Random question though - the box for my boots is damaged (to the extent that they have stuck it together with sellotape). I'm a bit annoyed as surely the packaging should be perfect or am I being OCD?

Doh I meant Matches of course. Clearly in my head bargains = the outnet.
That is amazing service! So glad the MNV boots are a keeper. Shame about the sweatshirt :/

I think that does sometimes happen with sale items (I imagine they get shoved in a corner somewhere) but it is still annoying. It's worth a try as surely they don't expect people to throw away the box when it's a nice designer one. So it's sort of part of the item really...

I'm going to have to call them anyway about returns so will give it a shot.

Too huge boxes. How exciting, like Christmas!

Equipment cashmere is gorgeous. The size is fine slouchy, I love it.

The Marant boots are super comfy. Black is as a good as the brown. Fab!

All credit to Matches customer service. They gave me a further 10% off the price of the boots to cover the damage to the box. So another £20ish off. Very impressed.

Liberty hope you find a pair of trousers that you like and that fit. I'm like that with dresses. The third pair you linked with the zips look really nice.

Have had a little look for boots and these are my favourites.

I tried these boots last winter and loved them. I got a tan pair instead and did regret not making the purchase - maybe I should stop the search now and just buy them?

Warm and sunny here today so am wearing my gap maxi skirt - my favourite summer purchase. Although purchased mid July, the cpw is in minus figures already

Have you noticed that I'm a bit impulsive? DH and I decided to do our existing en suite up too last night, while we have our builder here. I've just gone out and bought my third shower ...am getting v good at making decisions. I'll have to wait until End Sept to start buying autumn clothes ..... But it's worth so worth it.
liberty and Santa thanks for your encouraging words about bathroom 2, you are right, I'm sure, when it's done it will look fine.

Fedup I would say go with the Tods. I wouldn't buy a second pair in a different colour way as you will always love one more than the other.....
I've sprayed the Crisi boots already - that is a good sign!
Which reminds me - if anyone is interested in a worn twice pair of tan Hudson boots these ones in a UK 7 then PM me

Finally had a chance to have a browse through the Matches sale section while all the time mentally chanting 'workwear, workwear, workwear' and I have ordered these Acne trousers. I looked at lots of DVF trousers but was a bit at the amount of polyester in trousers at that price.

I did get a bit distracted once or twice - my shopping finger hovered hopefully over these totally impractical and not at all work suitable beauties but I womanfully resisted

Fedup if you can afford them the Tods are the ones to go for I think. They are gorgeous and look like they would last forever.

Good news on the new puppy Shop, how exciting.

Marsha I was also itching to buy that blue check Equipment sweater but I really can't justify more knitwear. It's lovely, I can see it looking great with your Burberry trousers.

fedup I'm going to try it on when I get home. Boots have now arrived too.

Marsha you're on the roll with the equipment jumpers! I have the Sloane one, in bright green, and it is lovely.

Marsha to France, just the Loire Valley so won't be that hot, but it does feel weird to be contemplating wearing shorts again. We go every year (PILs have a house there).

Good work on the trousers liberty, hopefully at least one pair should be right out of all those options!

When are you off Blair?
