Hi, I hope no one minds me starting a new thread, I was about to post on the old one and then saw it was on 999 messages so I'm hoping I can get a link to this one on before it fills up so we don't get lost. Apologies if I've trodden on anyone's toes Blush

The previous thread is here

Identity there are loads on eBay but here is a link.

Here are a couple more of my winter gatherings.
A gorgeous mustard hat and a pair of lace up ankle boots which are a sort of Doc Martin / Brogue hybrid in a brick colour. They do it a petrol green too.

Thanks Silverstreaks!
One thing I am struggling with is vests - I like to layer under shirts and stuff, I have deep teal, and that's it!

Anyone spotted mustard/rust/green vests?

libertydoddle · 16/09/2015 11:19

H&M have lots of vests in autumn colours.

I normally hit up H&M for vests. And Kettlewell, obv.

identity if you're prepared to spend a small fortune there is a lovely leopard print Chan Luu scarf on the So Charming website.

Thank you poster WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo. Now that it's definitely autumn, I'm on the lookout for a winter coat - anyone spotted any gems out there? Below the bum, fairly fitted (probably) but roomy enough to wear a chunky jumper under.

Oof, those scarves are eye-wateringly pricey hopefully! Alas my budget is a bit a lot smaller.

Also I looked on eBay, but they are mostly chiffon, I'd like a huge one that has a bit more drape to it.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread! My mum was recently analysed as a leaf Autumn. Can anybody recommend some lipsticks, blusher and eyeshadows for me to get her? I'm a sultry winter so have no idea about warm colours.

Hello
I mostly wear coral colours now, although at first it seemed wrong. I like the maybelline 24h or whatever and have a nice subtle coral in that.

What coats are you all wearing? Grin

For casual I have a dark green waterproof and warm didriksons parka style coat. For smart I bought a lovely classic long camel coat from Zara a few weeks ago.

I need help.

l'm going to a two day conference at the end of February. Day 1 ends with a dinner, and I don't know what to wear.

During the day I am going for skirt suit and court shoes. What's general conference protocol for the evening? Same suit, dressier suit, dress?

I've looked at the website photos of last year, but there are none of the dinner. Wide variety of styles for daytime though - from jeans and cords to suits for the men, and from floral skirts and cardies to suits for women.

If I need to buy something I need to start looking soon.

I'd guess a dress rather than s suit for the dinner, but not my area of expertise! What are your best colours? I've been looking at dresses recently so will let you know if I spot anything.

Do you have an agenda? If there's a gap between close of play and dinner then I would change into a smartish dress (not cocktail/black tie) with a nice cardigan or similar, depending on your style.

Incidentally, I am on a mission for a dark taupe/mole/petrol navy coloured silk shirt, should anyone happen to see one.

Seen no such thing sadly - gutted that Uniqlo aren't doing their silk shirts this year, just stupid polyester 'silk touch'.

In happier news, Hush are doing their lovely harems in khaki this SS.

Resurrecting this dormant thread (and posting on MN for the first time in months - had to give it up for a bit as it was taking over my life taking up a bit too much spare time) to ask if anyone has seen any good Autumn-toned swimwear? Would prefer a swimsuit without frills or florals, but have seen absolutely nothing so far that would work on an Autumn. I was looking at this but can't tell if it's really a brick red or a more wintery jewel red.

That looks autumn to me!
I've resorted to navy this year as I've not even able to find the right colour/style combination.
