It's been a while since I set one up so thought I'd do the honours.
For glass half full fashion fanatics. Bring a positive attitude, a love of clothes and lots of lovely links. All welcome, from high street to high end.

shop and umlauf love those sandals. I was considering buying these ones yesterday but spent too much time dithering and planning spring/summer wardrobe on pin and now they've sold out in my size Sad.

Have also pinned the gigis in navy and gold but not sure if the metallics are too blingy in rl. What do you think?

Umlauf · 28/02/2014 11:47

marades I have both... It's hard to say as my navy's are newer but I think I prefer the matte leather, the gold ones are really shiny, but then I'm not a very blingy person at all, so it could just be me. Also, I associate the summer of the gold Gigi's with being heavily pregnant so didn't have much scope to style them. I like them with boyfriend jeans though, and they we're a great alternative to heels on holiday. The navy ones are a very greyish navy IRL.

Annianni · 28/02/2014 11:49

I got silver Gigis last year Maradesbois and wore them loads.

So... my no spend thing is going really well, dh will be so pleased...
I've just been back to my new favourite shop and got those Jalouse that I tried earlier in the week for £39.
I'll pin some photos for opinions... If it's a no, then they're going on ebay!

I also got a free Smashbox foundation from Boots, after seeing a thread on here. Never tried their products before, but I will if they're giving them away :o

Annianni · 28/02/2014 12:16

Help on Pin please...

shopafrolic · 28/02/2014 13:11

Turquoise I'm loving the iPhone thanks. Really user friendly (everything else we own is already Apple so it was only a matter of time....). iMessage is fab too, especially as I was mourning the loss of BBM. Just need to start using the camera now.
Umlauf glad you liked the sandals, love it when I get it right
Mara the gold are very shiny I think. I have these ones with a bit less gold on which i wore loads last summer
Anni bargainous Jalouse!

Mig what was that link you posted at 10.49? I clicked on it and got some weird stuff about cleaning my Mac appear on my screen so exited swiftly.
Saw this article and thought of you.

Hi all

Hope I'm wrong but that didn't look like a regular mig post - haven't clicked it after shop's warning!

Love the F&B boots Decam, lovely smoky colour. Also beautiful necklace. I love keeping lists of what I want to buy (and pin of course), helps me avoid wasting money (or at least I imagine it does...!).

Metallic gigis sound right up my street. I think one of the things I will need to buy before summer is a new pair of sandals but I'm trying to be good at the moment as I bought 7 things in Feb. Want to save a bit for hols now.

LinusDKD · 28/02/2014 14:04

shop I might have bought that baseball tee in three more colours today. Blush

For that price I couldn't resist and I can always wear them with my pj bottoms if they don't wash well.

LinusDKD · 28/02/2014 14:06

The link works for me, it's an overview (drawings) of all the dresses the Best Actress winners wore when they accepted their Oscar. Nothing dodgy!

SecretSquirrel13 · 28/02/2014 14:13

Hi all am still reading
I saw Mig's link eRlier, Oscar winners dresses thru the last 80 years is that right or are you all seeing sth else?

shopafrolic · 28/02/2014 14:15

I'm not clicking again just in case. No worries.....

Thanks for metallic gigis advice. Think I will just get the navy ones for now, was worried about how shiny the gold looked on the website & think they're probably not for me. Love your animal print ones however shop. They have some similar on theoutnet but again not my size.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 28/02/2014 14:22

Don't apologise to me about Joules Dry! Joules were actually equestrian outfitters before they drifted into fashion but I have never bought much from them, except for DDs when they were younger. Although I do have a black car coat with 3/4 sleeves that I bought in the sales after Christmas - not the least horsey and I only bought it because it looked so chic on my younger DSis who had it first. I did laugh at 'horsey pretenders' - I see quite a few of those around here!

Linus that jumpsuit is gorgeous (but then just about everything Maje is)

Had a dispatch notice from Ralph Lauren yesterday, but no sign of anything yet. My bag from Other Stories arrived today, but is going straight back - it's teeny! I knew it was 'handy' but it's really far too small and impractical. Pretty bag though.

SecretSquirrel13 · 28/02/2014 14:24

Grumpy I saw your horse bag in selfridges last weekend and thought of you!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/02/2014 14:28

Feel silly now, ignore me! Not on a mac so not sure what your message was shop. Cool link, it's interesting how dresses have got longer and more colourful.

maradesbois · 28/02/2014 14:43

Can anyone advise what is a good price for the gigis and where to buy the navy ones in uk? shop yours are on amazon for £46 which from what I can tell is a bargain. Can't find the navy ones anywhere except the main website where they're over £70 which seems a lot. Thanks

Annianni · 28/02/2014 14:45

Love those F&B's Decam.

Nice tees Linus.

Bad news on car-gate Umlauf Shock
I hate spending money on my car.

My AR order is here...
The free Becksondergaard bag is going back, black/dark straps would have been nice. It has tan ones that look vile with the plum.
The absolutely bonkers rather bright neon pink zatchel is a keeper. It'll be good for summer days out, at least the ds's will be able to spot me in a crowded place! :o

Drywhiteplease · 28/02/2014 14:45

Hehe!Grumpy loads of horsey pretenders here, often in Sainsburys funnily enough Hmm
Mara guess what? I have the GOLD Gigis because I'm just that sort of girl Grin they are very gold but I loved them last summer! went with everything. Anni if you could find me a bargainous silver pair I could do with upping the bling levels in my wardrobe!
Decam the main thing about that Mulberry bag that I think is great is the extending handle, so you can wear it cross body or as a shoulder bag. Wish more bags had that feature.
Secret PM!!!!

Drywhiteplease · 28/02/2014 14:47

Mara I bought some orange news recently (Anni is the Gigi bargain hunter) for under £15 inc p+p

Drywhiteplease · 28/02/2014 14:47

Orange "GIgis" not "news"!

Umlauf · 28/02/2014 14:54

Dry Shock and Envy my navy Gigi's were about £40 on shopbop but more like £70 with all the extra charges. To add insult to injury they forgot to charge me customs and had to come back a week later to demand money!

My gold ones were about £50 on amazon but that included postage.

dry I saw the Daria on a friend last week in London and it does look much better in the flesh than on pics I think! the leather is very soft which you can't always tell from a pic.

Umlauf · 28/02/2014 14:57

My AR order arrived too anni I am always amazed I can order with them and it arrive the next day in Spain! for free delivery especially as the blouse was free it isn't perfect but will do and hopefully satisfy my shopping needs for the month as cargate has stolen that from me!!!

We are driving to the alps next Friday so we do need a working car, so i suppose I'm begrudgingly grateful it was spotted in the service and didn't break down up a snowy mountain.

OneLittleLady · 28/02/2014 15:03

I'm exhausted, my sister's been round with my nieces and nephew. We had an indoor picnic, the older two did some colouring to stick on my fridge and we watched peppa pig and thomas. They loved the muffins I made so much they asked me to give their mum the recipe so she could make some for them at home Grin
