Grumpy, lovely bag!

Yay for the disco, Dry! I really like that shirt too.

Shop, hope you get your holiday sorted out. The Pliage is on the way - sorry, I meant to add a witty little note (!) but I was in the post office packaging it up and screeching at telling the kids not to knock over the display of cards.

Any other AH fans? I've just watched her fashion week show, fab. I lost my Gracie bag yesterday getting off the tube with the DDs, pushchair etc so hope I can claim the cost back on the insurance. :(

Have fun tonight, Linus. I think an Equipment slim signature shirt will be my next purchase. A friend is coming over from the US in March so going to have it delivered to her.

MarshaBrady · 19/02/2014 21:49

Dry excellent!

Ah Shop big hug. I hope you have somewhere new by now.

Aw thanks Mig it has been lovely but I am craving London a bit! And getting into SS and joining you all again on here.

libertychick · 19/02/2014 22:06

Shock at losing the Gracie Decam. How annoying. Hope you can claim the cost.

Drywhiteplease · 19/02/2014 22:20

Decam you lost your bag? Oh my god Shock that's terrible.....so sorry

MarshaBrady · 19/02/2014 22:22

Oh no Decam, hope you can claim (if you want to).

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 19/02/2014 22:23

Oh no Decam! Do you think there's any point calling lost property just in case?

liberty if you are thinking of going to the Birmingham guy, my sis didn't have to wait long for an appointment at all (1-2 weeks) and the cost of the cut was really reasonable, £45 or so IIRC.

shop hope you're feeling better. That house is beautiful, but I'm sure you'll find somewhere equally so. It's a lovely location to be looking in too :)

Well, the Bentley dress sold out in medium while I was still deciding (it was the red one on the Outnet - I loved how novice described it the other day!). So that's my decision made, and Stokey's post helped too so thank you. I don't need another party dress when I've only worn the Zarita once so far...

Bargain Uniqlo silk shirt arrived, of course it looks massive in S as they all do. I think someone mentioned the printed one yesterday...? Anyway the material is lovely. Will wear tomorrow!

LinusDKD · 19/02/2014 22:23

Just a quick post to give (((hugs))) to shop

Until two weeks ago I was washing dirty underwear on a daily basis (i.e. First soaking it in Ace Delicat for days and then washing it on nuclear).

It does get better eventually! And I really hope you get your holiday! You deserve it!!!!

Lovely dinner with friends. First time ever without our kids. DH said he hasn't had fun like that in ages. We should do it more often.....

Decameron · 19/02/2014 22:28

I have left my details with lost property but I don't think I have much chance of getting it back. I am usually so careful with my stuff, don't know what happened. We have personal property insurance so hopefully I can replace it.

Shame about the dress Blair but you will get more use out of the shirt.

Glad you are having a good holiday, Marsha.

justasecond · 19/02/2014 23:12

Poor you Decam hope you get it sorted with the insurance.
Shop I really feel for you, tt is the pits but hang in there believe it or not you have done the worst part already, will only get better from now. Ds was very reluctant to go on toilet and I had a lot of accidents for a few days, he kept saying he wanted a nappy back on and he even tried to put one on himself! Hope you find a holiday too.
Dry Gucci is gorgeous, when is the first outing? Also love the Zara shirt I have a v similar one to the yellow. Thanks to Mig it had its first outing paired with leopard print a couple of weeks ago after hanging in the cupboard with tags on for a year.
Liberty forgot to say I love your Boden parka too and what a bargain!
Blair that shirt was a bargain for silk. I was going to order the printed version but have resisted so far, may try to go into a store at the weekend and try on rather than the hassle of returns.
Ooh can someone pm me the gossip too, I am intrigued..

Fedupnagging · 19/02/2014 23:26

Hope you are feeling a little calmer now Shop and that you manage to find somewhere to go for your break. Some lovely places in Norfolk - Burnham Market for example.

Sorry you lost your bag Decam. Did it have all your bank cards etc in it?

Today got worse- ds2 (17) has just thrown up INSIDE the car when I picked him up. No drink or drugs involved so must have been a dodgy kebab! It was dh's car btw, not mine. small mercies

Hope tomorrow is a much better day for some of us.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 20/02/2014 07:04

I'm jet lagged so I have spent the last couple of hours reading my copy of Porter which I, of course, bought as soon as I got home! I really, really like it. It is so refreshing to find a magazine with actual CONTENT. I also like that it features women beyond fashion - liked the article about the finance lady (can't remember her name though). And for once, I got inspiration for shopping because I can never afford the £15k dresses I see in Vogue, don't want the tat I see in, eh, let's say Company, but there are many things in Porter I could afford with some judicious control of my spending.

Drywhiteplease · 20/02/2014 07:33

these are nice

shopafrolic · 20/02/2014 08:24

Morning all - DH says he'll look at other options (which basically means I'll still be nagging him next week). Those of you who don't know the history my DH is careful with our money tight, and getting him to spend money on holidays is like getting blood out of a stone. He bought me the iPhone last week and is now saying we can't afford what we had originally budgeted on the holiday. I said I'd send the bloody phone back! He promised we could have a break. If he doesn't stand by that I am sorely tempted to draw some cash out of an ISA and f@ck off to Barcelona leaving him with DS for the week he's off. We'll see.
Thanks to all of you for being so fab, and for the links to consider Dry and Liberty - you went beyond the call of duty as always Thanks
We had no accidents yesterday so I am hoping to leave the house at some point today

Decameron · 20/02/2014 08:50

Fedup, poor DS! No, luckily I had stuck my wallet in the kids' bag after buying their lunch. I still have the receipt for the bag.

Is it the regular size or the small Gracie, Shop? I had the regular size black. Sad My DH is a bit the same with holidays, says he doesn't see the point when they are little and until we buy our house so we have not gone away (except to Ireland which I don't count as that's to visit family!) for three years.

DD1 is walking around dressed in Victorian costume (for a school project next week), she looks hilarious.

shopafrolic · 20/02/2014 08:56

Gracie It's the mini Decam

Annianni · 20/02/2014 08:59

How awful Decam, were your house keys in the bag?
Hope by some miracle you get it back.

I have personal insurance, after adding up the contents of my bag (and jewellery) and watching dh go pale :o

(((Hugs))) for Shop.
And brill news if you've cracked tt.

Annianni · 20/02/2014 09:00

Why are you selling Gracie Shop?
She's lovely!

SecretSquirrel13 · 20/02/2014 09:02

Decam that is awful I hate the feeling of sudden panic when can't find keys, purse phone etc
Dry is the disco going out today?
Shop good news on the training you are doing so well. Sorry about the holiday I didn't quite get what you were saying re the deposit so sorry for assuming it was the deposit that was the issue, have sent pm

shopafrolic · 20/02/2014 09:03

I never use it Anni - Not big enough for daytime (I use my Zatchel), and not tough enough for me at night time. Plus, I could do with the cash TBH.

Drywhiteplease · 20/02/2014 09:10

Shop if you ever need a bolt hole you know where you are welcome Wink so much better than Barcelona Grin. Well done on potty training and good luck with the holiday search. Bag is on pin and FB

I'm really lazy today so am completely copying Kat from does my Bum......khaki skinnies, stone suede boots, cream top, camel coat, animal scarf.....wish I had her legs though Sad

Mignonette · 20/02/2014 09:17

Shop and Decam

What a horrid day for you both. Have you used Holiday East and Suffolk Secrets? They have some lovely boltholes. Walberswick, Westleton, Peasenhall are lovely villages on or near the sea; Orford is lovely too. The Suffolk local site has some lovely cottages and rental companies on it.

Or try Salthouse, Wells, Brancaster (I have family in Burnham and Bran) and Cromer.

Is it imperative that training has to happen now or could you delay it if it is proving challenging? Maybe until it is warmer?

AmberNectarine · 20/02/2014 09:30

I randomly received a subscribers copy of Porter - very odd! Haven't had much chance to look at it but it seems decent.
