After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

So so happy for you, vvv!
Yep, I'm in!

Anyone want to start off a new thread? I would, except there's no point in me keeping track of days etc as with the time zones I'd constantly be confusing everyone Grin

Managed makeup on, contact lenses in and dressed property (damn, just realised forgot jewellery) for first day of new job today. It's going to be hard work though - I already miss being able to throw on anything for the school run and then come home to get myself sorted.

I'm going to continue as I have a big birthday coming up in 40 odd days!

Something had to be done about the exercise, so I've taken up golf. It will be a while before I'm able to hit the course as I've got to master hitting the ball, but I've been walking the course with my husband.

I NEED a new thread.

Just started 5:2, today is my first fast day. Have eaten 2 boiled eggs for breakfast in the hope that the protein will keep me going for minimal calories.

With hindsight the 10k I did on the stationary bike first thing may not have been the best thing to avoid hunger.

Did a trip to a McArthur Glen yesterday, mainly to buy clothes for DS1 and DS2 who have suddenly grown out of everything, but I did buy a few things for myself. Including 2 pairs of linen mix wide leg tailored trousers for work in the summer which are a little bit snug as an incentive to stick to 5:2!

I'm still here, but a little stressed about the new job - starting tomorrow, not much in the way of decent clothes (although winter wardrobe is a bit better, so roll on the cooler weather) and kids refusing to sleep so that I can sort myself out.

Definitely up for another thread though, especially to get me into good work-related habits. Too much time recently spent in flip flops and shorts :)

My goals were the following:

I'm still thinking about what I want to do.

Definitely more exercise, but not sure what at the moment.

I'm pretty good at a daily beauty regime, but I want to up it a bit.

Hands need serious attention, so weekly manicure and more use of hand creams on a daily basis.

Diet is generally reasonable, but I need to get back to normal eating in the new year.

I then added: no new clothes in January; possibly longer and no new products until I have ran out.

I'm sure I also added something about taking supplements.

I'm generally pleased how things have gone. Everything has been achieved other than the exercise. Due to my dog dying, I have been exercising less, however I am now seriously considering golf. I have walked the golf course a couple of times with my husband, have been to the driving range and have my first golf lesson tomorrow. I hadn't anticipated golf all those months ago. So think I've nearly cracked it.

I now need to continue as I've got a big birthday coming up in a few weeks time.

I've been utterly rubbish at keeping up with this thread as I started a new job in January and life got in the way. But now I am settled in the job I need to get back to some kind of routine. Obviously too late for this thread, but would be interested in a countdown to summer one maybe after Easter?

By the way, today I have:
Coloured my hair
Face scrub, mask & serum
Exfoliated and applied gradual tan
Pained my toenails coral pink.

I just need o make these things a habit, not do them as and when. I also need to sort my diet and exercise out as my new job involves sitting down all day and the biscuit tin is very well stocked!

I'd like another thread.

My walking is a bit hit and miss; I guess I'm a little disappointed that I've not got myself into some sort of exercise routine. However I walked the golf course when DH last played. I'm even thinking of taking it up and am about to have some lessons.

I'm still taking vitamins most days and will do until I've finished what I've got.

My hands are getting more regular attention and I'm managing with the body brushing and the weekly skin attention.

Dilidali yes they both seem to be over the rashes/impetigo they had. Still keeping a close eye on dd1 though as her excema flares up when the weather starts warming up & if it's under her arm like the rash then I can see us living at the GP's surgery again. Thanks for asking Smile

What's the 33piece wardrobe you've been doing? I seem to recall a link ages ago. I think I could maybe use something along those lines.

I did myself a mini pedi last night, no polish though yet Sad . My boots seem to rub it off the tips of my toes somehow so I'm going to wait a little longer before I get out the bright orange and pink polish for summer.

I have no idea what I've done to my hair tonight but it's incredibly volumisedShock ! Am using Smartprice shampoo and conditioner this week too (have scrimped everywhere for a few cheap days out for the girls). Might stick to it if my hair looks like this every day for 24p a bottle Grin ....I doubt it'll last though.

Vvviola, congratulations for the job, I am so pleased for you :)

Style, you have been an absolute sport keeping the thread going, so has helga for initiating it, big thanks!!!

Polly, you still walking?
Lucy, are the girls over their ailments? Ever got to the bottom of those rashes?

Well, nearly 100 days in:

I have been exercising and doing the 5:2 and generally eating 'more thoughtfully'.
Stopped the vitamins now.
Been making myself eat fish-still hate it with a vengeance though.
Haven't lost a single gram since january.
Did indeed focus more on shoes and got some really nice pairs.
Did a 33 items wardrobe challenge, that was fun.
Did something about my acne.
Drinking more water now, definitely.
I am more organised with hair appts and manicure and stuff.

I think I'll do a name change soon :) but I'll be around.

I've found this thread helpful as a reminder of what I was hoping to achieve. Other than the exercise, where I've failed miserably although think I have learnt why. I think things have gone reasonably well.

I'm up for another challenge to get me through to a big birthday in a couple of months time.

Have not done as well as I had hoped, but then we have had a lot of things going on outside my control. So, I am taking the positives that I have done well with the grooming/maintenance and the 'put together' look rather than the 'I fell into my wardrobe and look what I found' approach of old.

Will have to try to incorporate the healthier eating and fitness for the next challenge as I really do need to work on that area. Blush

Nice to see some updates from everyone - VVV, congratulations on getting new job! waves to Lucysmam, Polly nice to see you are both doing well, not been an easy time for either of you for different reasons.

Seem to be very few people on thread now, a lot of the original posters haven't posted for a while and the ones who joined part way through don't seem to have been on - although a few of both groups may have been lurking!! So am wondering how they are getting on or if they have given up on challenge.

ooh vvv yay!! Grin What's the job? When do you start?

The Easter hols start today here...we've nothing major planned except some 'princessing' for the girls - haircuts, new clothes and shoes for them both.

I'm going to carry on with my big declutter if the weather's nice enough for me to chuck stuff out of my way on the driveway.

Hopefully some summery clothes can start creeping into my wardrobe now, getting a bit bored of jumpers and boots & looking forward to flip flops with bright toenails Grin

In fact, I might do a mini-pedi tonight now I think about it, dp wants to watch some wrestling thing he's downloaded Confused

I'm really going to need another one of these challenges.

I have a job! Starting soon. Going in to meet the team tomorrow.

I'm going to struggle with what to wear. I'm pretty sure it's not a suit place (it's university admin) and I can do business casual in Europe. But here everyone is more casual, yet more put together, and a bit more likely to dress quirkily.

And I don't have much of a clothes budget - and don't want to buy much while I'm still trying to lose some weight.

and neither of my smart dresses are going to be dry for tomorrow which was supremely bad planning on my part
