There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

The feedback on that EBay site says it is the Zara scarf and all seems positive so I've ordered it. Had to risk it. If it's lousy I'll flog it on EBay again (or they accept returns). Thanks Blair v excited (shame it won't arrive until Sept 10th)

Welcome back dry hope you had a fabulous time

shop I am up for a christmas night so long as I'm able to get mocktails, I just don't think it will fit the vibe if I have a pint glass of lemonade Wink since I have somewhere to stay now, I can do most weekends in the run up to christmas depending on when dp is back for the holidays

Ha ha shop. Is DH asleep now then?!
Christmas night out is a great idea.

libertychick · 24/08/2014 21:21

Marsha you would have to wear the Lanvin dress. I'd love to see it.

Report
MarshaBrady · 24/08/2014 21:23

Liberty I would love to wear it, it's been too long! I get the guilts after a while.

How's your dh?

All over an Xmas MU

He's good thanks Marsha. Bit sore but feeling much better today. He'll be on crutches for about 2 weeks we think. About 6 months before he'll be back to full fitness.

Yay shop! I'm sure it will be fine re: customer service, just hope the scarf is a proper replica.

YES I am more than up for a Xmas Vogue cocktail party (any excuse to wear the Zarita!)

Thanks for all the nice shoeboot comments. novice I went for suede as I thought it would look nicer with tights. liberty those knee highs are really nice and probably more classic than the 5050s (just because over the knees aren't always "in").

Dry welcome back!

Blair I bet you look incredible in the zarita. Which colour do you have?

Liberty that's a while, poor thing.

Amber do it!

He will be doing most things in 3 months Marsha. 6 months to get back to playing squash. But as squash caused a broken Achilles a few years ago and this time a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament I am of the view that I should get him a nice set of golf clubs for Xmas and burn the racquets!

So much to catch up on, fab links.
linus the C and P striped dress is here, will have a proper try on tomorrow and report back.
Santa I love you anyway but especially because the scarf is beautiful and I love it Thanks
And thanks all for the enthusiastic welcome back. I've had one of the best holidays ever Grin Sailing is amazing. And I'm really proud of myself because I was very out of my comfort zone. We've really had quite an adventure.
Fashion wise my Gigis, Gap bf denim shorts even tough they are now huge on the waist were the stars. Next time I'm wearing bikinis...no more ridiculous hang ups .i

Morning!

blair I have my eye on a cobalt/indigo Zarita but I tried some on last winter and wasn't convinced, but maybe the navy and black ones I tried were not the right colour on me.

dry hope the dress fits! Can't wait to wear mine again with opaques.

Bit chilly here this morning so am wearing grey Leigh skinnies, By Malene Birger breton and my bikers with thick socks. Will have to change into something less warm as the day heats up, hopefully.

Morning raining here. Hopefully the dc and dh are going to pils for the day so I can get some stuff done.

Blair Smile will be great fun to do another mu.

Linus you'd look very chic too.

How do people feel about macs / trench (what's the difference?). I used to have one ages ago, it was good but got too shabby.

Do you have one, do you like wearing it?

Morning fabulous Voguettes? How are we all on this shit awful miserable day? I am ignoring the fact that the weather makes me depressed Grin
Marsha a Mac is one of those things I always think I need, but on the two occasions I have bought one (granted from M&S back in the day), I never wore them Hmm so I'm no use to you I'm afraid.
Liberty is absolutely rocking the coat that Santa passed on - rocking it with a big ecstatically happy grin on her face :)

No big plans today, busy week of organising stuff and final playdates before DS starts pre-school. On his first day I intend to read my latest issue of Vogue cover to cover (which I took on holiday and still haven't got round to reading!)

I think they are very classic, and I can see many on here rocking them, including Liberty!

Not sure if I can, just out of my zone.

Report
LinusDKD · 25/08/2014 11:21

I love my Burberry one, as you well know. Wink

I think everyone can wear them, it's all in the details. I think you could wear one if the style is a bit thoughed up marsha.

Think Rag and Bone or Acne meets classic trench.

How about this ?

Report
LinusDKD · 25/08/2014 11:25

LOVE this colour but maybe a bit too classic for you.

Report
LinusDKD · 25/08/2014 11:27

tall women like you can pull this one off and it's not too classic.

Ooh nice Linus yes think you're right, needs to have a bit on an edge.

I think it would have to be navy. Love those links.

btw you are definitely in the can wear trench well / in a chic way category.

Dh has taken the dc to the Tate Modern so I can get stuff done. Except some links to things I can't get as I plough through it Grin

Liberty are you studying? I always feel better when you're at the Mac (or is it PC?) too.

I like this Saint Laurent blazer.
