There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

Amber what's on your A/W wish list? being nosey

bettykt · 07/09/2014 22:56

One I bought some lovely cashmere knitwear from Sainsbury's in the sale. They have worn really well and wash really well too. Shame I shrunk my favourite cardi in the washing machine, so am looking to replace it.

AmberNectarine · 07/09/2014 23:00

dry now you're asking.

Erm, rockstuds of some iteration, trying to decide between the flat and the kitten heel.
Burgundy suede 5050s.
Bronze metallic nike air max.
A black and white long sleeved stripy top
Black leather leggings
New black biker boots
A tartan kilt
A slinky red dress

That'll probably do for starters

Drywhiteplease · 08/09/2014 07:50

Ooh look forward to links when you get all of that. Red dress sounds exciting. Also liking the sound of bronze Nikes.

OneLittleLady · 08/09/2014 10:23

Morning all

How are you feeling this morning shop? did you enjoy the weddings?

Wishlist sounds great amber, I especially like the sound of the tartan kilt and 5050s

QueenCardigan · 08/09/2014 10:51

Grin at ambers wish list containing 4 pairs of footwear. I love that we've all got our little thing that we're obssessed with.

Another hot one today. Once I've got out of sweaty exercise gear it'll be shorts I think.

AmberNectarine · 08/09/2014 11:41

I thought I was being restrained! There are plenty more shoes I could add to that list!

QueenCardigan · 08/09/2014 12:53

I love your shoes fetish amber. I'm imaginng you have a very big shoe rack to keep them all in. If only as many cardigans were produced as shoes...

OneLittleLady · 08/09/2014 14:12

Argh, my oven has broken!!! It switched itself on and then wouldn't turn off. My brothers been up to unplug it and stuff but I've now got to find a new one which is an expense I could really have done without right now Sad

maradesbois · 08/09/2014 14:28

QueenC Envy of your nice weather. It's only 14 here, chilly. Tks for bag links last night, I like the Dune one & great value.

Not having the best day. Have just had a meltdown at the Apple so-called 'Genius Bar', it has taken me all morning to get a replacement phone. I knew I was ranting but couldn't help it, have just fired off an angry but considered response to their CS suggesting improvements to the set up which was very cathartic.

Novice the glittery Valorie is lovely just not sure if for me. Think the colour would be good for the dress but don't want to get a bag that only matches one item in my wardrobe. How was ds going to school today? Mine was ok again but when I went to get him the teacher said another child has hit him in the face. She seemed really sheepish but ds just shrugged it off, guess its for the best that he's not highly strung like his mother!

Amber fab wish list. I am considering dark green patent rockstud flats.

shopafrolic · 08/09/2014 16:42

Hi all.
Mara glad DS seems to have handled it well! Green rockstuds sound lush.
GAP order arrived. The black skinny jeans are a hideous fit on me - more like straight legs so back they go. I was hoping to get high street priced black jeans as they fade so quickly but perhaps it's not to be.
I am keeping the red plaid shirt, and just wanted to mention that these merino sweaters are just lovely. I got a black one, and have just ordered a tan colour block one too while the 30% promo is still on. Size up. Marsha the tall fit has nice long sleeves! (if you're around? - haven't seen you for a while.......)

Weddings were really lovely thanks One (sorry about the oven BTW). Saturday's was very drunken, so I wasn't on the best form yesterday for the family do and it was a long drive. I am worn out and my raging sore throat is back too much drunken shouting Both brides looked beautiful but completely different dresses. Saturdays was full 3/4 length skirt, nipped in waist, kind of 50s style I guess. Yesterdays was more of a column dress with layers of silk. I felt fab in both dresses that I'd chosen and DH approved. It was really nice to be out together dressed up without DS in tow on Sat, but equally lovely to have him dressed up in his little shirt and bow tie yesterday! Good times.

Shop I really rate Gap merino and fine cotton knitwear. Pretty hard wearing and washable. Love the camel colour block.
Well the leather skirts have started arriving. Will give full update when I've tried them all on.

MarshaBrady · 08/09/2014 19:08

Hello! I have been in the midst of a project for work but it's really this week that's pretty full on. Next week will be much easier in terms of free time.

Also this weather is nice, and has postponed AW thoughts for the minute!

OneLittleLady · 08/09/2014 19:14

The wedding dresses both sound beautiful shop and it sounds like your Ds will have looked cute as a button in his bowtie Smile

Ugggh, this evening will be spent looking for a new oven. Hopefully i'll find something that can be fitted ASAP, this week with any luck as i start uni a week today and can't be having time off straight away!

MarshaBrady · 08/09/2014 19:18

Hope you're more successful than I am with the oven One, still waiting for mine.

Loved that bow tie pic Shop, very cute.

MarshaBrady · 08/09/2014 19:51

I am eyeing up some ankle boots though.

What AW boot are you all wearing?

shopafrolic · 08/09/2014 20:25

Pistols Marsha and Marant of course!!! Never in a million years did I think I'd ever be able to say that!! How Vogue am I? Grin

shopafrolic · 08/09/2014 20:45

I have the biggest blister on my heel. I had it from walking to school last week, smacked some plasters over it and did way too much drunk dancing in heels on Saturday, more heels on Sunday and now I can't walk!
Linus hope London is treating you well

MarshaBrady · 08/09/2014 20:47

Ouch but sign of a good weekend at least, I really like those blister plasters at Sainsbury's. They seem to help a lot.

MarshaBrady · 08/09/2014 20:48

Although you'll have to send your dh to get them.

libertychick · 08/09/2014 20:50

Ouch Shop - have you tried Compeed blister plasters? They are ace!

Love those Pistols! And yes, AW footwear being Acne and Marant is terribly vogue darling eyes up last years TKMaxx ankle boots and selection of M&S flats and thinks maybe an upgrade is in order
