Ewa michalak bra sizing

hellymelly · 01/07/2014 14:30

Am about to order a bra, but can't remember if I order my usual size, or one cupsize up. It is the S style I am looking at, and I am a 28G/GG or 30FF/G. Anyone roughly my size ordered that style?

Cleo are generally pretty good size wise, I have about 7 and they're all the same size - bar meg. Have you tried Marcie? It's particularly nice on and the cup is slightly more open at the top so it's an easier fit.

Maddie is made for a different breast shape I think - more wide and shallow. Also avoid Lucy, it's a wide shallow one too.

Tutti Rouge are also great for the wide shallow breasts but I've heard of them being stupidly small in the band.

hellymelly · 27/07/2014 15:25

I did try the yellow Marcie, it didn't fit but it was a 30FF so that might be why, as it was too small in the cup. The yellow wasn't quite the right sort of yellow on me, I am really white. Would be stunning on darker skin or with a bit of a tan. I suit a slightly warmer yellow, which it looked in the pics. I wonder if they are bringing it out in new colours for Autumn?
It seems only in the 28 is the Tutti Rouge ridiculously small,(measures 19 unstretched and would struggle to get to a 24") in the 30 it is small for a 30, but in the 32 it was like a normal 32, too big for me.

There's quite a few past season Marcies still kicking about:

pink

Other bargains..
lily, very like meg but standard sizing
Minnie, sorrel has this and it runs standard too

hellymelly · 28/07/2014 00:04

I might buy one of those then. Not the Minnie though, that was the one I tried last week and it was so wide I couldn't move my arms forward without it hurting. I like the little parrots on the Lily. Not sure what to get size wise, I have a 28GG Melissa, it is very like the Meg in shape. It almost fits but is a little bit small. The straps are only just long enough too. I am not sure whether to order an H or stick with the GG. Maybe I need to get them both to work out which fits.

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 28/07/2014 07:26

For 7 I'd order both to try a direct comparison.

Tried my latest ewa order last night and they've made a mistake with one of the bras, it's literally about four cup sizes too small. Emailed to see what they say as it's miles off-I know that custom is normally non returnable but this is a total joke.

hellymelly · 28/07/2014 11:57

Oh No, how annoying. Which style was it? How does the one with the lace cup/spotty sides fit, if that has arrived? I would like one, it looks really pretty. I wish there wasn't such a wait for the bras. i am waiting for the solid raspberry red one with the little ruffle on the pants. It was posted last week so I'm hoping it won't take too long, I can't remember how long the last order took to come once they had sent it out.

OP posts:
hellymelly · 28/07/2014 12:09

I bought the parrot print bra in both sizes and the pink Marcie, so fingers crossed something fits. Thanks for those links, at £7 it will be a brilliant bargain if the Lily is a good fit.

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 28/07/2014 12:23

I've not tried the sm yet, it looks gorgeous though. They've agreed that I can send tge dodgy one back and as long as they agree it's wrong they will replace it which suits me. My orders tske about 4-5 working days from posting.

I ordered lily too -rude not to at that price!

hellymelly · 28/07/2014 18:03

How long to comexim orders take to arrive from ordering?

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 28/07/2014 18:55

I think mine was a couple of weeks but I wouldn't swear to it!

hellymelly · 28/07/2014 18:58

Am trying to place an order with Comexim, I can get to step four in the checkout process (after much trial and error and an online Polish dictionary!) but then it says "invalid carrier or no carrier selected" so I assume I need to somehow get the postage costs added but can't work out how to do that. it has a paypal symbol at the bottom but isn't directing me to paypal, I am confused! I have emailed them. i did telephone but it must be out of their working hours, there was an automated message which obvs I couldn't understand. My working knowledge of Polish is limited to chocolate covered figs. Yum.

You can't pay on-line via the web site from the UK. They will reply to your email will PayPal instructions inc. P&P. I think they are on holiday at the moment?

hellymelly · 28/07/2014 19:59

Oh are they? I can't see that anywhere. It doesn't give much information about ordering really. SC had said that you need to email them, but when i saw the paypal symbol I thought perhaps they had updated the system. Do i need to email them my order? Any ideas when they are back from holidays? I have had another look at the site but I can't see it mentioned.

OP posts:
SorrelForbes · 28/07/2014 21:45

I think they were but tbh that was a couple of weeks ago! They usually reply within a day or two with the total price. Why they can't get their site sorted out to accept orders from the UK I have no idea!

hellymelly · 29/07/2014 11:24

Comexim have replied, a slightly confusing email as they've used the online translator! But they seem to be asking if I have ordered their bras from wellfitting.com as that is important when choosing the size. I looked at wellfitting and they have the bras starting at a 26. And yet the 60cm is the smallest on the Comexim site and that is a 28 isn't it? So maybe their backs come up tiny and the 60 is more like a 26? Should i order a 65?
My Ewa solid red bra came today, lovely! Better fit than anything else I have tried. If they were in the UK I would probably change it for a 30Gg (its a 30G) as it is on the edge of small, but I am trying to lose the weight I've put on so I am just going to keep it. The back is very small though, for a 30. I am glad I didn't get a special order 28 as it fits like a snug 28 as it is. I need it on the end hooks.

OP posts:
hellymelly · 29/07/2014 11:34

If I telephone them, do they have anyone who speaks English? And if I wear a 28GG or a 30G in Panache and Freya then what will I be in Comexim? I am reckoning a 60J or 65HH as their HH=our G and their J= our GG, counting down through the chart
A =A
B=B
C=C
D=D
E=DD
F=E
G=F
H=FF
HH=G
J=GG
So the back size thing too. Do I order 60 or 65?

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 29/07/2014 12:16

I wear a 30h in Cleo, a 30hh in ewa and my best comexim is a 65k. I didn't size up, I actually have a 60L too and it's tight but wearable so I wouldn't.

Ewas are a law unto themselves...

hellymelly · 29/07/2014 12:16

Have confused myself further by working out that 60cm is actually just under 24" and 65cm is just under 26". So do I in fact need a 65 or a 70? Or is their whole bra system different so the sizes are not equivalent?

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 29/07/2014 12:17

Which em was it again btw? I have one of my new ones on today, when will I learn that a full day sitting down in the office is not the right time to break in a new bra!

hellymelly · 29/07/2014 12:21

I cross posted with you SC. So that makes sense then, as a K cup is our H. But I think you wear a HH in Freya don't you? I am going by my freya size (ish, I have slightly lost any insight as to what my right size is at the moment). So a 65L would be a 30HH here, I think...
I seem to be a 28GG on the edge of needing an H in Cleo. How were the Freya ones you got in the sale?

OP posts:
hellymelly · 29/07/2014 12:24

It is the www.ewa-michalak.pl/product-eng-383-S-Truskawki-z-malinami.html The shape is great, cup slightly small but just about wearable. The back is ok, but in a 28 I think I would have struggled to get it done up, as it fits like a 28. Its a 30G. (65G)

OP posts:
SorrelForbes · 29/07/2014 12:46

This probably isn't going to help but for what it's worth...

I wear a 30GG in all Cleo styles that work for me shape wise (i.e. Minnie, Marcie, Lily, Meg, Melissa, Bella, Juna).

I wear a 30GG in Ewa Michalak CHP style and also own a couple of CH styles in a 32G (the bands are a 30!)

I don't wear anything from Freya but am a 30GG in Fauve which is the same company.

I've just ordered this from Well Fitting (as I found the sizing easier to understand on their web site than the Comexim one) in a 65J which, according to their size calculator appears to equate to a 30GG! Here's hoping.

StatisticallyChallenged · 29/07/2014 12:48

I've not tried them yet but I will do when I get home for comparison as I haven't bought or worn much Freya latest so the ones I had were older. I think I got a mix of h and hh too.

I had my eye on that one. How is the s shape on you?

StatisticallyChallenged · 29/07/2014 12:53

I think the difference with sorrel and I, btw, is down to breast shape - I think I have a bit more top fullness which means I need a size up in more closed cups which includes a lot of Freya! Whereas the Cleo are more open so it doesn't cause any problems. I also mainly wear s/sm/pl in ewa which are a bit more closed than the chp and even more so the ch. I only have a couple of chp and did size down in one of them -the gazetta.

hellymelly · 29/07/2014 12:54

Well it will be good to hear how that fits, as by my calculations that is a 30GG too, so at least I can order one cup size/back size down from that as I am one size smaller than you.(My 30FF Fauve bra is too small in the cup and a bit big in the back, I think a 28GG would be right) They seem a lot more expensive from wellfitting though, so I would rather order straight from Comexim. No import duty to pay then either.
My EW pants are nice! I am a 10 normally but as I have extra chub at the moment I need a 12. They are generous, I think the 10 would have been fine, but that is nice anyway as they don't dig in at all and are very stretchy and comfortable. Pretty design with the little ruffle. A distraction from the mound of pizza-dough that is my tummy at the moment!
