Come and join us for friendly fashion chat. Some of our glasses are empty because we're trying to loose weight, but were still happy, non judgemental, flippant and welcoming lot. We love new visitors (ESP Shop who will hug you)

Perhaps I should take up motivational speaking as a second career.

My pencil skirt will be worn (a LOT, to get CPW down!) with heels. I would look stumpy otherwise.

Grumpy the TB dress is gorgeous and I hope you find a way to make it work even if you have to get it tailored. I love florals this time of year. ("Florals? For spring? How original!")

One the silver jewellery sounds perfect for you, how sweet of him :)

How old is DD Dry? I think all teen girls go through a boy band phase while knowing nothing about the world. Blushing remembering.

MarshaBrady · 06/04/2014 18:27

Lol Blair I got that. Grin

One lovely present.

Dry have another chat, you can patch it up.

Drywhiteplease · 06/04/2014 18:30

It's all sorted Marsha. I was the same about Duran Duran Shock Grin......Blair she's 13 and lovely really.

Dry am sure you are a great mother- a crap mother wouldn't care and you obviously do. Fwiw, aren't most teenagers like that? All my 3 ds's are/have been more interested in anything but academic work.

Think kitten heels will look fab with the skirts. Also wonder if the boden pointy flats would work too?

MarshaBrady · 06/04/2014 18:38

Goodo Smile. I think it's normal to have little clashes, it's the stuff you say next that makes things better. I sometimes give ds a hard time over homework and he's only 9.

Fedupnagging · 06/04/2014 18:40

Just realised you didn't say you were a crap mother Blush Dry. My apologies. Never the less, my sentiments remain the same.

Drywhiteplease · 06/04/2014 18:42

fedup that's what I'm going to try.....silver ones

Oops, yes you did say. Obviously didn't read your post properly. I have them in navy but not worn them out yet. Waiting for the nicer weather.

Turquoiseblue · 06/04/2014 19:02

Marsha - I did a wardrobe clear out at the weekend - have a Saba black silk skirt I couldn't throw lol! It s actually a keeper. I loved lots of Aussie brands, actually still do some. Sass and bide jeans still a fave.

Sleepwhenidie · 06/04/2014 19:02

All sounds very normal Dry Smile. It's a very good thing neither of you are sulkers my mum really is and it was a nightmare.

Santa we need to go quirky/funky rather than traditional coastal. For some bizarre reason the vendors installed a glossy black/white kitchen (still new), grey slate flooring, white walls, white moulded dining table and chairs, grey sofas.... it's far too cold and hard edged. We will be renting it out and the agent thinks it doesn't get as many bookings as it should because of this, added to which that's not our taste either. We can't change the floor or kitchen but will get new sofas, rug, dining table and are considering painting walls with colour. Cushions, curtains etc of course. My starting point is on the wall already, a Hang It All!

SecretSquirrel13 · 06/04/2014 19:16

Sleep is it in the town itself? I live it there.

SecretSquirrel13 · 06/04/2014 19:16

Love it not live it!

Sleepwhenidie · 06/04/2014 19:21

It is right next to Porthmeor Beach Secret, we love the town too, we usually spend 2-3 weeks a year there, mostly at the same time as DH's parents and DSis and family Smile. Will be lovely having our own little place, even though we've bought it as an investment more than as a holiday home.

SecretSquirrel13 · 06/04/2014 19:24

Oh you're so lucky, can sit and watch the kite surfers! We do a similar family holiday thing with dh family who have a cabin in the mountains, I like to think the dc will grow up with good childhood holiday memories as both dh and I did.

Sleepwhenidie · 06/04/2014 19:32

Smile, us too...DH grew up spending summers there and pictures our dc's as (older) teens being able to go down there in holidays and stay there (lucky dc's, I would have loved that in my late teens!)

Turquoiseblue · 06/04/2014 21:46

Sounds lovely sleep and secret, really lovely.

Amber sorry only reading properly through now, my 10k is in June. I used run lots but stopped after dc. I tend to mix it up with cycling swimming Pilates now running makes me a bit ach-y but I do a little to keep it as an option for when I ve no bike or pool. What are you aiming for?
Dry - good you ve got the communication channels open.

MarshaBrady · 06/04/2014 22:12

Turq the oldest thing in my wardrobe is a Saba jacket, part of a suit. The first and only one I bought for work. It wasn't a bad one considering, cigarette pant and slimline.

Just started watching House of Cards, Kevin Spacey etc. So, so good.

AmberNectarine · 06/04/2014 22:28

Turq in an ideal world sub-60 but I'll settle for sub-70 for now. Have got arthritis in my knees so feel you on the aches!

Turquoiseblue · 06/04/2014 22:48

Ha ! Snap! Dh and I on season 2 episode 7 tonight .....

Turquoiseblue · 06/04/2014 22:50

Pin reckon I d be happy with sub 70 too these days amber, swimming is so much nicer. I feel so creaky when I run :) I like my nike s though.

MarshaBrady · 07/04/2014 08:20

The blond, Claire is it, has an amazing wardrobe. She looks a million dollars.

Anyone wearing a skirt today for work. Are you doing tights or no tights?

Drywhiteplease · 07/04/2014 09:09

Apologies for yesterday's whinging about kids....overall they're very good kids, I just occasionally want to kill them Smile... Normal service will resume.

marsha I'd get them out if mine weren't blue/pasty

First day of the holidays and I'm slobbing at least I'm dressed .off to Next later to check out their version of a Boden silver sling backs Amber and eve WO have both mentioned them and I appear to have £14 credit at Next Confused think I could put up with plastic shoes for £12!!!

I realize this goes totally against my resolution to buy quality classics but hey ho.......will report back can't resist a bargain

marsha " but Dry it's not a bargain if it's crap"
I know, I know .......

MarshaBrady · 07/04/2014 09:23

Dry we all have moments, I get cross then look at nice pics to calm. But we know your dc are ace, they are like you after all.

Also bargain - go for it. I did it with the Toast flats as they were £12. You've just got to sometimes.

Went for tights and scarf plus cotton navy gryphon peacoat, with Sandro dress and Bruno boots (so cheap I bought nothing in the end!) why does it always rain when I work. Lugging umbrella, a4 folder and bag argh. I feel over accessorised.

MarshaBrady · 07/04/2014 09:33

I'll add a Smile to after all. Lugging too much stuff to do emoticons and post.
