It's been a while since I set one up so thought I'd do the honours.
For glass half full fashion fanatics. Bring a positive attitude, a love of clothes and lots of lovely links. All welcome, from high street to high end.

Justa thanks so much for all the leopard slipper suggestions. Think R and B are my fav still, like the Dune ones. Will have a ponder.
I'm being influenced by the NB trend too...all over blogs too.
just convinced BIL that our guinea pig had escaped, we've been looking all over the downstairs for her, she's in her run but I'm not telling him that, a simple pleasures

Evening all - Mara - slightly biased

Welcome back Marsha, novice - hips the flights were ok.
Dd got accepted into school - hooray. She s so excited.
Bid on house- fingers x d!
Pinot Noir in hand .... It s Friday .... Exhale

Turquoiseblue · 21/02/2014 22:56

Hope not hips

QueenCadbury · 22/02/2014 06:15

The downside of potty training is that dd woke up at 6 saying she needed a wee...

I love the NBs too but I don't think they'd suit me

BrandyAlexander · 22/02/2014 07:35

Ah QueenC. Yes, we had a few weeks months of that! Now ds wakes up between 5 and 6 having kicked off his blankets in the night, feeling cold.Hmm

I was shattered last night! Hope Marsha feels better than I did. I didn't think much of the film selection on my flight and only watched Gravity, which I thought was okay but didn't feel as I watching an Oscar worthy "Best Picture" film.

Today is a work day, I am entertaining clients at Twickenham. Bloomin' nightmare balance of being stylish and warm. Think White Company cashmere skinnies, banana republic brown skinny cords might do it. I wish I had biker boots. They would be perfect for today!

Fedupnagging · 22/02/2014 08:35

For Dry. I love the greenish/yellow colourway too.

Sad to Queen and Novice with your rather early am starts. They will pass - eventually!

Novice you seem to have a hectic work schedule. Hope you like watching rugby? Dh is going - he is a massive rugby fan. He will be very pissed merry by the time he gets home!

shopafrolic · 22/02/2014 08:51

Turquoise that's great news! Congrats DD and fingers crossed on the house.
Enjoy the thighs Novice (all I look at when watching rugby)

Morning!

queenc we put a potty in the bedroom for nighttime or early morning wee. Sometimes it works!

Hope you all have a good weekend. Sun is shining here, off to a birthday party then airport en route to find some snow. Would rather be heading to Barbados but you can't have everything. Linus saw you mentioned about starting skiing at 3. Do you know if its usual be able to get lessons/rent equipment for that age (in France/Switzerland)? Last year I was told by an instructor that about 50% of children are ready to start at 3 but all at 4 so not sure whether to try or stick to sledging.

Annianni · 22/02/2014 10:23

Decam your le Pliage is packed. 3 changes of clothes for DS - going out for lunch with the ILs. First proper trip out - wish me luck! At least I have extra pairs of hands if there is an accident.
Dinner out tonight too so will need to have a salad for lunch!

Meant to say, Hush shorts have arrived - they're lovely and soft and distressed. V high at the back, need to try them with the right top and footwear but I think they're keepers.

shop I'm about to brave lunch out too.

My dh is also at twickenham. I get the joy of picking him up from the train station tonight when he gets home.

santamarianovella · 22/02/2014 11:47

shop good luck,

mara we've,been taking dcs skiing everyday now,we visited several skiing resorts, around the French boarder, and where we are ATM,,I see lots of small kids training, but the recommended age is 4, renting is very expensive,so buying second hand is better, and I recommend not buying cheap knock offs as they are not sturdy or safe, some places have little snow,we are told that it would be better next week.

justa have you considered Croatia as an option for holiday? I went there about 10 years ago and loved it.

LinusDKD · 22/02/2014 11:50

Well done TurqJR!

shop good luck on your outing today!

mara most locals take their DC skiing at 3 but, then again, they go most weekends so it's part of their way of life and not something you do one week per year.

Not sure about renting equipment but classes are definitely available for the little ones. Maybe check out the French and Swiss associations of ski schools?

We bought DD her first shoes at Pom D'api today. She's really growing up!

Had a look at the Céline shop window but DH was dragging me along so couldn't go in to see the cobalt hobo bag. Sad

LinusDKD · 22/02/2014 11:58

Who was looking for yellow for summer?

I love this coat but I think the style would swamp me.

I am really looking forward to wearing my yellow breton and yellow Nano again. My colour discovery of last summer: yellow.

santamarianovella · 22/02/2014 12:07

linus,I saw several nanos here, one was in a beautiful grey and black,

BrandyAlexander · 22/02/2014 12:07

Good luck Shop!Thanks

Am on way to Twickenham. I love love love my outfit as pre MNV I was crap at pulling together the smart casual look. So with apologies for the very full description....

Wearing Me&Em basic long tee under a white company beige cashmere sweater with sand coloured banana republic skinny cords. My sister bought me a joules (I think) fitted padded jacket for my birthday so I am wearing that as well as my Russell & Bromley (Aquatalia) brown riding boots. My splash of colour is from the first use of the Proenza Schouler ps13 blue suede tote. Grin Accessories are tiffany studs (lazy, haven't taken them off from last Saturday) the aquamarine and diamond wempe cocktail ring and the blue oasis (or Accessorize?) bracelet that I am totally in love with at the moment (cost me about a fiver and have had it about 15 years, love stuff like that!).

Oh, I smell of grapefruit as I spilled the Jo Malone grapefruit cologne on me.Blush

BrandyAlexander · 22/02/2014 12:17

Linus that's gorgeous but Shock at the price!!

I meant to say to Fedup.... I have had the last 2 months "off" my usual work life to recharge batteries, so this has been quiet for me. I do one long haul and one short haul each month so it can be v hectic. Eg I might have to go to Sydney for one day of meetings and I am trying to work out whether I go along with it or try and get out of it on the basis it's insane!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 22/02/2014 12:23

You to to Sydney for ONE day? Wow!!!

Saturday morning confession...I have just bought a mini Pashli with gold detail. Keep telling myself that I don't need it but it is oh so pretty sitting on my sofa staring back at me...

BecauseIsaidS0 · 22/02/2014 12:23

That was meant to be 'go to'

BecauseIsaidS0 · 22/02/2014 12:30

Linus, I saw this gorgeous yellow dress in Whistles the other day.

santamarianovella · 22/02/2014 12:33

novice that's a bit insane Shock,

because which color?

BecauseIsaidS0 · 22/02/2014 12:40

Black with gold panel.

MN Vogue - vol 34
santamarianovella · 22/02/2014 12:49

Good one because, novice and amber love them,

BrandyAlexander · 22/02/2014 12:58

Yes, I know its insane! Fly Sunday night, get there Tuesday lunch time, meetings on Wed and Thursday. leave Sydney Thursday pm and get back Friday morning. It would mean the dcs wouldn't see me for 4 days but anything else would prolong the time I am away from home.

The Pashli is lovely.Envy I would love to see the mini in real life. I think I will eventually get the medium size one. The large i got only works for business trips. Day to day it's too big. Lucky you!
