There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

Grin at the DC's not getting that school is a long term arrangement.

DD's nursery staff came around to do home visit today (she starts on 15th). All went well, she is going in the afternoon so DH was explaining he will take her there after lunch. She then asked them what they would give her for dinner!! We said you are coming home in time for dinner and the relief on her little face Grin. I think this has been a worry for her...

OneLittleLady · 04/09/2014 22:18

Speaking of going back to school, Ds was called into the office first day back and told he'd been chosen to be one of the two year 6 hall monitors! Yes, my boy is in his last year of primary does this mean I'm..........old?!?!

libertychick · 04/09/2014 22:25

Well done minione Smile. You are definitely not old!

OneLittleLady · 04/09/2014 22:39

I'm very proud of him liberty he's come so far in the last few years, since his Bama (grandma, my mum) died. I can't claim much credit though, his second family have to take most of that

libertychick · 04/09/2014 22:48

You are his Mum One and you are being an amazing role model with the way you are caring for yourself, getting into university etc. Don't underestimate how important that is - he is a lucky boy to have lots of people who love him and care about him.

OneLittleLady · 04/09/2014 23:03

Aaah, thank you liberty Smile

LinusDKD · 05/09/2014 07:32

Morning!

Thanks for all the breakfast recommendations, will definitely check them out.

We have also booked two restaurants for dinner and I can't wait!

one you can be so proud of your DS and yourself. The way you keep positive and kind after all the crap life had thrown at you, you are a real inspiration.

I never had an eye patch but I remember the feeling of being 'different' when I was a spotty teenager wearing glasses and braces and it's not a nice feeling.

sleep I love that jacket and those cashmere joggers look sooo cozy.

Today I am wearing my Jimmies, an Asos baseball tee and my red Gigis.

Oh and my P&J Sister coatigan. I just love that thing! You throw it on and any outfit instantly looks more polished.

Not sure what to take to London, the weather forecast looks ok but not very warm.

QueenCardigan · 05/09/2014 07:40

Thanks for all the glasses and patch love. We pick up her glasses next week and then she'll have to wear them all of the time and after a month she'll have to wear the patch for 4 hours a day. She's a feisty headstrong little thing though and is very difficult to persuade her to do something if she doesn't want to.
Lots of love to all the mini voguettes getting used to new routines. They will all be fine. Do take some credit one. Ds may have another family too but you've been a constant in his life and are now a great inspiration in losing weight/starting uni.
Full of cold and feeling rough. Hoping to feel better for tomorrow night as have a cocktail party to go to.

shopafrolic · 05/09/2014 08:06

QueenC sending more patch love - like Linus I was the kid at school with braces (and headgear :( ). I remember feeling like the odd one out but am now soooooo grateful to my parents for making sure I got sorted out. You're doing the best thing for her. Hugs to you.
One you are v inspirational. Be proud of him AND yourself
Amber I forgot to respond to your post - sorry. It's lovely to see you back.I don't know the circumstances that have led to your career break but I hope the year off gives you some time to relax - it'll be lovely to have you back more on here.
Linus tell all about the restaurants when you can. Will they be dressy?
Liberty go easy on yourself (and your lovely thighs!). Shame the dress is going back, it looked great. Something better will come along though.
Waves to Sleep - DH is already feeling better having given up the dairy but he's missing cheese :)
Novice how are drop offs now?
Dry skirts must be due today?
Mara I tried my local TK Maxx inspired by you. No Lanvin to be seen - full of tat as usual :(
Betty let me know how the boots are - I am still tempted as they are a great price (and yummy colour)
Fedup did you get anything from Boden in the end?
2 weddings this weekend. Jaegar dress tomorrow, and Whistles Bella on Sunday.
Waving to anyone I've missed. Epic post!

Thank you thank you!

I knew I'd do a date wrong dammit!

We'll probably get more drop outs on 20th so we could lose that option. Looking good will be back later and need to put my name.

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 08:16

Mara is 6 and 13th? will add later

OneLittleLady · 05/09/2014 08:32

Morning all.

thank you all for you kind words Thanks

Have woken up with the worst headache, dosing myself up and waiting for it to pass

QueenCardigan · 05/09/2014 09:35

I did a JL order the other day for home stuff and on a whim ordered this cardigan. I didn't think it would be the right shade of green but it is so I'm very happy. Also ordered the pink belt I love as there were only two in stock so I didn't want to risk waiting till my birthday. I love it but I need to size up as it's a waist belt so is a bit small on my jeans.

libertychick · 05/09/2014 10:16

Nice cardi QueenC I so want to know how many you own now Grin. Great belt, I have a couple of from Hobbs and the quality is really good.

I'm so fed up of all the returns so I ordered this bag on a whim. I saw it styled in a M&S ad and really liked the look of it. I'm thinking of selling some bags on ebay - I have never sold on there before. How do I convince people I am safe to buy from when I don't have a sales record?

shopafrolic · 05/09/2014 11:57

Yes, come on QueenC how many?!
Liberty I've always just been honest. Put within the ad that you are new to EBay and clearing out your wardrobe. Are they designer bits or high street brands?

An AH pink mini Gracie (remember it Marsha? Smile) which I have never used and this little DVF one which I have only used a couple of times. I'm looking at Vestiaire Collective - lower commission than dress agencies and less work for me than Ebay. Will mull it over, I do like both bags but think realistically I am not going to use them.

OneLittleLady · 05/09/2014 14:08

liberty I might be interested in the mini gracie if you definitely want to sell it on. I don't want to be pushy though so please don't feel pressured by me asking Smile

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 14:10

Liberty I do! What happened! I feel responsible Grin

QueenCardigan · 05/09/2014 14:15

lib what happened? You were so happy when you got Gracie and the dvf bag?

There's 14 cardigans in my pin wardrobe and I probably have a couple more than that.....

libertychick · 05/09/2014 14:25

I know, I know, QueenC I was really happy with both but they just sit there. No need to feel responsible Marsha I was so pleased to get it at the time. The thing is I don't go out at night a lot and neither of them are that practical for day to day use. Also the hardware on the mini Gracie is gold and I usually wear silver accessories - I'm not usually concerned about being very matchy, (for example the hardware on my Modalu work bag is gold and I use it daily) but for some reason every time I decide to use the Gracie the gold bothers me.

I am debating keeping the DVF as it's more 'me' and I don't have any other clutch or going out type bag so until I find something else it is useful to have - decisions, decisions...

I'll pm you One re the Gracie....

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 14:27

Bummer Lib!

libertychick · 05/09/2014 14:44

I know Marsha. I've been doing a lot of sorting over the last few weeks, wardrobe, house etc and evaluating things and I am a sucker for buying on impulse or convincing myself that something is essential/perfect and then never using it! I'm considering a brief ban on internet shopping (after my latest JL and Gap orders turn up Grin). I need to learn to 'pause and consider'.

libertychick · 05/09/2014 14:47

I am in no position to judge your number of cardis QueenC. I have a similar number of jumpers and they are all grey, black and navy with one solitary pink one - at least you have a range of lovely cheerful bright colours.

libertychick · 05/09/2014 14:48

BTW Marsha have you got an oven yet?

And how did DS get on today Shop?
