Hi, I hope no one minds me starting a new thread, I was about to post on the old one and then saw it was on 999 messages so I'm hoping I can get a link to this one on before it fills up so we don't get lost. Apologies if I've trodden on anyone's toes Blush

The previous thread is here

Loving this jumper tho definitely wouldn't buy it at that price. Want it to go over cream silk shirt and brown leather leggings. Currently wearing an oversized forest green cardi.

evelynj · 07/02/2015 00:25

Charity-love the colour of that jumper-such a hard colour to find, but yes, seems a bit too expensive-love the sound of your outfit.

Thanks for the tips on coverups etc-will have a look round those places, although like you say Mowglik, the chances of finding the right colour are slim. I have found an olive pashmina that matches well from the back of the wardrobe to fall back on if needs be. I thinks gold belt is next on the list to get!

BabCNesbitt · 17/02/2015 17:39

Trying to find out who it was that recommended this Hobbs top - got it last week, gorgeous colour and it's SO nice to get a top that feels nice and thick!

Now I'm just hoping to find some decent quality high-waisted skinny jeans in Autumn colours! Do such things exist? Tried on the Topshop Joni "jeans" today but they're basically jeggings, in that rather nasty synthetic fabric that you know will bag out before you've reached the end of your street.

libertychick · 17/02/2015 17:59

I have that top BabC! I can't remember if i linked it on this thread or not. I love it.

I have been shopping a lot Blush. Some great things in Other Stories - bought this scarf and this shirt in cream.

Best buy has been this biker style cardigan. I have hardly taken it off for the last week Smile

BabCNesbitt · 17/02/2015 18:05

Hey libertychick - yes, it was your link I followed, thank you! (And your Pinterest board too. :) )

maddywest · 20/02/2015 15:26

Tried this on in Zara yesterday, unfortunately the shape was not quite right on me (bit tight on the arms) but the colours were great. Finding patterned tops is difficult, I've got too many one-colour tops.

(Hope the link works and hello! Lurking blue autumn here)

Rapunzel88 · 26/02/2015 21:38

More lovely Zara goodies. Just ordered this skirt in the Orange/ brown pattern

Rapunzel88 · 26/02/2015 21:44

and also these trousers in "curry". Definitely the colour of the turmeric in my kitchen cupboard!

Karbea · 26/02/2015 23:22

Hello,
I had my style day today and I'm a natural ingenue, vibrant autumn.
It was really interesting, but obviously another complexity to add to my shopping experiences although I think I probably was picking things that suit that style a lot of the time anyway.

cheminotte · 28/02/2015 21:37

Bought this jacket
shop.mango.com/GB/p0/women/clothing/jackets/structured-jacket/?id=41070158_89&n=1&s=prendas.chaquetas&ident=0__0_1425158855616&ts=1425158855616

and tried on this dress
shop.mango.com/GB/p0/women/clothing/pleat-printed-dress/?id=41015697_43&n=1&s=prendas&ident=0__0_1425158855616&ts=1425158855616

But it was too unfitted Aka shapeless for me. Also bought a grey dress but can't find it.
Still looking for the elusive not black / navy / grey suit.

MarthaCostello · 11/03/2015 19:01

Saw a couple of nice t-shirts in M&S the other day so I popped in to try them on today and they were already in the sale! Shock I realised why when I tried them on, as they're not brilliant quality. But I love the colours and they seem to tone in with my swatches, I will probably only be wearing them under layers for a little while yet, so worth it for £8 each :)

"Tan" modal blend short sleeve top definitely not tan, more of an orange

Sienna modal blend short sleeve top quite close to 28 in the wallet, sorry I don't have my other booklet to hand so not sure what name the colour is, but it's a mustard type colour

Looking for the links just now I spotted some other nice things on the M&S website, also in the sale. I'm a bit wary of M&S as so many things turn out to be a bit odd in real life Hmm but might order some bits and return if necessary...

I love this no peep animal print shirt, but I probably already have too much leopard print Blush

V neck front zip top I'm tempted by the teal, but I already have lots of teal, might go for the tangerine though, or perhaps even the lime, my laptop screen has gone a bit funny nothing to do with me dropping it, I'm sure so I can't really tell if it's a suitable autumn colour or not, perhaps similar to 23 in the wallet?

Tangerine chiffon trim camisole

This wouldn't suit me, but it's absolutely gorgeous, not sure if it is anyone's style? Brandy pure silk collared neck blouse

Jade self striped double layer top

I'm finding myself wearing the same outfits over and over, partly because of the weather I think, and I've been quite uncomfortable recently so wearing looser things. Every time I plan to book my style day I end up having another bout of troublesome symptoms Angry but hopefully I will do that soon!

Anyway, I hope everyone is well :)

JenniMoo · 13/03/2015 16:02

Im planning to get a pair if saltwater sandals, as need something really comfy for summer. I know the sensible colour is the tan, but would any of the other colours tone with the autumn palete, do you think? I rather like the purple...

MarthaCostello · 13/03/2015 16:23

I'd be tempted by the gold Grin or maybe the orange or lime... I just cannot judge purples so I steer clear of them Confused

nevergooglebrandybutter · 13/03/2015 16:27

I though M&S looked like it had quite a few good autumn colours in right now too.

JenniMoo · 13/03/2015 16:45

Martha - I avoid purple too, it's so difficult to judge, especially online. However, it's one of my favourite colours and one of my ** colours...

MarthaCostello · 13/03/2015 19:45

Jenni I think that one would pass as an autumn one, although it's hard to tell on the screen. I reckon if you like it, go for it, as at least your feet are furthest from your face so you can probably be a bit more flexible about the colours anyway :) but hopefully one of the more expert autumns will be along soon!

MarthaCostello · 13/03/2015 19:48

Oooh! I've had a brainwave. I was looking at the autumn lipsticks on the HoC website yesterday and they also have this scarf with purple bits. I think that purple looks quite close to the sandals? When I saw it I thought that it might be a handy reference for purples in future. I can't believe I'd already forgotten about it! Blush

JenniMoo · 14/03/2015 02:12

Thanks Martha, they do look similar.

mowglik · 14/03/2015 22:34

Hi guys I had occasion to wear a blazer to a daytime event and realised a black one was the only one I had! What kind of blazer colours would look good for an autumn? I really like grey Blazers but don't think they work for autumns? I'm a blue autumn I think..

Karbea · 14/03/2015 22:48

mowglik I've been getting lots of use out of my off white/ivory blazer, it looks good with browns and khakis.
You could do a red, orange, green lots of different colours!

MarthaCostello · 15/03/2015 10:00

I have a camel blazer, which goes with almost everything I would wear a blazer with, I wear it quite a lot. I also have a navy blue one, but it's not an autumn navy so not quite as good, I only wear that with my best colours to counteract the navy :)

Itscurtainsforyou · 15/03/2015 14:37

I have a cream-coloured blazer/jacket - it's the only light colour that looks ok on me so I think I'll be wearing it most of the summer Smile

I also have a moss green Mac and a camel coloured trench coat, which I love.

RockMummy · 15/03/2015 15:42

I have an olive green one and a tomato red one but am mostly too cold to wear them!

mowglik · 15/03/2015 20:11

Thanks I hadn't considered Ivory or off white, I'm looking for a daytime blazer so that might work..

Just feel like the usual autumny colours like camel or taupe might look boring on me as they aren't my best colours.. I would love a maroon one! But not really daytimey enough
