It's been a while since I set one up so thought I'd do the honours.
For glass half full fashion fanatics. Bring a positive attitude, a love of clothes and lots of lovely links. All welcome, from high street to high end.

Mara that is a good price for my ones. The animal hair on them makes them difficult to import so I think I got mine for around £70 in the Anna sale. Lovely and soft leather too. Some people mentioned some if the single colours are less soft but I don't know that for sure. Love that everyone is thinking of the sun. :)

Ooooh sun sun sun.....and it was super frosty this morning with snow forecast Shock

MarshaBrady · 28/02/2014 17:15

My goodness I don't know what happened today but it dragged. Perhaps it's because it's the first time in weeks I've been with ds2 and not been swimming. Will go Monday for sure.

Umlauf every commiseration re the car. We had a hit of £500 for our Saab in Jan and it was so annoying. I thought very seriously about getting rid of it, but it's in last chance saloon.

Mig lovely cake and sorry to hear about family troubles everyone who is having them. It is so upsetting when people in the family try to hurt or undermine one another. It's crazy.

Justa Love that jacket.

Can definitely see Grumpy in the Maje suit and looking amazing.

Blair great news on the windfall! Love the bag.

Decam I wanted those too ages ago, haven't got around to it yet however! They are lovely.

Annianni · 28/02/2014 17:17

The cheapest gigis I've seen recently were on amazon, ebay and Shopbop.

MarshaBrady · 28/02/2014 17:20

I also need to decide what to wear for the dinner thing. If I had the Liberty voucher I'd be tempted to buy something. But I suppose I should look at wardrobe.

Feeling very uninspired. This Lanvin is too formal, do you think?

MarshaBrady · 28/02/2014 17:23

I also have this Halston cashmere\silk dress but it's a bit look at me I'm wearing a red dress.

So perhaps the Lanvin, I should use every excuse I can to wear it. But where I am going sounds trendy rather than classic.

MarshaBrady · 28/02/2014 17:23

cashmere/silk

Annianni · 28/02/2014 17:24

Ds1 has cut a huge chunk out of his fringe (he's 10) because he wanted to look at his hair under his microscope bloody idiot

Do I...
Punish him (usually means loss of laptop/nexus/xbox)
Or leave him to walk round looking like a pillock?

Other suggestions welcome...

MarshaBrady · 28/02/2014 17:24

Anni like the sounds of the bright neon bag.

Can't join in the Gigi talk I'm afraid, one of the very few who do not have them!

Bonsoir · 28/02/2014 17:27

Marsha - I think your Lanvin dress is beautiful and you can dress it down with some new pointy flats in silver to make it a bit less formal.

I had a fabulous day yesterday - DD and I did a day return to Nancy to look at Art Nouveau and some other things - but we are both shattered today and so I'm bored! School is back on Monday - probably a good thing.

Annianni · 28/02/2014 17:28

I vote Lanvin Marsha, that dress is beautiful.

MarshaBrady · 28/02/2014 17:41

Thanks Bonsoir and Anni. Great, I was hoping it would be that one. Looking forward to it more now I know what I'm wearing.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/02/2014 17:45

Thirding the Lanvin Marsha, was going to ask about dressing it down/trendying it up but I love bonsoir's idea of silver flats. Not sure I have any better ideas! What is the dinner thing? :)

Oh dear Anni, couldn't help laughing! Is he bothered? I'd have thought the realisation of what he's done would be punishment enough, unless he doesn't care of course!

MarshaBrady · 28/02/2014 17:57

Blair dinner thing at Sketch. It's probably quite clubby, but not sure if I will be too out of place.

Bonsoir · 28/02/2014 18:26

Sounds lovely, Marsha. I've got shoes on the brain as I need some for two parties that are coming up - one a Bar Mitzvah where we will be seated at the top table and the other a friend's 50th which will be intimate (20 people) and über glam as her husband has rented the private room at Monsieur Bleu and we need to do her justice! I need some shoes that are gold and not too high...

Annianni · 28/02/2014 18:29

He's not in the least bit bothered Blair.
I noticed this morning that his hair looked wonky, and I asked if someone had cut it and he said no...

I asked him again earlier if he'd cut it, and he said no...

Then I realised what must have happened and he finally admitted it.

It looks ridiculous :o
I'm tempted to just leave it uneven, might make him think twice about doing it again.

I'm not amused that he lied twice though.

Have a fab evening Marsha.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/02/2014 18:33

Ooh sounds fun Marsha. I'm sure you won't be out of place, I think the pleats and the belt detail on the dress (which is gorgeous!) will mean you can dress it down a bit, it looks really versatile. Maybe a bright and fun accessory or 2? Main thing is probably the shoes though, and casual hair.

Anni hehe. I see what you mean about the punishment now, if he lied! Hope the microscope experiment was worth it :)

LinusDKD · 28/02/2014 18:54

marsha that Lanvin dress is gorgeous and would look good at Sketch.

bonsoir if you like Art Nouveau and visit Brussels regularly, there are some gorgeous AN buildings in Brussels.

Some of it has been destroyed by over zealous town developers in the '80 but what's left is worth visiting. But maybe you already have.

anni I couldn't help giggling a bit when I read about DS1 but you're right, lying about it is not good.

Very tempted by navy Gigis as I lived in my red pair and my cobalt pair last summer. The cobalts carried me allover NYC and were super comfortable.

justasecond · 28/02/2014 18:59

Mara I really wanted the Trina sandals too on The Outnet but gone in my size Sad I really wanted them last year actually but didn't want to pay more than about 65 for them. If anyone spots a bargain pair in any colour in size 7 you know where I am!
I like the gigis on others but not for me I am not sure my feet are up to it.In fact I don't really do sandals at all.
Blair those Reed Krakoff bags look amazing! and have fun spending your winnings!
Decam lovely F&B boots.
Marsha both dresses are stunning but I think go for the Lanvin.

maradesbois · 28/02/2014 19:15

dry am sure you look fab in your gold gigis, I am drawn to them but not sure if am brave enough. Maybe will think about the silver, perhaps easier to wear with my wardrobe. Your orange ones were an amazing bargain! Will have a good shoe hunt tmw and let you know how I get on.

Got to sign off now, going into a Shakespeare play, nice to be at the theatre for something other than dc related!

Btw marsha amazing lanvin dress, needs an airing!

Bonsoir · 28/02/2014 19:33

Linus - I love Brussels Art Nouveau - I am planning to take DD soon!

shopafrolic · 28/02/2014 19:46

I don't know what possessed me! I FaceTimed with Dry with no make up on! Who knew I had such a moon face until I saw it in my phone screen staring back at me. And her family were eating! So sorry.....
anni my niece cut all her fringe off because she didn't want to wait for it to grow out. She had also shaved an eyebrow before now. I say fair play to him for his inquisitive mind! But then I am rubbish at consistent discipline
marsha is it tonight. Another vote for Lanvin

Thanks everyone.

Shop it's next week but wanted to check I didn't have to order something. Babysitter booked. Has been ages, we are so used to the gps or doing lunch and using the nursery had to try and not feel stingy!

Drywhiteplease · 28/02/2014 20:56

Errrrr Shop I'm seriously considering the Botox after checking myself after with glasses onGrin but, as I told you, I didn't have my glasses on....we both looked great!!!!!

Drywhiteplease · 28/02/2014 20:58

Marsha I've always adored your Lanvin dress, I think it's incredibly gorgeous. You will look stunning whatever you wear ESP with your tan Envy
