it, 3/4 length sleeves so needs a sweater under. Felt good despite the rain and wind.

Not checking out H&M, don't like these collaborations. Btw there was T by AW new in on Outnet today.

Blair haha at your rant! Will take a look.

foxysocks · 06/11/2014 15:43

it's cold here, but dry. am wearing dark grey j brands, black R&B tee, cobalt cashmere jumper. golden goose high tops, zadig faux fur and grey balenciaga when I was out shopping earlier.

found nada in shops, annoying as it's my birthday soon! checked out tk maxx for second time in a week just in case was any HL but no. I want to wear them on date night next week!

shop have you decided whether keeping yours?

santa is there an NaP code?!?!?!? that would mean I could get the leggings!

foxysocks · 06/11/2014 15:45

not bothered about H&M either. the leggings look ok for yoga but not worth a scrum

looked at cashmere in JL and wan't impressed. where do you all rate for cashmere? have been very happy with I&I from outnet but only paid sub £50 in the mega clearance, I don't want to pay £100+ they are currently. recs appreciated!

MarshaBrady · 06/11/2014 16:14

A quickie, has anyone ordered from FarFetch?

Was it ok?

libertychick · 06/11/2014 16:19

Foxy I have looked in a couple of TK maxx this week but haven't seen the leggings again unfortunately. I imagine they go pretty fast. On cashmere I don't have vast experience - I have a cashmere cardi from M&S that has held up well but I haven't been impressed with the fit of their sweaters this year.

I think the tab pull on those flats looks a bit unnecessary Santa. I like the studs though.

Funny WIT rant Blair. I haven't read her in a while - that said I'm not looking at blogs much at all these days.

H&M Wang definitely would not be me - I don't even have to look to know this Smile

OP posts:
libertychick · 06/11/2014 16:19

I have never used them marsha

OP posts:
foxysocks · 06/11/2014 16:25

agh thanks for looking lib. I don't think my chances of getting current season stock at TKM are high!

no experience sorry marsha, have looked at them a few times but never ordered.

I sometimes like WIT but usually the smug level is off the radar

libertychick · 06/11/2014 16:41

Blair the skirt arrived today - not a keeper. Flares out too much just under the waistband and made me look enormous. Thanks again though - was worth a try.

One in the same Asos order I tried the New Look faux fur jacket, it did'nt work on me either. Think I am better with either short jackets or very long rather then hip length.

OP posts:
BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 06/11/2014 16:47

Ah lib that's a shame. Do you have a small waist compared to your hips? I bought this Topshop skirt a few weeks back and it made me look absolutely massive of bum. Not like Belinda, who is v slim!

Anyway, more reason to keep the Ted dress? Wink
