There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

I'm not judging you either about the cardis QueenC I have about three dozen of them myself I think, maybe more. I've never counted up Blush

liberty have pm'd you

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 14:55

no

And I just moved it from Tuesday to Thursday as I have interviews on the phone and it will be a pita to be talking to them as they bring it in, I can't.

Then realised that cleaner is here Thursday, but dh will be home so he can deal with both.

My week! Seriously. The amount of people I have to contact to do some work is unbelievable.

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 14:56

Oh and out of the blue a delivery guy rang up and said I have your oven, so I booked the electrician, and then an hour later oh I don't have your goods, sorry.

I combusted. Like an oven

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 14:57

Shakes fist at JL

I expect some good vouchers for my pain Hmm

doubt it

libertychick · 05/09/2014 15:06

Sounds stressful Marsha. Combusting like an oven made me Grin though!!

OneLittleLady · 05/09/2014 15:30

Poor you marsha I hope it's all sorted out soon. No oven must be pretty stressful

QueenCardigan · 05/09/2014 15:53

Oh no marsha what a pita.

I only own about 3 jumpers plus a couple for slobbing around the house on cold days but I much prefer the cardi/blouse combo for me. I just need this weather to cool down. It's seems too warm and sunny to be wearing dark purple and dark green cardis. I've realised that I have some that are more suited to the summer months so I shall be packing those away and then it'll be like having new cardis again next year Grin

lib you did seem to really like the dvf bag and if you get rid of it next time you go out you won't have anything so I reckon you should hang onto it a bit longer.

santamarianovella · 05/09/2014 15:53

How annoying marsha !jL were supposed to be good at this stuff,

liberty you should come and live with me Grin still having issues, can't do any online orders, and its driving me mad!

OneLittleLady · 05/09/2014 15:57

I agree with QueenC that you should keep the DVF liberty it's a lovely bag and perfect for going out with. also, thank you Thanks

Sleepwhenidie · 05/09/2014 16:42

One I'd second what Lib and others have said, you must be very proud of DS and should take a great deal of credit yourself too. What lovely news on his first day back!

Marsha sympathies on the absence of oven, what a pain.

Amber when does your year off start? Have you got plans a marathon maybe Wink.

So I bought the R&B blazer, very happy except I've just tried it on and they've left the security tag on Hmm so I have to go back to the shop so I can wear it out with DH tonight. Also a very happy bunny as I got the snakey jeans I was contemplating at £215 before the summer for £65. And the Paul&Joe bobbly jumper Blush

libertychick · 05/09/2014 16:43

Thank you One Thanks as you are buying it I don't have to faff around with Ebay Smile

I will keep the DVF - I do like it, just feel guilty having stuff I don't use much but actually over time it will probably will earn it's keep.

We could house swop Santa Grin. I get an exceptional DHL service here - booked collection today for 3 boxes for Outnet/Matches and they turned up to collect within 10 minutes. This happens a lot! I'm starting to wonder if the DHL man lives on my street.

libertychick · 05/09/2014 16:48

Great buys Sleep. The jeans are perfect for you and great price.

OneLittleLady · 05/09/2014 16:56

thank you Sleep great buys, the jeans are fabulous and I bet you look amazing in them. PITA about the jacket though, I've had that happen a few times and I always feel so embarrassed as a couple of times they've been very skeptical that i actually paid for the items. Once I had to ask for the manager as even after I produced the receipt, the staff member serving me refused to believe I'd paid for the stuff! I never shopped in that branch of the store again tbh as I was so upset by how she'd treated me

Drywhiteplease · 05/09/2014 17:40

liberty I'm holding your hand in solidarity....I too am guilty of buying on impulse 4 leather skirts.....oops, Nancy eek, Eiffel Tower scarf woops etc etc and convincing myself it is essential.......Internet shopping is fatal, I hardLy ever go to an actual shop. Shame about your bags though Sad

It's Friday ladies and I have 2 bottles of white chilling in the fridge couldn't decide which to have later so gave myself a choice, not planning on drinking bothGrin

No leather skirts Sad just a boring parcel for next door.

Drywhiteplease · 05/09/2014 17:47

Sleep I think I mentioned the time I was in our city Top Shop with dd near Christmas last year. A young woman came up to the till, togged up for a big night out orange tan, blonde extensions, false eyelashes, massive platforms, very small dress and practically lay on the till so they could take the tag off her dress! She'd only noticed it was still attached as she was in the taxi on her way out! Grin I take it you won't be doing the same Grin

LinusDKD · 05/09/2014 17:56

Lol dry

liberty soo jealous of your p&p advantages. Living abroad is a pain sometimes.
Not with Shopbop though, they are brilliant.

marsha I hate when that happens and you must be even more dissapointed JL is the culprit.

dry cheers! I like your way of thinking, keeping your booze options open.

I am on the pink bubbles as DH wanted to celebrate the start of our long weekend.

maradesbois · 05/09/2014 18:11

Good haul Sleep. I've had the tag thing lots lately too, a real pita especially as one of them was a baby gift. Was on the way to see said baby when I realised as it set the alarm off in a different store I popped into. They managed to remove it but packaging was trashed. [Grin] at your ds re school too. That's exactly the attitude I'm getting ie its fine, might feel like going again sometime next week.

Marsha disappointing service from JL indeed. Hope all is resolved soon.

Liberty shame about your DVF order, could just have pictured you in that dress but nice bag to compensate.

Dry choice is good for skirts and wine!

I have a bottle of fizz chilling in the fridge to be opened when dh gets home later. Can't wait to have a relaxing family weekend with no travel.

maradesbois · 05/09/2014 18:13

Enjoy your weekend Linus and cheers! Am guessing its just you and dh, great to do that sometimes.

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 18:14

MU

Nov 29th Sat - One, Liberty, Novice, Sleep, Shop (will be a bit late as DH is shooting in Cambs that day)

Dec 6th One, Sleep, Shop (maybe) Mara

Dec 13th One, Novice, Sleep (she thinks), Shop, Mara

Have taken off 20th as too close to Christmas, added you Mara!

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 18:18

Yep I felt disappointed as I held JL up really high with CS. But they did say new systems so perhaps so. I also remember saying you need to sort this out or I'll go on a social media rampage. Which kinda made me laugh inside a bit, the modern version of going postal Grin

Sleep that's great shopping, especially those big discounts. Love the blazer.

Sleepwhenidie · 05/09/2014 18:41

That's the way Marsha, threaten them with the big guns Grin

LinusDKD · 05/09/2014 18:44

mara the first few days we'll be with the DC and then we have two nights and one and a half days just DH and me.

Well he has meetings on Monday but we have two restaurants booked and I can't wait to eat a meal in peace and quiet without having to feed the DC or coax them into eating, having a conversation that doesn't get interrupted every 5 seconds and no cleaning up afterwards.

Knowing that the DC are being spoilt by their grandparents makes me feel less guilty about leaving them. Wink

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 18:44

Lol yeh

Just you watch out I have Vogue (mn cough) and I'm not afraid to use it Grin

MarshaBrady · 05/09/2014 18:45

Linus they'll love it and you'll love it, sounds perfect

LinusDKD · 05/09/2014 18:46

scarf for shop

Quite similar to the Zara one you're lusting after but no plastic, 100% wool.
