Florentine Freesia today by Crabtree and Evelyn. This has a beautiful milky, sappy, fresh new baby smell and is just delicious.Seems very fleeting though and after a short while becomes a Freesia scented clean white musk skin scent.
TheCat I can send you the sample if you like.
Gosh I share your horror Toomuchtea. Why would anyone remove a beautiful huge Climbing Rose.I treasure mine and have planted several new ones.

Ninfea today by Profumum Roma.I love this Violet perfume. Its a tad more subtle than Lipstick Rose and has more pronounced Violet and Green notes.
Wore Battito d'ali, another Profumum Roma perfume in bed last night -resultant Orange blossom scented pastry heaven. It was cold and snowy and I needed a scent that was rich and warm.I find this perfume delicious without being overly sweet. The bitterness of the Myrrh seems to balance out the sugary aspects.
What are HT's Too much tea?

Apatite1 · 29/01/2015 10:51

Doesn't sound like it worked spam!

Am wafting about in MFK APOM today. A birthday present from last year.

Fantin Latour is a lovely rose toomuchtea. Once upon a time I had Madame Isaac Pereire, which is a bourbon rose - carmine, with the most wonderful and heady rose scent ever. It doesn't make a very nice bush, and only flowers once, but, oh my, the colour and the scent! Once I move to a house we'll stay in for more than a couple of years I will get another one. Plus a Francis E Lester, which is a wonderfully-scented climber

SOTD is Heeley Vetiver Veritas, which I like very much. Deeper and richer than Guerlain Vetiver, though it doesn't last all that long, about four hours. Apparently it is all natural ingredients.

Chicinwellies · 29/01/2015 16:15

My SOTD is Jimmy Choo Blossom ! I love this, will be fab for the spring.

cressetmama · 29/01/2015 17:04

Scent of the morning was Eau de The Vert, because it's well-mannered and subtle enough not to over-power the dentist! This afternoon (post workout and shower) is Sel de Vetiver, which I love even more it's little more restrained than Eau des Merveilles. Sadly I only have a Nose sample, and am nearly at the end.

I love roses but they don't like our very acid soil and salty winds.

OneLittleLady · 29/01/2015 17:15

SOTD is Fancy Nights. Only a single spray though, anything else is too overpowering. So much patchouli in this, it's strong and musky, i'm really impressed by it, it's not what i expected of a cleb scent as they are usually insipid fruity floral concoctions. this is really quite a big hitter and cheap as chips as well. very happy with it and i'd not even be ashamed to admit what it is if asked either as it's so nice and impressive for what it is

goodasitgets · 29/01/2015 19:50

SOTD is actually a special one Grin
My friend has a bath and body website and very kindly made me a (ahem) dupe of laura mercier almond and coconut. Really nice

TweenageAngst · 30/01/2015 15:00

Bargain of the day- Seville a l'Aube from L'Artisan Parfumeur 100ml bottle in TKMaxx for £20:00. I bought it blind because I love bitter orange. It is a lovely summery smell, perfect to uplift on a gray London day with, sweet orange blossom cut with green, waxy honey and lavender, drying down to a vanilla. Best Blind buy ever

goodasitgets · 30/01/2015 21:02

That sounds lovely!
I bought lazy Sunday morning blind after just reading a fluffy description of it Grin and it's the nicest perfume I've ever had

I've have a long quiet period wearing either just Guerlain's Vega or nothing. Opened my perfume drawers thinking that I should organize them to make picking the right perfume easier and more automatic (seem to have misplaced a lot of my samples and minis) and sprayed some Vanille & Narcisse on my wrist. Sweet and dense like Sicilian pastry, very satisfying on a chilly day.

FrugalFashionista · 31/01/2015 12:33

And some absolutely fantastic perfume picks on this thread - ladies you are true connoisseurs! Particularly loving the bargainous Seville l'Aube. I love beeswax and orange blossom.

I think my nose has been a bit tired and a series of head colds hasn't helped. But love the transformative feel of a great 'fume. I mean, I am decluttering the house and preparing for a party but feeling like an extra from one thousand and one nights...

goodasitgets · 31/01/2015 14:54

Juliette has a gun (various ones) in t k maxx. Tell me not to buy mad Madame without even sniffing it Grin

shins · 31/01/2015 15:39

Tweenageangst that's great value for Seville a l'Aube- I got a full bottle in the L'Artisan sale at Christmas and it's lovely. I read that book by the incredibly annoying woman behind it but I still loved it! Usually don't like orange blossom much but it's the resinous incensy notes that make it special for me.

goodasitgets the Juliette Has A Gun perfumes are pretty powerful stuff - wouldn't blind buy any of them..

Toomuchtea ha, sitting in a Haribo! I find TdB pretty sweet as well, there's a sharp aniseed quality to it too. Odd name, as it doesn't make me think of Istanbul at all.

*Frugalfashionista" I go through quiet phases with perfume too, it's probably necessary to rest your senses or you get overwhelmed I think.

SOTD - not sure. I'm having a sort of manky lazy Saturday messing around on the internet in my PJs while the kids play Minecraft. We're going out for the day tomorrow and it's freezing so that's my excuse, along with housework..I think I'll spray some Seville a l'Aube to bring some sunshine into this January chill.

goodasitgets · 31/01/2015 15:41

My mum wears one, not a perfume or something? Weirdly it's the only perfume my dad hates on her Grin

shins · 31/01/2015 15:56

Well I don't like any of them (got the sample set) - to me they smell trashy but it's all subjective - I usually like vulgar monsters but for some reason not these ones!

goodasitgets · 31/01/2015 15:58

It's so personal. I know any combo of jasmine and ylang ylang instantly turns into "wee soaked toilet" on me Smile

canny1234 · 31/01/2015 16:40

I am so excited.I finally posess a bottle of Penhaligons Violetta.I bought it from Tk Maxx along with a bottle of Elixir ( which I may well return having read up on the notes).I love all of it - the Geranium top note, the Parma violet note and then soft green woody violets - its just so pretty.
And to cap it all dd2 has just won a school scholarshipGrin.
I also go through periods of not wanting change Frugal.Other things take over from perfume at times. But a lovely scent always cheers me up.
