My alarm goes off at 6 most days but that extra half an hour really makes a difference.

I am definitely a classic dresser and I love a great handbag. I am not fair though. Well my skin is but not my hair.

Wearing my Jimmies today with a blue Hush LS tee and my red patent quilted ballet flats when I go out later. Might need to find some bracelets to make this outfit less boring. Yawn.

mara almost right! I'm blonde but mid length although would love long waves! I'm not quite boho but do have a girly style of floaty blouse but usually with jeans.

Like shop I don't tend to imagine any of you anymore. I'd seen photos of a few people and marsha was pretty much as expected. novice was totally different- although blinged up it was in a subtle way (which I prefer) rather than full on which I was expecting.

I've decided that I must have tonsillitis as still feeling v rough and it's like I've felt before. I keep obsessively checking my tonsils for white dots so I can have antibiotics as I know they'd make me feel better within hours.

Morning all. Still ill here but I have to go out to appointments and stuff which I'm not looking forward to. It's the wiped out feeling that's the worst, I feel like I could sleep forever. DP is having a great time in NYC, I'm so jealous!

QUeenC I'm checking for white dots too. Need to be better before holiday on Friday but I know if I head for the docs they'll tell me it's viral. Coughing like a barking seal and DS is still a bag of snot. Not very Vogue-like at all in the Shop house today :(

dd2 has hideous hacking cough and was up every hour from 10-2 & ended up in bed with us at 5. Hoping I don't pick it up as have child-free night away at friend's 40th on Sat after dd2's birthday on sat afternoon.

So the Erdem dress arrived, and sadly it's not a keeper. Think I am just too curvy for it, tight across boobs and hips and loose around shoulders and waist, and a bit too high-cut at the top. Anyone out there with a slim boyish figure, it would be lovely.

But the &Other Stories one is great, got it in black - loved the orange too Marsha but washed me out a bit. Very versatile, girls night out, daytime bbq, maybe even work? Recommend it.

Ah boo Stokey, but always good to do a try on and good to know what you thought. Great re other stories.

QueenC, yes it's quite hard to describe my bling and say it's subtle. Even though it is, it doesn't sound it. Today is blingtastic - I am wearing Tiffany 1ct studs, the sapphire and diamond pendant, 1.5ct Tiffany engagement ring (plus wedding band!) boodles raindance ring and 2ct tennis bracelet. Oh and Hermes Heure diamond watch. It sounds all too much but my "outfit" is a long tee by crew skinny and banana republic beige skinny cords - it somewhat dilutes the bling effect

When I went to my first MU, I was expecting Marsha to be long blond and leggy and she was, I thought Shop was dark haired but didn't realise she was leggy too and Sleep was more rock chic than I expected. She was wearing the most fierce shoes from Zara. Everyone was also very stylish but not overly "done" and just so "normal" ie exactly how they come across on here. That's proven to be the case at all the MU.

I still remember being terrified and necking booze at an alarming rate when we were the first at the table Novice

I went to bed after last posting and have just woken up. This is despite a full nights sleep last night. shop we also go away on Friday so don't want to still be ill. I've never had viral tonsillitis before so no idea how long it'll last.

novice is right wrt mu. Everyone on here knows their style and so whatever they wear suits them. I love that. I could never wear shops heels but equally she'd look rubbish in my blouses

Hi all! Been busy, hope everyone had a lovely weekend and that you were all spoilt on Mother's Day.

mara your "description" of me made me smile, it's nice to know you see me like that! I don't have long hair though, has been shoulder length for a couple of years but have actually been thinking of growing it again :)

I think I will be terrified at first MU. I'll probably be the one who gets drunk first out of nerves and starts talking really loudly.

Haven't done any shopping. I read some bad stuff about the quality of Reed Krakoff bags on the purseblog forum over the weekend and it's made me uncertain again. Now thinking about a Pashli again for £300 less...
