Its a silk wool mix. Yes the real one! Bugger it! What is an invisible mending place anni ? I might photograph the damage and pin it for advice! I might be overreacting a bit...!!

shopafrolic · 07/02/2014 20:07

OMG. I'd have whacked it on the nose too and I'm a dog owner. That's awful!
Marsha I am going to miss you lots tomorrow! although I have a feeling I may be more sober than I have been at previous MUs as a result of your absence!
I think I might wear my NBs. Hope you ladies won't think I'm underdressed. Am thinking Vince black sweater, black coated skinnies, grey NB trainers and M&S check coat.
I've just realised I do more prep to meet you guys that when I go out with DH. Face pack done and nails painted - I hope you feel honoured :)

shopafrolic · 07/02/2014 20:08

Anni pin you know where

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 07/02/2014 20:47

No wonder you were mad One! Good for you for being persistent with the reporting.

Outfit sounds really nice shop, I too am Envy about the meet up. Hope there's another one soon!

Umlauf oh no re scarf. You get that awful hindsight when you realise it was the wrong thing to wear in such a situation but it's too late. I got yellow paint on a pair of goldsigns last year thanks to DP's nephew, my fault for wearing them of course (you can tell i don't have kids!!)

yes it's me with the gap jumper and I suppose my boobs are quite modest! Am 30F which is really just a big handful, neither big nor small. I'm sure your windowpanes aren't really doors :)

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 07/02/2014 20:51

Hope you all have a lovely time tomorrow. My day is decidedly less glam as I will have a house full of 9 & 10 year olds for a sleepover what was I thinking? Pray for me, sistaz.

libertychick · 07/02/2014 20:52

Sounds like a great outfit Shop. I did a face mask last night and doing nails now (just with Dior glow as I can't be trusted to get colour right all by myself!).

So sorry Marsha and Decam can't make the MU. But there will be others....

Tomorrow I am going to do my hair 'curly girl' style so I want frank and fearless opinions from Shop, novice and sleep Smile. I have started doing the curly girl method this week and am considering a 6 month stretch without the BBH or straighteners so I need honesty.

I think I'm going to wear Shop's shirt, http://www.pinterest.com/pin/321937073334496826/ black trousers and oversized jumper. Can't decide if I should wear boots or dress it all down with grey converse Opinions welcome Smile

libertychick · 07/02/2014 21:38

mig, i had head about NAP's plan for a paper magazine. I always found it very interesting that they considered themselves an online magazine with a shop attached to it, rather than the other way round. TBH, I never bothered reading their online magazine! But will probably pick the paper one. I just can't do online fashion mags...some of the magic is lost in my opinion.

Mignonette · 07/02/2014 23:24

Because Yes I am only really interested in print journalism. I cannot concentrate on online magazines. You cannot stockpile them and re-read marveling in the photography and layout.

The NAP magazine has great reach and is using some photographers that appear less ubiquitous. I am personally a bit sick of Mert & Marcus and Mario bloody Testino. And as for Annie Leibovitz's ridiculously manipulated shots- they have no magic for me. I met Annie L once on the Damien Hirst Dotted water taxi going from The Tate Modern downstream. She had her daughters with her and we talked to them as they were entranced by my daughters cat shoes. She was very friendly and i felt a little guilty for not liking the last ten years of her output- not that she would give two hoots Smile.

Giselle managed to control herself in the interview claiming that because English isn't 'her first language, or even her second language' that she was misquoted and misunderstood. So she kind of managed to remind us all that not only is she an Amazonian Supermodel with lovely kids, $300mill on the bank and a super glam life, she also speaks four languages! That my friends is a master of stealth boasting!

The clothes are a little boring and the poses/locations a bit . Giselle in a little cardigan showing her underbreast and belly. Giselle with her butt half out.

libertychick · 07/02/2014 23:25

As per Anni's request on the last thread I have pinned a pic of me on the mountain in Bali...I may have to take this down fairly quickly, not my best look Grin

Grin Liberty

If it doesn't rain then the PS1 tote as I haven't used it yet. I think it would go with my wempe cocktail ring. It's quite a big aquamarine stone surrounded by diamonds. have a look on this link hmm ponder ponder!

libertychick · 07/02/2014 23:31

I SO want to see the PS1! Swoon at the ring - just gorgeous.

libertychick · 07/02/2014 23:33

Mig that is such a good review of the NaP mag! How is the writing going?

OP posts:
BecauseIsaidS0 · 08/02/2014 00:39

Mig, I have a Colombian-German friend who is every inch as glamorous as Giselle and, feeling guilty because I love her, every inch as boastful. And a good chunk of my Brazilian family behave the same. I've got a theory about how this behaviour came to be in South America but it is so un-PC that I will have to keep it to myself.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 08/02/2014 00:40

Also, am I the only one that thinks that the writing in UK magazines has been shite for the last few years? I never thought I'd find myself doing this, but I now buy the American magazines because, even though they are 90% ads, the other 10% is good articles.

OneLittleLady · 08/02/2014 00:53

I don't buy any mags really because I find them unbearably dull for the most part. I sometimes buy Vogue if there's a particular fashion shoot that catches my eye but I get so fed up of flipping through ad after ad when it's all selling a lifestyle that I can't buy into for one reason or another, kinda makes you feel inferior if you let it, if that makes any sense?

MarshaBrady · 08/02/2014 07:28

Online is a mixture of chatting - with you guys of course, and on here - and collecting images - on pin. Used to things moving now.

Looking at an online magazine is strangely flat and static in comparison. It feels like one big ad / website.

I need the glossy pages at least and something like an art book to be a book.

Speaking of photographers
So why does Patrick Demarchelier get name checked on every pin, and of course in TDWP (how fab for him). Is he the grand daddy of fashion photography?

shopafrolic · 08/02/2014 07:32

Morning all - I've been up since 4.30! The little sh*ts know don't they? I swear they know........ Angry

MarshaBrady · 08/02/2014 07:37

Oh Shop buggeration. They do, interviews and mus they know Angry

And yes I blinking love our mus so I hope next one happens for lots of us.

BrandyAlexander · 08/02/2014 07:55

Oh poor you Shop! Yes, I had a disturbed night too. Both dcs wet bed and ds would only go back to sleep cuddled up with me.

I am FUMING with dh. It's probably irrational but still. The family car's tax disc ran out last week. Dh didn't notice till our nanny (who mostly drives it) pointed out to him.Hmm So he tries to do it yesterday and he can't because it's now 3 years old and should have had an MOT, back in AUGUSTShock. Our children have been driven around in a car with no MOT, and therefore no valid insurance for 6 months.Angry So now this morning he's got to call BMW as soon as they open and hope they can do it today. In the meanwhile, we will have to use another car. The choice is 2 convertibles.Hmm Thankfully, dh's cousin is staying for the weekend. His car is the non-convertible version of mine, so I think we will all be piling in there and hope this is all sorted today. rant over.

Bonsoir · 08/02/2014 07:56

OneLittleLady - I agree with on magazines but I am addicted to the French children's fashion and family lifestyle magazines MiLK - love love love the interiors...

Drywhiteplease · 08/02/2014 08:02
