SOTD an unknown sample from my perfume drawer, woodsy and irisy, am baffled but enjoying it!

SOTD: Seville a l'Aube by L'Artisan, the same perfume I've been wearing most of the last month. I impulse-bought a FB in the sale and I must say, it's lovely but the lasting power isn't so impressive. I feel like sticking to one perfume at the moment, I think my nose was getting confused and jaded. I thought I'd be drawn to wintry scents like Cuir de Russie but oddly I prefer to be lifted a bit by orange blossom.

He saw the fear in my eyes when I opened the wrapping paper! I'm happy to encourage such extravagance in the future but will nudge him towards things I know I want.

Malle's Lipstick Rose today.I'm coming to the end of my 10 ml travel tube sadly.How come some favourites are used up so quickly?I bought Crabtree and Evelyn's Evelyn's Rose perfume recently.But the violet in this doesn't last long and its a pale imitation of Lipstick Rose.

Incidentally does anyone know how I can order a sample Tauer set without my tablet coming up with a dangerous website sign?

I'm not looking for anything in particular. I'm quite new to all this so don't really know just yet what I like. I think I like woody, spicy and orientals. Love discovering new vanillas, and have been surprised by how much I love a rose if it's done in a dirty deep way. I also really appreciate perfumes with staying power that change and develop. That all sounds like a bit of a novice's ramble!

Sotd is again Lipstick Rose.I'm happy because I managed to buy a 100 mls bottle of Penhaligon Violetta today in Tk Maxx.I also bought Rose and Violet essential oils to mix with a carrier oil.I love using Rose face oil at night but the one I use is expensive hence I will try making my own.

Made it back again.. I'm skint so it's been quiet on the perfume front. Keep plowing through my stuff, mainly the bottles easily accessed at the front of the cupboard . The ones I've mainly used are Nina Ricci Les Belles Almond Amour, Organza Indecense (one of my all time favourites), and DH's CK One (because it's on display in the bathroom, so is easy to grab when in a hurry).

Oooo I've just discovered Malles portrait of a lady and it's my all time favourite ! Not very ladylike though ! A rose with patchouli , it's sooo complex , I can't stop sniffing my wrist !
Unfortunately I have expensive taste and a paupers budget !! Love the perfume court for decants and dream of the day I can afford full size bottles !

SOTD 4160 Tuesday's what I did on my holidays - I'm headed home from a lovely weekend away

SOTD: Mon Jasmin Noir on right wrist and the Exquise version on the left, courtesy of in-store samplers. The right wrist has faded very quickly but is less brash. Not a rival for the almost disappeared Eau de The Verte!

SOTD-Seville a l'Aube by L'Artisan. Has been since I bought it really is the best ever blind buy. Now obviously I want to try more of the brand.

I also got a DF bargain Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil which I have had lots of compliments for. More of a summery scent but good for work.

I have a 2ml spray sample of Papillion Angelique if anybody would like to try it, All I get is rooty, powdery orris, it is not my cup of tea.

Also have a full 30ml bottle of Invisible Ben by 4160 Tuesdays free to a good home-bought on impulse and cant get on with it.

What's invisible ben like?

SOTD L'Eau D'Hiver- Malle. The mimosa is flowering in the conservatory, and this has the same crisp powdery sweetness. Might wear Mimosa pour moi tomorrow.
