Ooh Blair fab shoes! amazing colour.

Congrats Mara on new baby news! how lovely.

Shop you poor thing Sad, hope the ab's work quickly. Thank you for the plug on FB today Flowers

Pretty sure I can do 22nd Nov Smile

Fedupnagging · 12/09/2014 22:24

Oh, it's now 22nd. Can't do that either Sad one of the ds's has a big birthday and we have a houseful of relatives staying so I'd better stay home.

SoYo welcome back. Sounds like you have had a few nice days in Norfolk although sorry things are a bit stressy for you. Homemade apple cake, yum!

Blair love those shoes! How are the wedding plans coming along?

Mara a new baby in the family is so lovely. Liked the gold bag you decided upon.

Dry great news that your building work is nearly finished. It's been a long haul for you! Lucky builders getting lunch.

Shop hope the antib's do their job. Take it easy this weekend. Hang in there with ds, he will get used to the pre school routine eventually.

Welcome to Fab and brilliant leather jacket buy. Oh and Lib too for that matter with the coatigan.

Queen you linked a couple of tops, both of which I really like and can see you wearing them.

I am bound to have missed someone out from my roundup so apologies.

justasecond · 12/09/2014 22:40

Hello and welcome Fabyour jacket sounds like a good find.
shop poor you, its horrible being on ABs don't forget to take some acidophillus (sp?)
Mara Grin actually, not sure where you live but you are welcome to borrow my bag for your do. Pm me if you like?
Blair those shoes are tdf. I agree with queen the dress will look much better on you with those shoes than the black boots worn by Frieda Pinto. They look way to heavy for the style of dress.
Dry love your list all great pieces. I am (slowly) getting better too re cpw. My ultimate goal is to be like Marsha Grin
Queen those are lovely tops.
I would love to come to the MU. I can do the 22nd but not 29th. I'm afraid daytime only for me though.
My uniqlo shirt arrived and it is lovely better than the pic in fact
www.uniqlo.com/uk/store/goods/134493 can't wait to her it.

justasecond · 12/09/2014 22:40

wear it.

OneLittleLady · 12/09/2014 23:27

Lovely shirt justa i've been considering that one myself but can't decide how it will fit on me

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/09/2014 23:55

Well hello ladies - it's been a while.

Having a very busy, but not good, season and been rather disinclined to join in the jollity of MNV, but thought I'd drop by to say hello and let you know I still think of y'all (often).

Like the shirt, justa, especially as I ordered it earlier this evening along with a black fine merino crew neck. Wink Have you looked at the Ines de la Fressange collection at Uniqlo? Some very nice pieces.

QueenCardigan · 13/09/2014 07:24

Hey grumpy good to see you. Hope you're ok x
blair they look fab!
soy thanks for the recipe. I will definitely be baking it.

I feel like I've bought my AW wardrobe already (boots, cardigans and long sleeved tops) but I still do have a slight wish list...
Heeled navy boots or shoe boots for night out
Navy or grey coat for smarter days/nights out
Flat black shoes as my years old cheapie ballet flats are dying and starting to hurt me
Grey patterned blouse for daytime
Going out top

Feeling slightly delicate after half a bottle of wine and 2 large baileys and I'm shout to brave ikea later....

MarshaBrady · 13/09/2014 07:33

Hi Grumpy! great to see you.

22nd is looking good, hopefully Novice can make it.

MU It was an evening thing I believe. But who can only do daytime? Or nighttime only? Be great to include everyone if possible.

AW I'd really like
new boots
Warm jacket
Skinnies

I actually have enough jumpers (so far)

Drywhiteplease · 13/09/2014 07:57

Streaming cold......at the teary, sneezing stage.....love Lemsip so will dose up today.odd woman
Grumpy I've been thinking about you a lot and hoping you'd not gone forever, love your elegant style Smile

A/W purchases so far, only 2 items Shock and 6 leather skirts, majority returned
this dress thanks Linus
these boots
I tried them together last night, would you? Will I look like mutton? I rather liked it.

Fedupnagging · 13/09/2014 08:20

Morning all and welcome back Grumpy.

Dry am liking the pettys so may need to add to my wish list. If they look good with the dress then go for it. (Although get where you are coming from with the mutton thing!)

This bag has arrived and will definitely keep as it will go with anything. It's definitely more navy than black.

Not sure about this jumper. I sized up and it's huge but the colour is good on me (pink). I think I will return for a smaller size and then decide.

Oh, and I went back and ordered a wrap bracelet in leopard print but it's not arrived yet.

Need to get out of bed - dh and I are going away for the weekend - and pack.

Drywhiteplease · 13/09/2014 08:53

damn Pink rubbing my nose in it fab leather skirt Sad beautiful leopard print clutch Envy not keen on double leather look, but two items that have been on my wish list for AGES bitch not to mention willowy long legs, even in the snow, swishy hair etc, hate her Grin

OneLittleLady · 13/09/2014 08:54

morning all

lovely to hear from you Grumpy

Dry hope you're feeling better soon Thanks

I'm going to visit Dp next week, for the weekend, need to work out what will fit in my rucksack!

Drywhiteplease · 13/09/2014 08:57

But, hold on Pink you've given me an idea... Maybe zips aren't such a bad idea......Hmm

OneLittleLady · 13/09/2014 09:05

It's nice Dry but it looks a bit...shiny. That could be the studio lighting though, I think you need to see it IRL

Sleepwhenidie · 13/09/2014 09:24

I like that skirt Dry, subject to shininess level as One says. Can't imagine you in the striped dress though, risk of drowning you? Would have to see it on Smile.

I am feeling very smug today, after reading a magazine article on sweater dresses I recovered a beautiful charcoal grey cashmere sweater dress by Zadig out of the EBay bag (it's been there 2 years but I just couldn't bring myself to do it) along with a maxmara longline cashmere cardigan, like this (same story) but thicker ply. Feels like free new clothes Grin

shopafrolic · 13/09/2014 09:31

Need to catch up later but I can only do evening for the next MU - thought we were doing cocktails and dresses?
Grumpy sorry to hear the season hasn't gone so well. Miss you and your fabulous style on here. Lovely to see you back.
Get well soon Dry

OneLittleLady · 13/09/2014 09:43

Yay for 'free' clothes sleep!

This is totally Vogue but, what do i wear for my first day?! I don't want to go overboard but I want to look good, which will hopefully keep me wanting to look good and not turning up in yesterdays clothes and unwashed hair!

Sleepwhenidie · 13/09/2014 09:51

Can you try and put together a capsule student wardrobe as you would if you were going to work One? What would your favourite cool student outfit be? Wear that!

OneLittleLady · 13/09/2014 09:58

Good idea Sleep I definitely want to include my green and black tartan blazer. I've not really had chance to wear it yet as it's been too warm for it but I think I could make that work with black or grey skinnies. It's got pleather trim underneath the collar so it has to be turned up for maximum effect Grin

Sleepwhenidie · 13/09/2014 10:01

Sounds fab Grin.

MarshaBrady · 13/09/2014 10:06

Yep evening do - fizz / cocktails dresses was the plan.

Let's stick with that, will be ace. Hope everyone can do evening?

OneLittleLady · 13/09/2014 10:10

I can do evening marsha and Dp has said he will come find me when I'm ready to leave to make sure I get back ok! BTW, the first bottle of prosecco is on me since I'm certain I didn't actually buy one at the MU i was at last Blush

AmberNectarine · 13/09/2014 11:07

Re. MU, I can do 22 but not 29

MarshaBrady · 13/09/2014 12:41

22nd sounding like a goer

Someone tipped me on invisible mending service in soho. £50 and four weeks Shock better be worth it! A small hole but new jumper, otherwise wouldn't bother.

On plus side short hop to Matches, will go there to recover.

QueenCardigan · 13/09/2014 13:00

Evening is good for me. I'm staying at chez liberty b&b
