Ok MU post

Let's see if we can get more people on the 22nd Nov as I know Mara can't do 29th and Blair I think

Who can do Saturday Nov 22
Marsha

Add your names here! Then let's decide.

MarshaBrady · 12/09/2014 17:44

Liberty, Dry so pleased the pettys are good, haven't worn mine yet as still so warm.

Shop yach poor you, hope you feel better soon.

Mara that cake is amazing.

Oven is cooking up a storm, although the heat after turning off surprised me, I could open the door on the old one straight away, or even mid cooking. This is hot hot. Is that the same for others?

maradesbois · 12/09/2014 17:52

Hello Fab & welcome. Your jacket sounds like a great find.

Marsha yes! to 22/11

Mara

Re oven my fan oven kind of blows out heat like a mini backdraft when I first open the door so need to step back for a second if that's what you mean? Have never really given it any thought but now you mention it I do shout at the dc 'get right back, I'm going to open the oven' even if they're not that near!

Dry glad the Pettys are good for you. Bet the builders are gutted to be finishing your job, not sure they get a home cooked lunch by many of their customers.

maradesbois · 12/09/2014 18:02

Also Envy for justa getting my bag. Grin. Actually the gold one turned up today and I love it.

Shop take care, put your feet up and relax this weekend.

One my sister made a cake with olive oil instead of butter, I thought it sounded awful but was yum. I also once made one with polenta instead of flour which was good too.

QueenC part time work sounds interesting, even if pay not great you should get a staff discount...

shopafrolic · 12/09/2014 18:06

Welcome Fab - sounds bargainous, any pics / links? Love a link I do :)
Marsha mine is always hot but it's an AGA waits for flaming
YY to the 22nd - easier for me than the 29th actually as he is shooting more locally that day. This is an evening dress up right?
Thanks for all the well wishes (and alcohol advice!) You lot are ace.

Evening!

Welcome fab!

How are you feeling shop? Hope you feel better soon.

mara congratulations on becoming an auntie again!

Such a shame I won't be able to make the next MU, it would be lovely seeing everyone in winter gear.

I caved and wore my new Whistles ankle boots to pick up the DC from nursery even though it was 28 degrees Can't wait for winter.

amber seems that WIT also bought a pair of rockstuds, they look very similar to your pair but I'm not sure if they are.

QueenCardigan · 12/09/2014 18:55

Is it evening or daytime?

SoyYo · 12/09/2014 18:57

good evening everyone, thanks for the comments and hellos and welcome backs. And hello to fab too!
Blair that dress with those shoes: perfect
shop hope those antibiotics kick in pronto and you are start feeling better
Mara I am not a baker, but have so many bramley apples in the garden that looked up recipes as DH and DC sick of apple crumble, and found one with a cake mix that had lots of yoghurt in it, then you chuck in as much apple as you can manage in a loaf tin with the mix and it was really yum! So i could see oil working in a similar way to make it very moist and light.

I forgot to tell you on one of my August Norfolk breaks I went into Norwich, which is a lovely lovely city, compact and parts of it have intact medioeval lanes/houses. Anyway I found a little shop selling Italian clothes and bought a lace shirt (I dont do a lot of lace usually) I will see if I can find a pic of it somewhere in google and post.

Keep the links and fabulousness coming!!!

And wishing you all a lovely stress free weekend x

soy that recipe for yogurt/apple cake sounds great. Where did you find it. So it online? I also have huge amounts of apples.

SoyYo · 12/09/2014 20:07

Here is is Queen C Simple Apple Cake
So easy peasy even I managed it, I really crammed it full of sliced bramley apples, and it was Yummy. Will do more this weekend, my apple tree is 100 years old and it is laden with apples!!!!

shopafrolic · 12/09/2014 20:22

SoYo that's my DH's home town. Smile

SoyYo · 12/09/2014 20:39

Shop I remember now yes! Lovely, lovely Norwich, had such a nice day wondering round the Lanes. The shop I bought the lace shirt from is in the Royal Arcade, a little boutique just selling these "and" label Italian clothes I had never heard of (and cannot find online) the owner was soo lovely, and her twin sister runs the organic veg/produce/local beer shop in Cromer where we have our flat so I knew her sis!
Small world!

SoyYo · 12/09/2014 20:46

She has a twin shop in Holt, so worth looking at next time you go to DH's hometown or are in the north norfolk coast Smile
There are so many independent little shops thriving in Norwich, I guess it's because it's a little isolated from everywhere else. I love it!

Welcome to fab! (Great name) I am jealous of people who can find nice things in charity/secondhand shops.

Shoes are amazing, such beautiful quality and pretty comfy too! I can't practice walking in them in the house though as I have wooden floors :(

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/09/2014 21:30

Please excuse the post-holiday pedicure and weird bending over angle! and glow in the dark legs

Hang on...is MU a daytime or eve do? Incredibly now I'm in London 28/29 Nov and could have snuck out Sat night. Might be able to do 22...... Details please.
Welcome Fab and to all lurkers, come on, say hello,we are nice Smile

Just to say, my resolution to buy only "considered purchases" is kind of going fairly well although wardrobe is still bursting . Anyway thanks to MNV over the last year I have some amazing items with v good CPW;

Gucci Disco in black...getting a lot of wear
Smythson Nancy, less wear but love it
Massimo Dutti camel coat from last a/w ...can't wait to wear it again, brilliant coat
Paige Jimmies.....unbelievable CPW , would love another pair if anyone sees them on offer
2 pairs of Gigis, best ever flat sandal...fab CPW
Black leather Pettys...I think CPW by the spring will be in negative numbers

Florettes, need to buy.

Actually, looking at my list it's all basics in classic colours....

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/09/2014 21:55

Love the list Dry. Shoes, bags, coats and jeans - you're sorted when you've got the perfect ones :)

I think my AW wishlist is going to be all accessories:
Cashmere scarf
Belts
Good tights/stockings
Underwear
Some jewellery
And makeup.

Fedupnagging · 12/09/2014 21:56
