After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

25 dAyS tO gO am posting this a little early as it is not quite 25th, but wont have time in the morning!

vvviola · 25/03/2014 08:43

I've been slack about posting. Sorry.

Recent updates:

  • new haircut. Pretty much the same as before, but she did a lovely job and it even behaves itself (kind of) when let dry naturally and I put some mouse and some of my oil spray on it
  • miraculously passed a shop the other day that had a big sign saying they were importing small amounts of Boots cosmetics. And they had my moisturiser. AND it was 'buy one get one half price'. So I'm set for ages and ages now.
  • lost 1.5kg
  • still am too fat for most of my clothes
  • people have stopped telling me how tired I look, but seeing as I'm actually getting less sleep because DD2 is waking at 5am most days, I can only attribute it to my extra water, vitamins and skin care.

So, not doing to badly so far. Still no job though, which I suspect is what I need to really kick start things. I find it hard to get dressed up to do the hoovering or play with duplo :)

Hello all Smile

I went and had my brows threaded for the first time in three months today, they look so much better now! Just need to decide on hair colour at some point soon. Also picked up intensive conditioner and night cream. Need heat protect spray next week I think but might try a different brand.

Have remembered accessories the past few days Shock Must get batteries in all of my watches though, dp surprised me with a lovely new handbag the other day but it has no outside back pocket for my phone so I have to rummage & it's doing my nut in a bit!

vvv Did you get some feedback from the interview you went to?

Right, off to pick number two up and have a mooch round Lidl's aisle of wonders Grin

Will check in later on Smile

24 DAYS TO GO
Didn't get chance to post earlier in the day as with strike action, had two DCs in school and one DC off school, so have been out for the day with DC1 and DH. Wasn't what we had planned as DC has school project to do, so was going to spend time without other two around working on that, but DH decided he would take a days leave and we three would go for a meal and do some shopping..........

Pollywallywinkles · 26/03/2014 17:37

My long weekend has started! Hopefully I can be a bit more active than I am at work.

Looks like the weather is going to be rubbish until the weekend, so don't know what we are going to do.

Morning all Smile

issi I would count the weeding as exercise Grin

Fed up this morning Sad Started at half six with my 7!!! yo complaining she couldn't put either of two pairs of knickers on & went downhill from there. Have had a caramel latte & vanilla crown for brekky to try and cheer myself up & now want more sugar...not good!

Anyway, hair not straightened because I didn't have time what with the oh so dramatic getting sorted for school of dd1 but everything else is done.

My hands feel awful, don't look it but keep catching bits of flaky skin in towels/tea towels so think I need to be using more hand cream. I found two unused tubes yesterday from my days as a nail tech so will try to up my game on that front.

Forgot accessories so will put in some earrings when I go up to clean the bathroom in a mo & put a tube of cream next to the bathroom sink.

Hope you're all having a good day Smile

Dilidali · 27/03/2014 13:43

Issima, welcome back! Sounds like you're right on track!
Style, thank you so much for keeping the countdown going!
Lucy, have you got a microfible clith, like the one for dusting? Wash your hands with one, gets rid of all the rough dry skin:)

My skin is atrocious!

lucysmam · 27/03/2014 14:23

I'll try that in the shower later on, thanks Dilidali Smile

(today is just getting worse & worse...I can't wait to get a shower & go to bed to hide from everything)

StyleOverSubstance · 28/03/2014 00:22

22 days to go

lucysmam · 28/03/2014 12:21

Strike day here today...just not feeling it Sad Have cleared a bazillion bags of stuff out of garage to go to charity shop though so that's something at least!

Hope you're all having a much nicer Friday than me Smile

Pollywallywinkles · 28/03/2014 17:57

I've had a lovely day.

Started with a shower and remembered to body brush and moisturise!

Have spend the day at a national trust property which makes a change from shopping. Have done loads and loads of walking and had plenty of fresh air and had a lovely lunch out as well.

StyleOverSubstance · 29/03/2014 00:08

Just 3 weeks to go now, the clock is definitely ticking....

21 days left

StyleOverSubstance · 30/03/2014 02:24

20 DAYS TO GO

vvviola · 30/03/2014 10:53

Just back from trip to MIL's... where I remembered to bring all my creams etc and use them before going to bed. Am feeling very grown up. Unfortunately the bugs down her way think I'm very tasty, so no leg defuzzing again for a while til the bites die down.

Lucysmam - apparently I got to the last 3 for the jobs (2 job share positions going) and they were going to get references to try to decide. Was told I'd hear "early next week".... that was 2 weeks ago. Am very unimpressed by the agent. Will be ringing tomorrow. A couple more I've applied for too, but heard nothing back.

Pollywallywinkles · 31/03/2014 07:37

I am now trying the Vaseline on my nails and hands as mentioned on another thread to see if that makes an improvement. I've only applied it for the last two nights so far, so too early to tell if it makes a difference.

Everything else is going ok, other than the exercise. I've been walking further whilst I've been off work and the weather is nicer, but I have no real routine with it yet.

How is everyone else doing?

StyleOverSubstance · 31/03/2014 10:36

19 days to go

StyleOverSubstance · 01/04/2014 09:08

18 DAYS TO GO

Pollywallywinkles · 01/04/2014 16:50

That's just over 2 weeks!

Not sure if the Vaseline is making any difference yet, but I will give it a month.

Everything else is going well other than the exercise.

StyleOverSubstance · 01/04/2014 19:47

I am taking the 'glass half full' approach Polly and looking at it as nearly 3 weeks or else I would just go into a blind panic!

Have done really well with the grooming and planning my outfits, but the exercise and weight loss has been a lot more hit and miss. I can see another challenge coming on where I really concentrate on that.

DCs bought me the Miranda 'Miracattack' dvd as one of my Mothers Day presents - we put it on on Sunday and they love it, so maybe we can all do that one! I have other favourites which I tend to use in order of lack of fitness to improving fitness as I know from past experience that they get good results and there is little risk of injury. Have only recently been given clean bill of health from physio, so don't want to end up doing too much too soon, causing damage and finding I am not able to do anything for months until injury heals again, so will need to take it slow and steady.

Pollywallywinkles · 01/04/2014 20:05

Need to think of as closer to 2 weeks to try and get my act together with the exercise!

I've worked at home today and had time to fit in some exercise, but haven't had the inclination. I have had quite an active weekend whilst I've been off work, so without thinking about it too much my exercise has increased.

It's sensible of you to take things steady and slowly with your exercise.

StyleOverSubstance · 02/04/2014 09:24

17 weeks to go...........

StyleOverSubstance · 02/04/2014 09:25

if only..........

its really 17 DAYS TO GO

Helgathehairy · 02/04/2014 10:57

Hello

I've been feeling guilty every time I see this thread as I've abandoned it pretty much.

I'm doing the basics, showering & cleansing and that's pretty much it! Still haven't got my hair or eyebrows or anything else done. I need DH to mind DD and he's doing a lot of outside work at the weekends as we're trying to get our patio done before summer.

I have re-started the fast diet and it's going well. ALMOST at 10 stone for the first time in about 5 years! Want to get to about 9.5 ideally but 10 for NY will be good.
