Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

santa poor you! I agree, get some painkillers. and some bubbly for the zzzzzzz party

I am chuckling at the idea of you reading MNV in the loo!

mig I have said it before and I'll say it again. I LOVE reading your thoughts about fashion!

shop I think DH is enjoying the ££££ bottle of rum I bought him for Christmas too much to go to bed. Xmas Wink

The watch DH has ordered is the Tank Anglaise in white gold. I am a bit nervous because the shop didn't have that particular one so I tried on a bigger size with diamonds (blingtastic Russian Oligarch, not me) and a pink gold one with a gorgeous ruby leather strap, but pink gold doesn't suit me unfortunately.

OneLittleLady · 14/12/2013 21:49

Lovely bracelet Linus

I am still trying to sniff out what Dp has got me for christmas. He's being so mysterious about it and I haven't got the faintest idea what it is! I'm secretly hoping it's the guitar I've been lusting after but I'm not getting my hopes up.

LinusDKD · 14/12/2013 22:00

santa I am no doctor/nurse but it does sound like typical UTI.

QueenCadbury · 14/12/2013 22:01

dry style guile in your warehouse dress

QueenCadbury · 14/12/2013 22:03

these colours are lovely

QueenCadbury · 14/12/2013 22:05

I'm going to have to go to bed as my iPad is about to run out of battery. Probably a good thing otherwise I could chat all night.

QueenCadbury · 14/12/2013 22:12

dry David beckham is on Jonathan ross

LinusDKD · 14/12/2013 22:13

I'm calling it a night as well. I just realised I repinned one of foxy's nail varnishes twice. Xmas Blush Too much bubbly.

Mignonette · 14/12/2013 22:18

Santa If you aren't on antibiotics for your UTI, you may need to be. Or they may not be the right ones.

If it isn't too personal on here, does your urine smell infected? You'll know what I mean if it is and no need to answer on here-just something to consider. Drink a lot of water, avoid non cotton underwear/tights and get to the Doctor asap. Tampon use can aggravate UTI's also especially if they aren't the right absorbency or you are Peri Menopausal. Forgive me if I am being too personal on here. As i said, no need to respond publicl`y, just things to ask yourself.

Thanks linus for the compliments. I banged that out so a little disjointed-like my thought processes.

Night Night Queen. The coral and darker greens look lovely on that pin.

Will pin pics of tree and new coat tomorrow.

Night all x

Drywhiteplease · 14/12/2013 23:30

Phew....roller disco was a success,no broken bones this year Smile DH and I shared a lovely chilled Chablis afterwards and have just watched "silver linings play book" sweet.

Queenc I found the dress on Styleguile ......worn once, will wear again at least twice over Christmas....pretty good value for £40.

shop I had a meltdown earlier and wailed "Christmas is horrible" like a 3yr old. Don't really believe it but felt temporarily overwhelmed.

One I adore chilli jam and cheese!

Drywhiteplease · 14/12/2013 23:32

mig that ATM incident sounds horrible....you're amazing though.
Linus Tank Anglaise . .....Cartier is my ultimate watch. Lovely bangle....I'm a gold woman Smile

LinusDKD · 15/12/2013 08:06

Morning!

I just saw this little beauty

I am still lusting after the cobalt one but this colour certainly would fit in with next season's pastel colours. Gorgeous!

mamasin · 15/12/2013 08:42

ladies just to say thank you for all your contributions on here. MN Vogue is my favourite magazine, though I picked up UK vogue this month as an Xmas treat. Thank you for destroying the idea (previously held by me, sorry, as well as others sadly) that those with an interest in fashion are materialistic and self obsessed. Your kindness to each other and unwitting help to me (and others) has been a great lift to dark days. I am working on destroying the guilt I have on spending time on myself or treating myself (see buying Vogue ;)). I am deep in Austerity Ireland and working hard to keep going "If you're going through Hell, keep going" Please keep posting, Happy Christmas!

shopafrolic · 15/12/2013 08:56

Oh Mamasin what a lovely way to start the day! Stick around, it's a nice place and I always like to give a newbie a virtual hug! What's your style?

MarshaBrady · 15/12/2013 09:00

That is lovely Mamasin, really lovely. Yes stay as Shop says, we love new style and links.

Dry congratulations on the party, sounds excellent.

I love that colour Linus, very much.

Great style report Mig.

MarshaBrady · 15/12/2013 09:42

Santa how are you feeling? Did you stay at the party, hope you're feeling too bad.

Drywhiteplease · 15/12/2013 09:42

He he Shop love you! You did it again...Xmas Grin

mamasin hello, you have yo stay out of the shadows of lurkdom and join in the fun. I predict it'll go a bit bonkers over the next couple of weeks:
Fashion dilemmas a plenty
Sales hysteria
Christmas stress
Pressie excitement
What will noviceloose?
How much more weight will one loose
Will santa's rockstuds survive the Christmas onslaught?
How much ice cream will Mig eat?
Will liberty get those wrist warmer finished ?
Will QueenC hit the cadburys?
shit need to get dressed.....can someone else do linus shop marsha grumpy sleep turqoise justa umlauf etc

shopafrolic · 15/12/2013 09:45

How are you feeling today Santa? Did you cope? I meant to say the other week….. When I was in Liberty's I went to the shoe department and gazed at the Rockstuds - they are even more beautiful IRL - I could have licked them Xmas Blush
Dry I need to calm down don't I?

mamasin · 15/12/2013 10:04

Oh thanks guys, I was worried that my post might come across as PA, clearly I am an overthinker! Alas, my style for going out is "rock chick", I was in Uni in the 90's and have never left it behind Confused. For work (public servant, some office work, some meetings at clients' homes as well as agency meetings) I like slightly boho. I think this officially makes me a style nightmare! please excuse me if I duck away again, but thank you for the lovely welcome Smile

Mignonette · 15/12/2013 10:15

Mamasin

What a lovely thing to say and lovely to meet you. Ireland has had it hard but keeping money circulating in the economy is important so shopping is certainly nothing to feel guilty about (just go easy on the credit cards is my advice). Vogue nourishes me as Carrie Bradshawe would say.

Dry The Roller Disco sounds wonderful. I bet you were shattered though! I too had a mini meltdown dressing the tree - "I hate this tree and I'm not going to look at it. I will stay in the kitchen!" and fortunately DH told me to 'stop it' (previous arrangement for when I lose it to stop escalation) and I cooled down. The weight of everyones expectation bore down upon me.

Linus Oh she is a dinky little thing- and just the kind of colour I was thinking of for next spring. There are plenty of sweaters in that chalky cold pale lilac.

Have not had ice cream for a couple of weeks as trying to calm my ulcer down via experimentation w/ diet. Sad. I miss it like I'd miss a long lost friend. But I will indulge Dry over Christmas. I will, oh yes I will.

OneLittleLady · 15/12/2013 10:20

How are you feeling Santa?

Mamasin you are very kind, you should stay, there's always room for more here Xmas Smile

shopafrolic · 15/12/2013 10:25

Not sure what the feeling is about angora on here but this is worth a read. Made me think - and I don't want to see the footage.

OneLittleLady · 15/12/2013 10:34

That's horrible Shop Sad

Sleepwhenidie · 15/12/2013 11:05

Hi everyone, welcome mamasin and newbies from yesterday I think? V busy here, DSis and family staying, it's proving a challenge to get through 5mins without a small child screaming with fury/frustration/pain! But it's ok, because friends of ours are headed to join us for lunch...which will make it 17 of us then Xmas Shock! We then have some friends staying with their DC's weds-sat prior to their move overseas...we all have to be out of the place on Saturday and leave it ready for people renting it over Christmas...lots of deep breaths and prosecco required....

Love the sound of the roller disco Dry - your posts are making me laugh so much!

One well done on staying so committed! great progress and outlook! enjoy the rediscovered clothes! Smile. Will email when I get a second.

I am trying to think of something for DH to get me for Christmas as he has just Xmas Hmm asked me to tell him. I'd like something I would think was too extravagant/indulgent to buy for myself, but needs to be £200-£250 (the agreed budget for each other)...what would you lot choose? Grin

OneLittleLady · 15/12/2013 11:14

Don't worry about e-mailing me Sleep enjoy your friend and family time, I'll still be here when they've all gone home Xmas Smile and thank you, I'm definitely feeling good.
