RahRahRasputin · 01/05/2014 20:22

Hi, I hope no one minds me starting a new thread, I was about to post on the old one and then saw it was on 999 messages so I'm hoping I can get a link to this one on before it fills up so we don't get lost. Apologies if I've trodden on anyone's toes Blush

The previous thread is here

Love that M&S jumper charity, shame my DS would instantly get his sticky fingers all over it.
I've just started the 5:2 to lose my baby weight. A style day is my reward when I hit my target!

Samedaydifferentusername · 23/05/2014 21:16

Adore the jumper charity although not sure what it would be like on my size 16 figure. Would it look bad layered over a vest, would that ruin it?

Have ordered the Bon prix taupe dress supa, thanks.

evelynj · 24/05/2014 17:13

Ah Supa, wish I'd seen those dresses a couple of weeks ago, mind you I need below knee length.

Sorry buggied, the t isn't on the website for some reason. If there's anyone a bit booby & size 8, 10 or 14, I've just seen this lovely number on ebay

Great pattern!

JenniMoo · 24/05/2014 21:21

Thanks for the link to the taupe dress, supa. I have ordered a couple of dresses from there to try in the hope I can find something suitable for work and autumn coloured...

CMP69 · 24/05/2014 21:34

Oh I had lost you all. Quick bump but also love that Bon prix dress Supa

evelynj · 26/05/2014 21:40

I might get this-shame the neck isn't lower though. Love the pattern

Hello hello! I have ordered and sent back approx one million things recently, will link up some of the keepers/returns soon.

Off to catch up now Smile

Warmleatherette I always think petrol navy looks smarter than brown for autumn business wear, but if it needs to be v formal I would probably compromise on charcoal - looks uber businesslike and tends to be better on most autumns than black/dark navy.

Blackjackcrossed · 27/05/2014 11:27

I'm a autumn - I can get away with navy or black but charcoal is really awful on me - so cold, steely and cheap looking, even before I was analysed I knew charcoal was possibly the worst colour against my skin. Which is a shame because I love it on other people.

Bakersbum · 27/05/2014 13:37

evelynj I have that top in plain ochre, its not strictly an autumn colour but it seems to really suit me and the fabric and cut are both really nice.

JenniMoo · 27/05/2014 16:17

The taupe Bon Prix dress arrived today. I'm undecided on it so far. Good boob coverage but fairly thin material. I also ordered a couple of others including a fab teal maxi dress. Despite the weird bit in the centre it's very flattering, without being frumpy and nice heavy fabric.

AllBuggiedOut · 29/05/2014 11:53

Thanks anyway evelynj - will have to pop in!

What's the sizing like on the maxidress jennimoo, and how low is the neck? Looks fab.

Hopefully · 29/05/2014 12:13

I am living in these NB trainers ATM, great lizard grey type colour Smile.

AllBuggiedOut · 29/05/2014 13:30

Wore mine for the first time yesterday Hopefully! Much as I love my Ash pumps the NB are better for full days of trogging around. Was slightly disconcerted, however, when popped into DH's new office and his boss pointed out that we were wearing the same trainers!

JenniMoo · 29/05/2014 17:11

Allbuggiedout - I bought my usual size and it's just clingy enough to look good without being too loose like some are. The neck is perfect for me in that it's modest but stretchy enough to pull down for BFing! I would wear it without a vest, which is rare!

Hopefully · 31/05/2014 19:13

this parka arrived yesterday. I am totally in love.

Charitygirl1 · 31/05/2014 22:06

God I hate that Asos model! Fab parka tho.

Hopefully · 01/06/2014 09:30

She is awful, isn't she!? I am not accessorising mine with micro shorts and gormless pout.

Charitygirl1 · 01/06/2014 19:45

What will you wear it with? I wear mine (not nice, an ancient Primark version, should upgrade) with jeans usually, but I do love the Parka plus mini plus trainers look.

I accompanied two of my cousins to their Colours Day yesterday - one Bright Winter and one Burnished Winter. It was just as much fun as being done myself. Both looked so so much better in their lipsticks than in the very muted pinks they normally use. Burnished Winter has been dying her hair a warm blonde for years, but she's promised to go back to her original dark brown on Tuesday. I am ludicrously excited, and will be on their cases if I see thm slipping back into their summer and autumn tones!

Hopefully · 01/06/2014 19:59

Probably with an assortment of school run clothes if the weather is cool (tube skirts and tshirts/leggings and long tops at the moment, as still losing weight). My legs are definitely not in mini-anything territory yet! Still 20lbs over pre-preg weight, although have lost 8lb in last 3 weeks since starting exercise again.

Hopefully · 01/06/2014 20:02

In other news, I need to find dress and shoes for smartish but outdoors wedding in July. Haven't been to any smart weddings for about five years so have nothing appropriate to wear in my wardrobe. Would like something with really bold print/colour blocking/asymmetry/maybe a small cutout bit, can't find anything right.

Charitygirl1 · 01/06/2014 22:06

8lbs in 3 weeks is great, well done on restarting exercise. What's your wedding dress budget? This isn't your style I know but I rather fancy this (tho could be a bit Spring...)

Budget is very moveable! Would be happy to only pay £25 for cheapy solution, but don't mind spending £250 on a perfect dress that I will get use of for years.

Love both of these Hopefully.

callamia · 14/06/2014 20:07

Oh Charitygirl, why have you directed me to Me&Em?
I fear for my credit card.

I'm a self-diagnosed deep autumn, but I need to let my hair grow dark again. I don't think highlights are the answer to my greys afterall. I mainly wear navy, cream and yellow, so I'm looking forward to being a little more adventurous.
