Am wearing my skirt Mara with Whistles suede pointy hight heels and Mango burgundy shell top tucked in breathing in with loads of gold jewellery . Love it. Feels great.

I have had a lovely day, catching up with the DC. It is lovely to have them home and to hear all their doings.

Wow Marsha, I am so pleased for you that you got your coat. Any other would always have seemed second best once you had fallen in love with your one. It is gorgeous.

I have been lazing (and being spoiled ) in Paige skinnies, a cream Uniqlo silk shirt and my I&I blue cashmere sweater. I feel I need more sweaters and will either go for Uniqlo/M&S/John Lewis prices or hold out for reductions on Outnet etc.

DH is watching The Matrix. I remember when it first came out it was soo ahead of its time and visually unlike anything we'd seen before but it has dated quite a bit.

The Nokia cell phones they use look prehistoric, for example. Still a great film though.

Too much food. Too much wine. The weather meant I wore coated skinnies, uniqlo black polo neck, LKB shoe boots. Red lipstick, red AH Gracie, M&S black and whie check coat.

shop I have one, 2 if you count the one that broke a few weeks after dh got it for me, it's faster, good battery, the camera is good, but I personally still use the I phone 5 as it has my uk number,
As with all apple stuff, there is no holding back you have to get it eventually, that's why the brake easily so you get new one by the time of a new launch

Morning everyone! I survived my 5th successive day of work entertaining yesterday, hurrah! I was also pleased I had the common sense to wear my jack wolfskin jacket with hood rather than even pretending to be chic in the cold and wet! Under it I wore an orange Ralph Lauren cashmere jumper with j crew matchstick jeans tucked into my biker boots. I also wore a great beige suit jacket in the corporate entertaining suite. It's an ancient principles jacket but has become really handy, I almost got rid of it when the matching trousers went at the crotch, phew!

Shop, no I have the iPhone 5s (finger thingy technology).

I'm still on the Iphone5 shop. I have been thinking about upgrading but even then it's still £££ so as long as this one works I'll keep it.

Thanks all - off to get DH an iPhone 6 plus, and an iPhone 6 for me this morning! DH has decided he is fed up with squinting at the screen, so rather than getting his eyes retested he wants a bigger phone . Anyway, I won't complain.
We'll sell our 5s versions so that will cover the cost of my phone hopefully.
Nice night last night, roast dinner with the folks this evening and then I'm done

I feel so disgusting, I think I reached the point last night of sweating out the virus [boak] I've showered but still feel so grim but physically, I feel a lot better than I have done for the past week.

Thanks Mara. Not entirely restful! We have friends coming over for lunch but dh is cooking so I have been lounging about. For about 2 months I have had 7 projects/initiatives/events that I have been leading at work simultaneously (these are over and above my usual commitments). 4 of them have now finished this week so now I will be really busy instead of "so busy that I am really stressed and I can't breathe" kind of busy. So now I have the other 3 things to do and separately I will be in 4 cities over the next 3 weeks but at least it's not long haul. Small mercies and all that!

My birthday present from DH is this lovely bag. This will be my 'good' black bag (not to be taken to work and left on floors!)

Thanks Blair, I am loving having the DC home. They are both doing well in work/studies and, more importantly, are both happy in their lives and healthy. That is really all any of us want for our DC. I will be sad when they go back later today but they will be home again for Christmas.
