There's a chill in the air as we head towards Autumn. Some of us may have jetted off to sunnier spots, some of us are lounging on yachts (kind of) but we're still going strong 44 editions in. Come and join us for fun, friendly fashion and beauty chat. All welcome, any budget. :)

QueenC you are one brave woman! (and you look amazing in your swimming costume BTW)

What has QueenC done??

Fedupnagging · 27/08/2014 17:21

Yes Dry, knee boots and skirts are back. Yippee!. Not that I ever stopped wearing them as I look ridiculous in ankle boots and dresses/skirts. How much longer will the builders be in now you are having more work done?

Love the Loire Blair. We had some lovely holidays there when the ds's were younger.

Yes, am seriously tempted by the Tods but they are £££'s. I'd be too worried about damaging them to wear them in bad weather which kind of defeats the object!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/08/2014 17:26

shop we will go down to stay with SIL and BIL in Kent tomorrow night, then travel on Friday. PILs are going to be there with us for the weekend and then we have 10 more days there by ourselves. Looking forward to good wine and good food.

fedup but surely the Tod's would be more resistant to damage, being better made? Wink

shopafrolic · 27/08/2014 17:29

Good enabling Blair Wink
QueenC has done the ice bucket challenge, in her swimming costume, and posted it online.

You brave woman you QueenC also agree that you look amazing in your swimming costume, you have a lovely figure Smile

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2014 17:47

Ooh Fedup you've got me thinking about the ankle boots now. Like you, ankle boots and skirts don't sit well, have this thing that they shorten my LEDs and make me look like a granny. Have been clinging onto my knee boots....but........I look at other women doing the ankle boot/skirt combo and think it looks great and modern. As usual I'll be embracing a trend as it's on it's last legs get it[Grin
Shop very exciting about the puppy....... you bring him up north?
Blair I also love the Loire valley

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2014 17:51

Legs!!! I'm obsessed with house stuff.
fedup builder is finishing ahead of schedule yes now you see he is perfect, reasonable prices, finishes on time, cute colleague, puts food in my fridge (that's not a euphemism) even with extra work. Should be gone sob by end Sept....then it's decorators, carpets, wardrobe fitters and curtains....long way until I'll be in my new room, but hey ho.

shopafrolic · 27/08/2014 18:04

Dry it may scupper our plans :( Will PM you......

Grin Dry

I have tried many and varied ankle boot/skirt combo's and just don't like the look on me so probably will let it pass me by along with the ripped jean!

Skinnies and now a jumpsuit is quite enough to be going on with......

Well done Queen mad woman

OneLittleLady · 27/08/2014 18:19

I do ankle boots with skirts and dresses mainly because I can't get long boots to fit my calves Blush am considering splashing out and getting some DUO boots but I've not seen any yet that I love enough to pay out for

LinusDKD · 27/08/2014 18:56

I only bought some ankle boots last winter so was late to the party too!

I usually only wear them with dresses but maybe now that I've lost some weight they might look good with skinnies as well.

dry if I can wear them, so can you!

Another case of being late to the party, I am considering buying coated skinnies this winter. Not sure if they suit me but I will try on a few pairs just to see.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/08/2014 19:17

This is how my cape arrived! Love it!

Cape itself is pretty fab, it has one arm slit and the other arm comes out from under the buttons. Took me a while to realise. DP is not impressed - "When will you wear that?!"

Shoe boots are perfect too, just sitting with them on and some socks.

Well done QueenC!

And shop - Grin

Blair the dress is just brilliant this one. When I first put it on I wasn't sure, but when I paired it with the nude Floretes it just looks great. (I think!?) Thanks - love it. And such a bargain x
Off to Pilates - back later

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/08/2014 19:40

So glad you did try it on tonight! It looks so good with the floretes. Enjoy pilates x

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2014 19:42

Noooooooooo Shop but I'm not as cuddly as a new puppy admittedly

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2014 19:53

Love that bag Blair!

Must admit the oversize Matches box for boots was nice.

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2014 19:56

Jaeger dress is awesome Shop

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2014 20:04

Blair have a great holiday. Your project when you get back as well as organising your wedding will be to find me a Christmas do dress:

Would love black with a bit of leather trim
Or something red
Or deep purple/plum
Or dark green/olive
Am open to suggestions Smile

LinusDKD · 27/08/2014 20:08

Yay about the dress shop!

blair have a great holiday. DH and I had a lovely holiday in the Loire pre-DC.

MarshaBrady · 27/08/2014 20:09

Yes great choice Blair. Have a fab holiday!

OneLittleLady · 27/08/2014 20:16

Hope you have a lovely holiday Blair

I want some kitten heels for the christmas season, or some very glamorous flats. I'm thinking silver or red to go with my blue Michael Michael Kors dress. Flats could be more versatile as in those colours, they would also go with my dark grey and black DKNY dress and charcoal Biba dress (for those at the MU I went to, it was the dress I was wearing then, the Biba one I mean)

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 27/08/2014 20:22

Well since I have a party dress I'm more than happy to shop vicariously through others! What sort of budget Dry?

(Need to start now as I have another important dress to think about once I'm back! Wink)

Drywhiteplease · 27/08/2014 20:36

Up to £200. No hurry though, you have a few months Smile
I love a slash or round neck
Sleeve wise I'm relaxed
I like dresses fitted at waist but not clingy on the bum fussy
Like fitted, shift styles more than fit and flare.
Have amazing black suede v high shoe boots.
