Ewa michalak bra sizing

Am about to order a bra, but can't remember if I order my usual size, or one cupsize up. It is the S style I am looking at, and I am a 28G/GG or 30FF/G. Anyone roughly my size ordered that style?

I have never heard of bratabase

It's obviously the season for good deals - brandalley has panache on sale including a load of Cleos. Sorrel, you might be interested as they have both pink/orange and blue lily and a yellow patterned darcy which is basically juna in disguise...

hellymelly · 07/08/2014 20:26

I ordered that floral BM Szarotka in a 30G, it was in stock so hopefully will only be a week or so. Am hoping the other one I'm waiting for will be here soon, and the four bras from Comexim. Probably ordering four at once was a bit barmy as they might not fit, so I am stressing about it, but 'tis done now.
The Bravissimo Sweet Medley in a 28H arrived. Am not sure if in this style I need the HH, or if it is just that the bra isn't quite right on me. It does seem as though the cups should be closer together, they are rather too towards my armpits, but the strap doesn't cut in. Just the shape isn't fabulous. Pretty colour though, I like green.

Just realised I didn't send you the pictures, been a ridiculously busy week sorry! The bravissimo balconettes can run a bit small -they vary a bit between fabrics etc too.

goodasitgets · 07/08/2014 20:59

I think I've been ruined by EM now Grin
Got 4 bravissimo bras and sent them all back, I didn't like the shape at all. Despite being a 32K, I want uplift and cleavage and yes, maybe a plunge bra. I don't get why if polish brands can do it, the UK isn't catching up
Imagine if M&S could fit bras properly, had the range of sizes EM does, and all the stunning prints/fabric/cuts? They would make an absolute killing

StatisticallyChallenged · 07/08/2014 22:06

I quite like the Bravissimo balconettes, but they work under different clothes for me. Anything low cut gets an Ewa Grin but I like the more retro shape under higher necklines.

goodasitgets · 07/08/2014 22:07

I think I need to do a shop trip and try on really for best results but the shops are a little far away for me, I get nervous about driving new places too Blush

hellymelly · 07/08/2014 22:29

It was a plunge style, the green one I have from Bravissimo, but it just seems an odd cut, cups a bit too far apart on me and not really any uplift. Digs in slightly at the inner edge too which is why I am wondering about the HH. But then if I move the cups closer together it seems as though it then wouldn't dig in, so maybe it is a style issue. I wish the manufacturers who make 28s and 30s would adapt the whole bra accordingly, and not just make the band smaller.
SC don't worry about pics, I haven't had a chance to get any of the Marcie, been a mad week. I am by the sea so everyone we know seems to either be near on holiday or visits during August!

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 07/08/2014 22:32

I haven't tried that one but I've tried a fair few bravissimo plunges (and own a few satines even though they don't fit perfectly!) and I find the cups too shallow for me. I need more projection than they offer.

hellymelly · 07/08/2014 23:25

Yes, maybe that is the problem. The Satine was too shallow on me in a 28H, There was a 1" section at the bottom of the cup that stayed flat to my body, it just wasn't deep enough to get any breast into it. This isn't as bad as that but perhaps it is too shallow. Would going up a size solve that I wonder?

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 07/08/2014 23:29

It doesn't really solve it - it's what I end up doing with the Satine (got them pre Ewa!) but I still end up with the flat bit. It's known as the orange in a glass effect, where your breast shape can't get to the bottom of the bra.

goodasitgets · 08/08/2014 00:45

See I love the Satine but I get orange in a glass with curvy kate and the upside down 7
Through the day they seem to slide down and push the top of my boobs into a really unattractive flattened shape

StatisticallyChallenged · 08/08/2014 08:57

Yey -ewa are replacing my dodgy bra!

SorrelForbes · 08/08/2014 10:25

That's good news as their customer service can be variable.

I received another EM in the post today from Bratabase. It's a S Truskawki Z Malinami in red. 70GG but the seller it fitted like a 30GG with a snug band. I think it's more like a 32G

It's very comfy but too big in the band (rode up immediately). The gore doesn't sit quite flat (about 5mm) and there is a little bit of gaping at the top of the cups. It's a beautiful bra and I like the shape it gives, but I think that I'm better suited to a CH/CHP shape Sad. I'm dithering about whether to keep it or not...

StatisticallyChallenged · 08/08/2014 10:33

Could the gaping be because of the band being a bit big? I'm wondering if it would be worth taking the band in. I had the gaping with a ck bra but when I sister sized down the gaping vanished.

I have that bra Sorrel. Mine is a 30G and it does feel more like a 28 in the back. It is gorgeous- mine is slightly too small in the G but I have kept it as my weight and size goes up and down due to a thryoid problem (and cake...). The matching pants are really pretty.
I got the EM www.ewa-michalak.pl/product-eng-577-SM-Cukiereczek.html today. In a 30GG, it seems great! Back will get roomy with time possibly, but it is fine at the moment. The cup fits well, good uplift for a non-padded bra. Straps as always are quite wide, but the edge of the bra isn't right into my armpit, I am wearing it now to see how it feels and it seems the best fit of anything so far, the 28H would have been perfect but I get 30s from EM so that I can return them, and the 30s I have had so far are smaller than a Freya 30 so it hasn't been a problem. The colur is particularly nice on me as I am pale, the bright pink is really pretty against the nude of the bra, which is a creamy milky coffee nude rather than a nasty dead beige. I am really happy! They have sent the other two I am waiting for off today, both are a 30G though.
This is similar in shape to Marcie, but this one is a better fit on me.

Glad it works. My experience with the sm bras is thar they don't stretch much and pop back after a wash. Most of my Ewas haven't stretched much. Wearing my bm today, it's a much less in your face shape than the s but still good and very comfortable

hellymelly · 08/08/2014 11:24

The BM should be with me next Thursday-ish I hope, this one was posted on Monday. I am so happy to be wearing something that gives a decent shape and is comfortable. I have been in bras that don't fit me for ages.

Helly am going for my first EM. Think I am going for the one you linked to. Fingers crossed it fits. Am going for 30g.

MangoBiscuit · 08/08/2014 19:28

They're here! Just got back from holiday, and the EM bras I ordered almost 4 weeks ago were waiting for me at the post office. I got the PL S?owianki and CHP Marcepan. I love them. They both fit really well, I love the shape they give, and they're suprisingly comfy.

I'm fairly used to having a properly snug band now, but I'm starting to realise that even the bras that I though fit properly, don't really. I always ended up with something eventually digging in and hurting, or the fabric rolling a little round the bottom of the wires, so the trim would dig in.

I've been wearing the CHP all day and the only bit that's anything less than comfy is where the straps are a tiny bit too far out, and even that's far from painful, just sort of aware of them. I'm so pleased with them! Even the pants are lovely, no odd VPLs, comfy, flattering, and they keep my CS bulge in place! :)

Thank you for the advice, pleased as punch I have a bra that fits, finally. I think I'm going to try ordering an S or SM style and a BM now. The BM especially, it looks so comfy.

hellymelly · 08/08/2014 19:30

Which one HalleLouja? The one just above your post? If so I have worn it all day, which is good for a new bra. It has rubbed a bit at the tip of the wire under the arms, so I have red bits there, it is higher than the Freya I've been wearing so that might be why? but other than that it was great, and cool and light for Summer, now that cotton bras seem to have ceased to exist!

OP posts:
HalleLouja · 08/08/2014 19:36

It was that one. Though need to measure as the bravissimo bra I bought last month is now a bit big in the cup.

hellymelly · 08/08/2014 20:06

Mango I've had my eye on those two styles, it is so hard to choose!
