After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

31 DAYS TO GO

trainersandaches · 19/03/2014 15:21

Just popped to Bravissimo to get resized. 28GG! I didn't even know they made them in that size.

Last night I had highlights and a cut done as well. Gruel for me for the rest of the week...

Also is anyone else doing a free yoga session tomorrow? I don't know if it's London-only but I have signed up to hot yoga at a local place to try it out

Pollywallywinkles · 19/03/2014 18:04

I've not heard about free yoga sessions.

Did you manage to get a bra trainersandaches?

My nails need doing again tonight. I will probably have a bath and do some treatments at the same time.

I managed a walk with a colleague today, which may have partially made up for the leaving buffet lunch I attended afterwards!

StyleOverSubstance · 20/03/2014 12:52

The first day of spring and there are, wait for it -

30 DAYS TO GO

29 DAYS TO GO

lucysmam · 21/03/2014 09:42

Good morning ladies Smile

Sorry for lack of posts, has been one of those weeks here Confused

I've stuck with my routines though pretty much, feet could do with some attention though this weekend & I must check my summer wardrobe in case anything needs repairing.

I bought a lighter jacket last weekend, black quilted, hip ish length. Just a shame that it's still rather cold here atm!

Got a new non-slip mat for the bath and bathroom floor mat too for the house & started replacing our bedding since we've had it nearly as long as we've been together & it's knackered. I'm still in two minds as to whether to buy something for the front window though - seems a bit pointless if we might have to move again soon.

No idea where the cash for another move is going to come from atm & council are being very unhelpful...we have to wait until it's actually in the process of being handed over to buyers before they'll help us - even then it'll probably be temporary b&b accommodation at best that they offer us (which will, of course, be right in the town centre and nowhere near school).

Anyway, best go see what my smallest is up to...Hmm

trainersandaches · 21/03/2014 21:41

I did get a bra Polly, it is not actually as big as I would have thought! Picking up a second sports bra tomorrow as well - there's a sale at Sweatshop at the moment.

In the end I didn't get to yoga, I had to arrive by 6:30am and I opted o the extra hour in bed!

Was trying to get a facial for tomorrow but EVERYWHERE in London seems to be booked up this weekend.

Pollywallywinkles · 22/03/2014 08:36

The house situation sounds stressful Lucy. I hope things get sorted out.

It sounds like you may have to do a DIY facial trainersandaches.

It's a lovely sunny morning here, feels like I should be out doing something, but we should be doing some decorating prep.

About to jump in the shower, so will have a good exfoliate and moisturise, deep conditioner for hair. Then I must sort my nails out.

I've still got to crack this exercise...

lucysmam · 22/03/2014 08:48

Morning all Smile

It's lovely and sunny here too Polly.

I think I might plant some bulbs with the girls this morning in a pot & might nip to town for a couple of pots for their grow your own sunflower kits that they got at Christmas. Also plan to use up the bananas that are on the turn and maybe a couple of apples in some baking.

Other than that I plan to give myself a pedicure tonight and dig out my orange nail polish.

Who was asking about yellow nail polish? I think it'd look very spring-ish (so long as it's not fluorescent), might be better kept for weekends rather than work though Grin

Right, I'm off to make either pancakes or waffles for brekky. Hope you all have a lovely weekend in the sunshine Smile

StyleOverSubstance · 22/03/2014 13:21

28 DAYS TO GO - that's four weeks.......... yikes!

Pollywallywinkles · 22/03/2014 15:48

Yikes indeed.

StyleOverSubstance · 22/03/2014 17:33

Seems to have gone very quiet on the thread, but have to admit I am equally guilty as have been posting the countdown days but little else. Will have to mend my ways!

StyleOverSubstance · 22/03/2014 17:34

Just a quick note - I know there are a couple of posters who are on IVF treatment at the moment and have mentioned how expensive it is. Wondered if they had seen that Asda (supermarket) are doing a not-for-profit IVF course for under £2000.

trainersandaches · 22/03/2014 19:29

I was the one asking about yellow nails! I bought a yellow and a blue Rimmel and I'm going to have a go tonight. If it's OK I might just get away with wearing it to work (so long as it's not too bright) as I work in the creative industries.

I got to have my facial today! It was lovely - but they didn't do extractions and I was kind of looking forward to that...

CallingAllEngels · 22/03/2014 21:11

I have been lurking!

have bought so many clothes and they're really helping me feel glam. I keeo getting compliements at work for wearing pretty dresses (probably because I usually look like a slob!) and got another one just the other day.

ladyvlondon.com/Cream-Birdcage-Swing-Dress/

and am looking at a petticoat to go underneath (I have one petticoat but it's black so doesn't look quite right with this).

I'm having to hold back from ordering this

ladyvlondon.com/Summer-Floral-Hepburn/

or this

ladyvlondon.com/Red-Poppy-on-White-Hepburn-Dress/

So am now organising lots of fun nights out to justify having so many lovely clothes! Have just booked an opera gala with my MIL (her birthday present), am going to the theatre in Amsterdam next month and trying to get a group together to go and see a swing band in May.

Have got some deep conditioner for my hair and it seems to be paying off. My skin itreally good at the mo as well - not sure why...

Pollywallywinkles · 22/03/2014 22:28

Was supposed to be on a spending freeze but blew that out of the water this morning. Two new dresses and two pairs of shoes.

My pampering was cut short this morning as DD turned up whilst we were still in our dressing gowns. I did manage to do most of the pampering, just quickly!

Nails have been filed and a base coat is on.

A wander around the supermarket has been about the only exercise I have had today unless I count trying on clothes and taking them off again. I really must try harder!

lucysmam · 23/03/2014 09:00

Calling those dresses are really beautiful! I especially like the third one you linked.

Unfortunately I'm a bit useless at wearing dresses lately...spend all day pulling at them. No idea why, I used to live in them pre-dc Confused & always wear them in summer.

Maybe a new dress would help Hmm

Dilidali · 23/03/2014 09:13

Good morning all!

Glad to see that you all are still on board :)
Soon it will be time for summery dresses!!!and sandals! I can't wait!

Had my eyes checked: they are very dry. I'll start using some eye drops every so often.
I have also bought an amazing Nuxe serum, my pores are smaller and my skin smoother and it smells divine. It's going to be one of those smells my DD will remember as a grown up, it made an impression on her and she often comments how nice my face smells Grin.

New shoes too, the suede wedges I bought a few months back, very comfy!

Family lunch today, but I must make an effort and organize a slightly extended family get together soon, I neglected them all and it was...nice!Grin

CallingAllEngels · 23/03/2014 09:41

Doing a 5k race today so that's my exercise for the week and will give myself a pamper later.

I think the estee lauder serum is helping smooth my skin as well dilidali.

lucy, a new dress always helps.

polly I have spent so much 8n clothes this mo th I'm scared to add it up! But get paid on Tuesday and AF just got me (ttc dc2) so my excuse is that it's to cheer me up!

StyleOverSubstance · 23/03/2014 10:27

CallingAllEngels · 24/03/2014 10:02

Aargh! Someone needs to take my credit card away from me!

Just ordered this

ladyvlondon.com/Orange-Poppy-Daisy-Day-Dress/

and this

ladyvlondon.com/Blue-Butterfly-Day-Dress/

and this petticoat t

ladyvlondon.com/Ivory-Petticoat/

to go underneath my birdcage swing dress.

Heading to spa tonight with my running partner to soak my aching muscles from 5k.

lucysmam · 24/03/2014 10:13

ooh Calling they're stunning!

StyleOverSubstance · 24/03/2014 23:32

Wow Calling purchase justification here - they are absolutely gorgeous dresses and will look absolutely stunning (I, unfortunately do not have the figure to wear that style - so my credit card is safe!)

Have started using Ponds Cold cream again each night and it has made the skin on my face look fantastic, I just slap it on and get in the bath and let the warmth do its work whilst I have a relaxing soak. Tis wondrous stuff!
