Come and join us for friendly fashion chat. Some of our glasses are empty because we're trying to loose weight, but were still happy, non judgemental, flippant and welcoming lot. We love new visitors (ESP Shop who will hug you)

I've just ordered those cheap leopard skater shoes from Next.
I think Amber has them.

I tried M&S's leopard ones which are nice, and I wasn't keen on their black pony ones.
I liked the ones in Gap but they're £40.

£18 for a passing fad is much better.
I think 40 bum has them too.

QueenCadbury · 01/04/2014 14:42

dry for you?. Looks a bit short and has the potential to be shapeless but I'm going to have a look at it next time I'm out.

I've done an hours light housework and now lying in bed recovering....

santamarianovella · 01/04/2014 15:02

Hope anyone who is ill feels better soon,

novice safe travels,

mara I love your description! yes I have long dark hair,

blair purse blog is very helpful, when it comes to buying bags, and addictive love looking at all those gorgeous bags,

I'm so glad I didn't get the Stella M dress yet, bought it using the liberty loyalty card event for %30 less! And since I was already looking for a light sweater, couldn't resist this one, so technically I didn't spend more than what dh decided I could get for our anniversary, and got a gorgeous sweater too. very proud of myself Wink
off to collect, will catch up properly later.

santamarianovella · 01/04/2014 15:23

Off to pick up* dcs! Blush ,should read proof my posts.

Drywhiteplease · 01/04/2014 15:31

QueenC love that dress! but sure it would be too short for me.

Just came home to my topless builders having a teabreak/sunbathe on my patio......didn't know where to look remember Johnny Depp look a like from last year?Grin am just having a cuppa to recover.

I loved the MU I went to. Was worried I'd fall down the stairs and so excited that I shrieked "hiiiiiiii" very loudly across the reastaurant not one for a quiet entrance loved meeting everyone, felt I'd known some of you for ages and can't wait for the next.Smile

Love love love that sweatshirt Santa.

I promise I'll post the dvds eventually

shopafrolic · 01/04/2014 16:01

Oh Santa great shopping! Fab top.
Dry sneaky FB pic? Your MU entrance was epic :)

MarshaBrady · 01/04/2014 16:34

Dry Ha that made me laugh. I had a stair thing at one.

Santa fabulous shopping, I'm going to have a look this week. But am gradually working up to finding the dress.

Blair chatty and prosecco - you know you'll fit right in don't you. Wink .

shopafrolic · 01/04/2014 16:54

Stair thing also epic Grin

Fedupnagging · 01/04/2014 16:55

Aarghhhh. Hve just lost a long post with links and everything. No time to re do.

Interesting the picture we get of each other so will be great to finally meet up. I have the idea that everyone is tall and impeccably 'turned out'. Guess that might not be the case after a few glasses of fizz though!

Grin Dry. Our last builders looked like Steptoe & Son so hoping the guys fitting our new windows soon are more like the coke advert. some hope.

libertychick · 01/04/2014 17:09

Gosh I'm certainly not 'impeccably turned out' or tall!! So true about Novice's bling looking understated on her - hard to explain but it suits her perfectly and doesn't look at all overdone.

I nearly had a nervous breakdown before the first MU I went to - mostly because it was such a hot day and I really don't do summer dressing very well and I go bright red, burn easily, get swollen digits in the heat and v minor levels of sweat or humidity turn my hair into a frizz ball Knocking back the prosecco very quickly is the only way to go Grin

I have ordered and returned so many clothes in the last week - too many to link NOTHING suits me anymore.

Drywhiteplease · 01/04/2014 17:09

Fedup I'm short but people think I'm taller, think it's the loud voice

Sleepwhenidie · 01/04/2014 17:13

quick hello, loving all the talk of MU. Have we got a venue yet? Maybe somewhere with potential outside table (optimistic for more sunshine Smile?

Drywhiteplease · 01/04/2014 17:15

liberty I feel your pain.....in the last week I have ordered:

Asos plastic dress.....returned
8pairs Boden trousers.....returned
One Navy HoF party dress.....returned
French connection navy trench......comes up HUGE, returned waiting for size 6 Shock Shock there is NO WAY I am a 6 EVER!
2 Oasis floral skirts.....will most certainly return one if not both.
2 Boden dresses I failed to mention on here because they're not exciting but very useful....if I keep them

I can't keep up, I may need a spread sheet if I knew how to do them

Need to calm down....I blame Amber for mentioning the Disco, then demonstrating how you can SAVE up for something....now I've done it, I'm going a bit bonkers Sad

Lol Dry Grin

We had an electrician visit our office last year who we refer to as "the diet coke man". He hasn't been back, I guess our staring/nudging each other and squealing once he'd left the room scared him off :(

Gorgeous sweatshirt santa, well done on the discount.

Have just organised a work do for a couple of weeks time, I want to wear a nice pencil skirt and casual top but suddenly I don't like any of my clothes anyone else get this?!?! (Silly question maybe!)

liberty I'm sure that's not really the case! What are you looking for? :)

shopafrolic · 01/04/2014 17:19

Bloody hell Dry - why not save for a pair of Loubs instead? :)
Liberty that hot day was a nightmare trying to look stylish! You're right - drinking was the only way.
No venue yet Sleep not sure who's in charge this time.....
Liberty you look fab. Wine

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 01/04/2014 17:21

The previous "lol Dry" was re the MU entrance! But omg that is a lot of shopping.

I have spreadsheets... I love them! Love lists really.

libertychick · 01/04/2014 17:23

Strange isn't it Confused
In addition to all the returns I have also been to Gap, Monsoon, Next, J Crew, Whistles, Boden and Cos over the last two weeks and absolutely nothing seemed to work on me. I have one new top to show for it all.

maradesbois · 01/04/2014 17:24

Love your descriptions of first mu nerves/stair negotiation etc! Am really looking forward to it.

liberty you sound like me re swollen fingers and frizzy hair issues! I picture you very polished though. What hair taming products do you use? I read about this babyliss brush in India knight's st beauty column that is supposed to remove all frizz without making hair poker straight. It was £30 I think so am probably going to try it.

anni good price for skate shoes, I wouldn't put too much money into something that's fashionable right now either.

santa fab shopping! Gorgeous dress and a bonus discount. There is some new stella on outnet today but nothing that grabbed me.

libertychick · 01/04/2014 17:26

Blair you have hit the nail on the head! I don't know what I am looking for Grin 'something lovely' is the best I can come up with!!!
I need a spreadsheet - I kept one last year but it made me way to conscious of how much I was spending.

libertychick · 01/04/2014 17:28

I want that hairbrush Mara, I want it so much. My local Boots have informed me they will have it on the 12th April Smile

and I am really not polished Grin

MarshaBrady · 01/04/2014 17:29

Blinking asos. Still nothing and no number. Twitter or fb. Had a look at twitter and it's practically another language. Am in Umlauf's 'deets' pain. I need a normal speaking person. (Was it Umlauf?)

Yes to some where sunny. Will contemplate.

Am seeing on a thousand chicks, ok 20 but feels like it.

Drywhiteplease · 01/04/2014 17:30

Yes Shop I have a problem....lots of "small" bits, try hard to resist and am supposed to be just buying one fabulous thing a month......I keep trying, but I'm a bloody nightmare, think I need a goal every month or therapy. I'm a bit shocked at the list.....I'm too impulsive generally. Bother.

libertychick · 01/04/2014 17:31

Oh and on hair products, I have gone 'silcone free' as in the curly girl method. Using Body shop rainforest shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner and Boots Naked Curl Cream and serum - working reasonably well so far.
