After the brilliant success of our Christmas Countdown Princessing thread I'm starting a new thread to take us to Easter. From 1st Jan it's 108 days so there will be a countdown to this days.

This idea stems from the original princessing threads but has evolved to accommodate all aspects of beautifying, beauty, clothes, diet, exercise etc.

What we like to do is a list of what your planning on doing and working through it.

Links to follow.

Kick started my diet and exercise yesterday, so am aiming for more of the same today in the hope that if I can stick with it for the remaining days I will see some improvement. Nice weather has helped as we have been to the park twice - yesterday and today, so everyone got some fresh air and exercise. So am hoping that if the weather does start to get a milder, that combined with the longer, lighter evenings should see me well on my way to my goals.

Hair cut tomorrow, so am wondering whether to start thinking about growing hair into another style or stay with the same one for a while longer and then when I have lost a reasonable amount of weight (ever the optimist!!) change it then as part of the 'new me' transformation. Although it isn't really the 'new me' it is the return to the 'old me'.....

Nice to see the other updates, haven't time to namecheck everyone as it is 1am (how did it get to that time??) so time to log out and shut down computer. Nighty night everyone.

Just a quicky...Haircut Friday!! I can't bloomin' wait. One of the school mums works at a hairdresser in town but is off Friday so she's going to come to the house so I don't have to pay shop price Grin

Hope you're all having a good day Smile

Haircut went well - hairdresser 'tweaked' style a bit and it looks better than ever! So am really pleased and can stay with this style longer as it can be varied a little to stop boredom setting in.

Done my exercise DVD again, but found it harder this time as muscles were aching......... but am determined this time to keep up with it and make sure I fit it into the day somewhere. Going food shopping later on this morning, so will be buying my healthy rations for the week and hopefully will start to feel better for eating more healthily too. Getting frighteningly near to the 'one month' mark on the challenge, so am hoping that with it being a short time, I will be motivated to do what I need to do - would love to be able to drop a dress size in that time.....

Afternoon all Smile

Hair is cut...my head feels so light!! Just need to colour it now so going to have a mooch in Boots tomorrow to see what there is.

I'm switching Sunday pamper to tonight as me and dp are off out tomorrow for something to eat - not sure where yet but want to make an effort. Might even wear a frock...maybe Confused

Pollywallywinkles · 14/03/2014 17:27

Had my hair cut this week. It is now most definitely short, although I think I will start growing it again as I'm not convinced I like it.

Everything else is going well other than the exercise which is still proving problematic.

lucysmam · 14/03/2014 17:35

Looks like it's haircut week for lots of us! Grin I can't wait to get in the shower shortly and dry/style it myself though...always feel a bit overdone after a hairdresser does it Confused

Dilidali · 14/03/2014 21:07

Hello all,
I'm slightly fried, horrible nails, hair like a hedge, spots on my face galore etc.

So the plan is to book a hairdresser's appointment, joining you all :)
Nails to be done this weekend.
Face mask and moisturise.
Sleep more and swim. That's the plan, anyway. Meant to be beautiful weather, so enjoy!

lucysmam · 14/03/2014 21:14

Dilidali I hope the weather does turn nice again, has been frrezing most of today here Sad

StyleOverSubstance · 15/03/2014 10:45

35 days to go nearly down to a month now............

Dilidali · 15/03/2014 15:41

Reporting from the garden (god, I love this weather!)
Had my eyebrows threaded beautifully today. Wore my new wedges too!
Will do my nails shortly and book the hairdresser for my day off. All good here.
How are you guys getting on?

Pollywallywinkles · 15/03/2014 17:27

The sun has been nice but the wind was biting. I wished I put my boots on rather than pumps.

Nails are due to be painted tonight using a nail polish I bought today. Also bought some eye bb cream and some colourful eyeliners as well as some new eye shadows. So much for my spending freeze! However in my defence I needed a new eyeliner and some concealer. I have no excuse for the eyeshadow.

A reasonable amount of walking was undertaken today, so feel a bit better about the exercise (if only slightly).

Dilidali · 15/03/2014 22:02

polly, enjoy your new purchases!
I can't wear eye shadow, I look ridiculous Grin what colours did you get?

Done my nails, just to apply some clear nailvarnish.
My eyebrows look fantastic!!! That lady is a wizard! Next time I go I shall give her a small gift to say thank you.

Right, face mask and then beauty sleep. Long walk tomorrow broke by lunch in the sun :)

Oops! You fell off my threads!

Am looking tired and frazzled..must try harder!

Pollywallywinkles · 16/03/2014 12:04

I have tried a MUA u dressed pallette. Quite neutral colours.

Have had a shower, scrub and moisturise this morning. Nails have now been done and I'm just waiting for them to dry before I can get on with the rest of the day.

Got on the scales this morning...must try harder with the exercise.

33 DAYS TO GO

CallingAllEngels · 17/03/2014 07:28

Okay yesterday I picked up some hair oil and deep mask.

Today heading into town and going to get,
new hairbrush
estee lauder pore refining finisher and eye stuff (have been using a sample of the pore stuff and it does mattify my oily skin)
I need new foundation but was thinking of trying a bb cream.....though get confused about what everything is for! Can I use bb cream instead of foundation?

Have made some new purchases lately...some high waisted cropped jeans and short sleev stripey and plain tops. I'm having to restrain myself atm as so many lovely things!

I want to get some red and black ballet flats and some low red converse and some more jeans (I hate buying jeans..such a pain!).

My aim is to get my hair looking nice, especially when going to work. I had a really nice outfit on last week but hadn't washed my hair and it looked rubbish. I need some quick, polished updos for long hair (comes to top of my bra cup, not that thick). Any ideas?

Or maybe I should go for the chop...eek!

Have been running twice in the last week and will go again tonight. Have a 5k race this coming weekend that I think isgoing to be a very slow time. Also coming to the end of the 2ww!

Going to mooch around the shops this afternoon. (I miss Boots!)

trainersandaches · 17/03/2014 09:40

Whoops this fell off my threads a long while ago... But I am pleased to realise I have kept to all my pledges: do my nails each week, tone up, look more groomed, look after my hair every day.

I am supposed to be going for my first facial in the next few weeks, getting my hair cut and highlighted tomorrow, ran 15k over the weekend to help my toning - it sounds as though I am bragging but to be honest I can't believe it is really me making all these positive changes. I have struggled so long yet since Christmas it has all fallen into place.

I bought a tube skirt yesterday and the size 8 went straight on. I am hoping to lose another half stone by Easter but am happy with my progress.

Picked up some bright yellow nail varnish over the weekend, then put it down again and stuck to my beige Leighton Denny - would yellow look a bit 'gruffalo'?

CallingAllEngels · 17/03/2014 11:01

Wow, trainer, size 8! That's amazing!

I think it depends on your colouring. Prob look great with dark/red hair and pale English rose skin (my complexion is a bit red and blotchy I think). Not sure about blonde. I'd do a pinterest search or google images to have a look on others. Would be very spring like!

trainersandaches · 17/03/2014 16:05

Thank you Engels Smile I decided that THIS would be the year I got the shape I want - so I started going to Weight Watchers as my New Year's Resolution. I thought it would be really patronising and boring but it has been brilliant - more like a weekly chat about healthy choices rather than hammering ready-meals at me.

GREAT idea about Pinterest - I am going to try a couple of yellows... also going to get some glitter nail varnish for over my beige nails having seen it on there...

CallingAllEngels · 17/03/2014 17:23

I've just spent a fortune in town on estee lauder, new foundation (maybeline), red clinique chubby stick, new hairbrush and ordered 2 pairs of ballet flats and a vintage swing dress with a pretty floral/bird print (though think I may have ordered the wrong size).

have fallen in love with a beautiful ice blue trench coat (completely impractical and I've spent a fortune on clothes this month!).

And we're ttc atm so who knows if I'll be able to wear any of it in a few months! (Fx)

Off out for a run now and will sort myself out when I get home.
