Merry Christmas everybody and love to absent friends. Waves to Topaz - nice to 'see' you again.
Father Christmas came! Such excitement and DH has spoilt me so I am thrilled.
Turkey is in the oven and my family arrive in an hour. Just grabbing a cheeky cuppa while DS plays with his toys and DH takes the dogs for a walk.
Decided to keep it low key today and am wearing Goldsign Lures, Whistles green star sweat, KJL gold necklace and UGGs! UGGs, on Vogue, on Christmas Day!!

Shop it's this P Lim. It's really lovely but the colour feels a bit off for me I think. Not sure.

Also got J Crew and plimsolls. Am wearing both with grey wool shorts and opaques. Seems comfy enough for day of eating and drinking.

Agree on cream knit + turkey. Will be protecting my pristine neons.

We did the carrot scattering and icing sugar foot prints , curtesy of mig and novice,of course dss did not buy it, and dd though that santa is very messy! But They are so thrilled with their presents.

Quick sign in here - Mimosa's for our two sitting brunch (a total of twelve in two lots of six) followed by Hot buttered rum and mulled wine.

Am now sitting here with an Aperol Spritzer whilst the ham and turkey roast and the potatoes parboil. Have made a celeriac, potato and carrot mash too.

One lot of kids have now gone home (steps and their partners), son has gone to GF's Mothers leaving my daughter, her partner and us two. Relative peace although daughter keeps mounting a territorial offensive upon my kitchen.

Husband is in plaid PJ bottoms, his new snowboarding cardigan, a hat with ear flaps and sticking up bobble and carpet slippers. He looks certifiable especially wandering about in the street with a small dog and piles of drunken offspring.

I love DMIL dearly but she is rubbish at presents!

She always asks what you want (or asks DH what I want, who promptly asks me) and you tell her the make/brand, colour, size etc and she still gets it wrong.

This year I sent her the link to the actual blouse I wanted......... And she still got it wrong!!!

(Don't want to sound like a spoilt brat, but it has become a bit of a running joke between DH and me)

I've hobbled back to our hotel from my parents, courtesy of my (repurposed) wedding shoes who created two nasty blisters on the back of my ankles. One of them actually burst and spoilt the inside of my right shoe - yuk!!!

Nap time and tomorrow I get to hit the Spanish sales. Will report back.

I am felling v drunk, have been drinking champers and now a gorgeous burgundy. Soooooo full from lunch, it was the best one ever. DH and I made it together (and drank the champagne while the kids played), was blissful.

Have been spoiled - got a shiny new MacBook Pro!

No sales shopping yet. Love those neons marsha, tempting! Now I need a laptop sleeve /case too!

Totally sozzled.....nice Irish neighbours asked us round for several drinks, expected to meet at least 1 MNV lady and a celeb --none sad
Y some lovely London dressing, I asked a lovely lady whether her dress was vintage Ozzie Clarke no she was flattered " ooh just something cheap" yeh right .she loved my dress and boots Am bowled over by the bi fold doors, everyone has them here and loft conversions--.
Got the usual "you don't sound like you're from up north", "no, I'm posh, soz !!!"

Chipping in very late with my Christmas greetings. Still feel rough, yesterday was Winter Wonderland, followed by Harrods (was hell in there!! but lunch in the Terrace Cafe was good) then home for the Christingle service with DD and all the Santa prep. I went to Midnight Mass too which was really beautiful and lit candles for people in my thoughts.

DD was up early this morning and very happy with all her gifts. DH got me all the things I wanted and my Mother amazingly for about the first time in 20 years came up trumps with a gorgeous gift - 6 beautiful sterling silver tree ornaments! I'm in shock - last year I got a tea towel and matching oven gloves!

Good sales shopping Marsha I am tempted by the JCrew knit - how fitted is it?

Just to echo what everyone else has been saying - I wrote to a close friend for Christmas and told him the best thing that had happened this year was making a fantastic new bunch of friends. I also told another friend of mine about you all when I went for dinner before xmas and we were saying that night what a treat it is to make new friends because it can be genuinely hard to meet like minded souls - thank you all for all the laughs, chat and advise this year.

BTW Mig - how do you make hot buttered rum? It does sound like the kind of soothing brew I need right now (aching, sore throat etc)
