There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

Glad you're having fun Linus
Remus just pinned this rather fabulous scarf
Very similar to the one that Dry and I bought last year. If anyone sees this one on their travels please shout. It's love and I have to have it but no idea where to start looking.

Not quite the same but still nice. Acrylic though.

Actually Remus's pin looks like a Zara scarf from last winter.

Morning everyone. Had a good night out. Very indulgent, but I don't feel too bad - although I woke at 5am. Perhaps it was the espresso martini kicking in that dh insisted on getting me as he thinks they are the best thing.

The dc get on well with the babysitter now so it's much easier all round. Going to do it more often.

Ha shop, we linked the same Zara scarf!

this one looks a lot like the one you love but is not quite the same.

Morning all

Am sitting with coffee catching up on the last few days of MNV. Grin at the Marsha shoe/coat debate. Am I right in thinking end result is shoes, to be returned yeah, right and no coat?

Hi to Novice, glad you are having a good time and knew you wouldn't keep away from us all your holiday!

Loved your outfit to the theatre Blair. I have located a pair of black rockstud alikes and will order. Will link when ordered.

Had a fantastic day yesterday. BBQ at friends in the afternoon followed by a party with live music in a marquee in the evening. Amazingly, I don't have a hangover but dh, when he surfaces, will likely have a mahoosive one!

Am loving the tartan scarves you've been linking.

Embarrassing exchange of the eve:
Friend: the bands singer is a great bloke, he's staying with my neighbour
Me:him in the blue?
Friend: yes
Me: oooo, he's rather handsome
Friend: and this is his wife....
Me Blush.

Morning all. Mildly hungover here, too many cocktails!

shop I did a bit of Sunday morning scarf sleuthing. It seems the actual scarf is defo from Zara, probably last AW, but ebay may have come up trumps:
Possibly the real deal but £££ as sold out
Chinese rip off version, you're welcome! Wink

fedup party sounds great. At least all you said was "handsome" Grin

Oh and how could I forget... ordered these shoe boots in store yesterday at russell & bromley. They are for work and going out, so hopefully CPW will be good. Definitely filled a gap in my footwear wardrobe!

Santa I had a very similar dress to your new Marant a few years ago – I practically lived it in with black leggings and biker boots for a whole winter and the grey sweater is totally perfect. Lovely stuff.

Thanks for all the enquires/good wishes for DH – he’s not too bad, a bit sore etc. Next week will be a challenge though; he’s definitely not going to be able to chase a 3 year old for a while so I will have to juggle work quite a bit. These are the times you miss not having family nearby.

Shop I like the planned new hair style a lot – you should have it grown out to that length by Christmas?

I love those shoe boots Blair. I’m having a major mental footwear debate ATM. I had decided to buy R&B ballet flats, then decided the shoe boots would be a better AW buy and to get the ballet flats next spring instead. Then in the last few days I started wondering if I should get 50/50’s…but at £435 I really don’t know if I can…also thinking about these boots which are not cheap but not as £££ as the 50/50’s – any opinions? They would be mostly for wearing with A-Line and flared skirts for work.

libertychick · 24/08/2014 16:09

Oh and do Grazia do R&B codes for time to time? Whatever I buy it would be nice to get 20 or 25% off!

Yay! dry is here! dry is here!

liberty I like the gold dryxl, and think they are more you than the shoe boots,

marsha I just had a feeling from the beginning that your heart was set on the Rossi heels Grin, to be fair the APC coat is nice, but something, Was not right, the pockets kinda bugged me.

Report
libertychick · 24/08/2014 16:51

Santa you are so spot on every time! I have had various boots something like the gold dryxl throughout my 20's and 30's - they are very me. I think I'm being a bit boring going for the same type of style over and over again but then if it suits why not? Smile I love the idea of the shoe boots but I think the reason I haven't just gone and bought them is because I mentally see myself putting them on every morning then changing on the way out the door because I need something more comfortable!!

Report
libertychick · 24/08/2014 16:57

And yes, Marsha was never sending the Rossi back was she? Grin But then the blue ones are great summer shoes and the grey more appropriate for winter nights out.

Welcome home Dry. Hope you had fun.

I love shoe boots and the R&B ones you linked Blair are lovely.

Liberty, I've been wearing similar style boots for ever too but you are right, if they suit you and feel 'right' then no contest, buy them and wear them.

We are off to another party tonight, in another marquee. Am lying here with a t shirt over my head trying to decide what to wear! Is a bit chilly outside but will be v hot inside.

Evening!

dry welcome back! Hope you had a great holiday!

liberty I agree, if that style of boot suits you why not wear it. I have some similar knee boots stashed away and might try them on again this winter. They were getting too tight around the calves for me to wear but I hope my weightloss has also reached my calves.

marsha such a shame about the peacoat. Are you definitely keeping the heels? Grin

fedup sorry but your story made me laugh. At least you said something complimentary about that guy so it could have been worse.

Welcome back Dry!

Liberty I think those boots are great for you, go for it.

Linus not completely sure yet.

They've been dispatched, not here yet. I should wait til I see them I guess before deciding Grin

Evening all.
Am pleased to report the post bedtime 'catch up' with DH is still working well for us Wink
Blair I think I love you! Is that legit? I know it's acrylic but I actually don't care! I've never bought from a site like that before - will it be ok?
DRY !!!!!!!! yay! Welcome back - oh how I've missed you! MWAH - how was the boat? looked fabulous in your pics? Tell all.
Liberty my hairdresser reckons it won't take too long. He says he'll hold my hand through it (I hate having mushroom head while my hair grows out). So yes, keeping my fingers crossed for a new Christmas do!
Which reminds me - who is up for a Vogue Christmas London night out this year? Cocktails, party dresses and full on glam?
