There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

That dress is so gorgeous Mara, bet you look amazing.

I really like the clutch, it's quite sparkly for the dress but could work well.

maradesbois · 07/09/2014 13:20

Think it could be a bit ott maybe, really love this is more my style but didn't want to spend that much.

maradesbois · 07/09/2014 13:24

Another contender is [[
www.net-a-porter.com/gb/en/product/444076?cm_mmc=ProductSearch--gb--Clutch_Bags-_-Lizard-effect&gclid=CPS-5feLz8ACFU7MtAodPyYAqA this dvf]]. Don't want to look too try hard matchy though and this one would look a bit like a set with my gold sandals.

maradesbois · 07/09/2014 13:25

Oops, link fail dvf. Boring?

MarshaBrady · 07/09/2014 14:12

No not at all, I love that, and better with the dress than the Anya. Go for it!

The Smythson is beautiful too.

Awks · 07/09/2014 15:17

I like this bag

LinusDKD · 07/09/2014 16:46

Yay, am in London!

First port of call? Boots! Grin

Drywhiteplease · 07/09/2014 17:08

Good grief, I'm exhausted...been trying to tidy/clean/get some order in my house after a horrendous kettle bells class. Need a stiff drink to recover Grin but I still have a loo on my drive! Shock it's been there for 5 weeks and is pissing me off lol crap jokes welcome!!! Really doesn't make a good first impression.

The shop is called Immanuel Fabrics in Burnley. An absolute tip. No frills. Like a warehouse filled with rolls of fabric. You need to go with an open mind and no colour scheme in mind and prepared to rummage but we have all well honed those skills with our clothes shopping I was fully prepared to come back with nothing.

QueenC what I would give for a D and G dress! Chanel jacket, Hermes Birkin, Armani evening dress, YSL tuxedo and that Acne skirt is a lot like one I ordered but I suspect the leather is softer Sad

Awks I love driving that way. The heather is beautiful at the moment and the sky yesterday was angry....it was very Wuthering Heights in my MazdaGrin

OneLittleLady · 07/09/2014 18:57

I'd like to get some cashmere or at least cashmere mix cardigans for this A/W as I think they will help keep me a bit warmer as I really feel the cold. Where would you lovely ladies recommend I look for these at a decent price?

Fedupnagging · 07/09/2014 19:05

That's is a seriously stunning dress Mara. You will look gorgeous. I have had a little look for bags for you and got distracted with high end fashion found this vision of lovliness. I think someone on MNV has one of these, Santa maybe? I love the blue colour way which I pinned last year.

This bag is also nice - I like the understated plainness (sp?!) of this. Nothing understated about the price though Grin

Have fun in London Linus

Stokey · 07/09/2014 20:20

One I got a Brora cashmere cardie on ebay last winter for about 20 pounds. On the high street Uniqlo cashmere is not bad quality and if you sign up for their emails, they offer lots of discounts.

Boden have got some great colours but a bit pricier and no idea of the quality.

OneLittleLady · 07/09/2014 20:31

Will check out Uniqlo, thanks stokey

santamarianovella · 07/09/2014 20:50

dry sounds you are half way there, picking fabrics already, and great savings,

fedup sadly I don't own the utterly scrummy crisp bag, it reached stratosphere heights when beyonce's sister used it to attack jay z!! And sold out everywhere, don't why though Hmm

Drywhiteplease · 07/09/2014 21:03

One if you are looking at Uniqlo and a cold person, like me, their hi tech vests are the best I've tried......soooooooo MNV Grin......it's all great on the outside with me, underneath not as glamourousGrin

maradesbois · 07/09/2014 21:10

Thanks Marsha for the vote of confidence in the dvf. May well go for it and helps it is the least expensive. Want something nice without spending too much.

Fedup lovely suggestions but are you trying to bankrupt me? Grin

Santa ah, so that why it's sold out. Wasn't aware that it was Solange's weapon of choice.

One TK Maxx promise I don't work for them Last winter I got the following cashmere knits there:

Theory camel colour oversized poncho/ jumper.
Max & Co (dh says is part of MaxMara group, am not sure) grey 3/4 sleeve sweater.
Navy double faced cardigan from an Italian brand I can't remember but quality is fab.

OneLittleLady · 07/09/2014 21:25

Thanks for the recommendation dry

mara we have a pretty big TkMaxx on the retail park here so will try and get up there to have a rummage around. I am at my bargainous best when hunting in places like that

shopafrolic · 07/09/2014 21:37

Eurgggghhhhhh. I am broken and I have dance floor blisters. Back tomorrow when I can function. Love you all MWAH

QueenCardigan · 07/09/2014 21:40

for mara

QueenCardigan · 07/09/2014 21:41

and another

QueenCardigan · 07/09/2014 21:43

cheap

Awks · 07/09/2014 21:45

One there's loads of cashmere in TK maxx right now. I tried some nice Kew ones on for 39.99 last week but they weren't long enough.

BrandyAlexander · 07/09/2014 21:48

Lol Shop! Glad you had fun!

One, Mara beat me to it but absolutely my first thought tkmaxx. Dmil doesn't get her cashmere anywhere else. Also, this is a bit left field but I was reading a thread ages ago and someone was raving about one of the supermarket brand cashmere. I had made a mental note of it and now I have totally forgotten which one. Hmm Maybe Sainsburys? (I love the kids stuff but I have never got anything for adults from there).

BrandyAlexander · 07/09/2014 21:49

Mara, I really liked the glitter clutch but you said it wasn't you.Sad (Though I think you would look v glam with it).

OneLittleLady · 07/09/2014 21:58

Awks being too short isn't a problem for me as I'm only 4' 11''! I will definitely head up there and also try the ones in the next city over if I get a chance

AmberNectarine · 07/09/2014 22:22

I get my cashmere from Uniqlo - it is very good quality for the price.
