There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

I was wondering what shop meant by saying you were a brave woman queen ,wow!!

marsha marsha marsha!!! Your trick to divert us from the Rossi heels, with all your jumpers, didnt work! naughty! Will you keep them? Smile

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 18:02

Welcome back Sleep, mara and queen. Glad you all had good holidays.

iPad was playing up yesterday so struggled to post and even more annoyingly, couldn't open any links.

Nice blouse Queen and lovely knits Marsha. Santa, I think the Rossi heels are staying Grin

I like brogues - I have a pair of loafers that are brogue-y looking iykwim, but can only really wear them with trousers, crops look the best.

Very boring here fashion wise today and no fashion news

Btw, is there a date for the Xmas meet up?

LinusDKD · 30/08/2014 19:10

Lovely blouse queenc! If it ain't broke ....

I'm with you on the hair dry! Mine goes frizzy with the slightest whiff of humidity so I hate water getting near it. I did use that Brazilian straightening kit recommended by S&B recently and that does help with the frizz.

Spent most of my day in a bikini and a bathing suit as we had lovely weather here. 32 degrees, finally!

MarshaBrady · 30/08/2014 19:17

lol Santa Grin yes they are still here! I just love them too much.

However I am feeling virtuous as I tried this Massimo Dutti coat and didn't buy it, walked away. It was nice but didn't make me skip

QueenC yes you were so brave and looked incredible in your swimming costume. Lovely blouse.

Fedup good point, Christmas meet up date.

Who has to travel? Which dates are good?

MarshaBrady · 30/08/2014 19:17

32 degrees Linus that sounds lovely.

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 19:41

Love the colour of that coat Marsha but if you don't love it then best to leave it in the shop.

There are some nice items on the Massimo Dutti site. After the talk about brogues, this is a look I really like but would definitely not suit me. (Too short and dumpy!)

There are also some lovely boots but can't do multiple links for some reason today.

Linus, your weather sounds lovely. Just started raining here.

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 19:48

Nice

Also nice and love the the boots too Wink. This is definitely not a look dh would go for

QueenCardigan · 30/08/2014 19:53

I'd definitely be up for an Xmas meet up but will need to check dh rota. I definitely can't do 6/7 dec. I still need to suggest another date for blair hen do too!

MarshaBrady · 30/08/2014 19:54

The first are lovely Fedup and the guy is nice. Dh would look like a wally.

MarshaBrady · 30/08/2014 19:56

Good one QueenC let's start the date ball rolling

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 20:00

Marsha, I think it's a look only a select few can do!

I deliberately declined the offer to go out tonight as got partied out last weekend then had a busy week. Now I'm bored........ As you can probably tell!

Have just check my diary and it looks like we're pretty busy in December but Jan is free so far apart from one possible date.

shopafrolic · 30/08/2014 20:00

The guy looks fit, but still a bit of a wally TBH :)
Shame about the coat Marsha I had high hopes for it.
I'll say it again Queen - love how you know your style
Evening all!
Good day out with the ILs today. DS is getting on so well with his cousin it's lovely to see. I wore my new shirt today and felt good. It's a bit boyish (probably would work with brogues!)
I reckon a knit to wear over it would be good. Bearing in mind I'm supposed to do marine navy rather than true navy, what colour knit do you reckon I could look for? I don't normally do jumpers over shirts, any tips?

LinusDKD · 30/08/2014 20:08

Mmm I think only Mr. Darcy can pull of that look.

Probably won't be able to make a Christmas MU but I expect a full report! Grin

Isn't the weather in the UK supposed to get better next week? Indian summer, no?

QueenCardigan · 30/08/2014 20:09

I would piss myself if I saw dh dressed like that Grin.

I've drank quite a bit of Viognier on an empty stomach so I'm a little bit drunk. But I luffs you all!

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 20:20

Snap Queen, that's exactly what I'm drinking-also on an empty stomach but am just about to tuck into cheese and biscuits.

Shop the layered shirt/jumper combo looks great IMO but I can't wear it as always feel too constricted and uncomfortable. Also I get too hot and bothered

QueenCardigan · 30/08/2014 20:28

fedup we were expecting a curry delivery 30mins ago. If it doesn't come soon we'll be too pissed to eat it Grin

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 20:33

Once you pass the point of return there is no hope....

For Shop

LinusDKD · 30/08/2014 20:41

Mmmmmm curry!

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 20:43

This

And this

I think I like the last pic the most - the cream Arran gives such a good contrast although maybe a bit too light to go under your shirt Shop

shopafrolic · 30/08/2014 20:45

Lovely links linus. That's the thing, I think cream is too light. Wondered about either a warm yellow or a dark grey?

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 30/08/2014 20:47

Gah! Sorry. I meant Fedup
Too much wine for me too!

OP posts:
LinusDKD · 30/08/2014 20:51

How about this shop in the colour Loden?

LinusDKD · 30/08/2014 20:53

Or this toughen it up a bit with some leather detailing?

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 20:55

Oh definitely yellow, or even a mustard yellow. Grey would look good too although I think you'd carry off yellow better.

Am now after a cream Arran/cable jumper. Dm has knitted me a fair few over the years and I loved them at the time.

Fedupnagging · 30/08/2014 21:00

This is the colour I had in mind.

Loving that j crew jumper with the leather detail Linus
