Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

I just bought a Red Herring marl snood in soft ochrey/lime and cream from Debenhams. They also have an electric pink and cream one. £18 and made with a high cotton content.

Quite impressed with the quality actually.

AmberNectarine · 24/12/2013 14:56

I get the 8-10 novice and find it to be a good fit, and I can wear either an 8 or a 10 depending on sizing so I think you'd be ok with 6-8. Do you have an LKB Ariella? Because I have an 8 in my one of those and I'd liken the fit.

Mignonette · 24/12/2013 14:58

Novice

Keep both Pashli's as they are beautiful. I got a Proenza PS1 last year and Pashli was my other choice depending upon whatever DH chose. I gave him two options.

BrandyAlexander · 24/12/2013 15:01

Oh perfect Amber, thank you. I have the Ariella in both 6 and 8 so that's a great help! I haven't caught up with your blog for ages so looking forward to having a read laterSmile

Dry, are you in the car?

Drywhiteplease · 24/12/2013 15:08

Yes novice. Singing along to Christmas songs and looking at clothes on my phone for a change. The further south we get the worse the weather though .

BrandyAlexander · 24/12/2013 15:08

MigGrin it depends on what's in the sales!! My next bag is either the PS1 or Chloe Paraty. I would love for either (in a nice colour) to be reduced.

RubyLovesShopping · 24/12/2013 15:43

Novice I have the small too, it is very generously cut and stretches over my pear shaped hips well.
I would love a navy paraty, in medium .
Have become quite partial to ginger wine these last few weeks, reminds me of my grandma, off to have some now whilst watching film with everyone. The windy weather has just arrived here wonder what kind if night we'll have.

Mignonette · 24/12/2013 16:16

I have the violet PS1. It is a thing of tactile beauty but don't use in the rain or put damp scarves inside Sad. It is so colour saturated that the dye runs for a while.

Mignonette · 24/12/2013 16:20

I was scared last night and couldn't sleep. The house was creaking and groaning. We had the aerial re-attached yesterday as was hanging off the bracket but our house is old and falling apart. We had to have it banded seven years ago to stop it sliding down the hill (is situated at the top of steep Victorian street) and ever since then it has been 'settling' back into place. AKA sodding great cracks opening up everywhere. So I do not feel safe in it.

Hoping everybody is okay weather wise and travels go smoothly. DH just left to collect daughter who has bought a big turkey and ham and is too little to carry them over! Watching Toy Story 2 and about to go to the local pub for a swift one.

Drywhiteplease · 24/12/2013 16:32

Having great time sales shopping from car! Can't link dim will link when they arrive.
Told DH that my resolution lady year was to invest in quality, and I'll be trying to stick to it in 2014..... He said " what stocks and shares, property?" Xmas Shock doesn't get it does he ? Xmas Grin

santamarianovella · 24/12/2013 16:36

novice good idea its best to see both bags IRL,let us know how it goes!

dry you are right he has very good taste in clothes, we skyped while I was opening my present,he bought the dcs gifts too ,and wanted to see their reaction! Dd was more impressed with the ribbons and rapper, don't you just love technology! Enjoy London.xx

ruby its very windy where we are too,but nothing like yesterday's weather when we left London ! And you should get the paraty I have black one, its my best hardworking bag, very durable.

mig I love the PS1, I think violet and green are the best ones, but their prices are very ££££ now days.

Drywhiteplease · 24/12/2013 16:55

santa you got a rapper for Christmas !!! Great present!

LinusDKD · 24/12/2013 16:55

Yay, I booked all our restaurants for our weekend in London!

Can't wait!

Once the DC are in bed I am going to change into my Christmas outfit for DP's Christmas Eve dinner.

Merry Christmas everyone!

AmberNectarine · 24/12/2013 16:59

Drywhiteplease · 24/12/2013 17:09

Great minds A!!!

HELLO LONDON!!

Mignonette · 24/12/2013 18:09

This is the Hazelnut, Passionfruit and Passoa Meringue Roulade DH and I made for last weekends soiree. It is super easy (and doesn't look it) and have just made another one. Daughter is in the kitchen making Profiteroles, the Lobster, turkey and ham are communing in the larder. All is on track.

Mignonette · 24/12/2013 18:11

Here is Snood one- the Debenhams photos are shockingly bad and do not show it well. The lime one is a beautiful marl effect and not as blindingly bright as it might sounds.

I think they may well be on sale after Christmas.

MNVogue - Vol 28 (the Christmas edition)
Mignonette · 24/12/2013 18:12

Here is snood two - again they are subtler and more expensive looking than these photos suggest. I would also style it a lot better too.

Debenhams and M&S have the worst, most shockingly bad online photos. Sort it out!

MNVogue - Vol 28 (the Christmas edition)
shopafrolic · 24/12/2013 18:25

Right you lot. I'm merry already - we have friends on the way. Spuds and parsnips are part roasted so I can get onto the serious business of drinking more.
Wearing grey I&I, black coated skinnies and a strong red lip Xmas Grin
We have to build a kids table and 3 chairs and then get them into DS' room without waking him (not likely). Wish me luck.
Knitwear from NaP look to be keepers.
Have a wonderful time. Thanks for being an ace new set of friends in my life - it's much more fun with you all in it. xx

chartreuse · 24/12/2013 18:33

Marsha, your glasses probably just need to be adjusted. That is why the PD is so important. Take them to an opticians to be tweaked before you give up on them.

Happy Christmas MNVoguers Smile

santamarianovella · 24/12/2013 18:41

Haha! Very funny you two,Xmas Hmm,

linus that's good! Where did you book?

dry are you there yet?

BrandyAlexander · 24/12/2013 18:41

Mig, it all sounds so yummy!Envy Can't see the pics as I am on the app but will see later.

The dcs are in heaven as they are watching Fireman Sam DVD having been eating chocolate cornflakes and flapjacks all afternoon.Grin All is calm in the novice household and I am gulping sipping wine. It's been manic all day as dh and I have been preparing for tomorrow, but all done now.

I echo what Shop said. You are all so funny, insightful, kind, caring as well as stylishWink sending love and strength to all MNVers tonight, especially if tomorrow will be a hard day. Thanks

QueenCadbury · 24/12/2013 19:46

Stockings up, mince pie, carrots and orange juice waiting for santa and Rudolph.

I'm in shockingly bad pjs. See pin. Every year I ask for new pjs for Christmas Eve but didn't this year as I decided I didn't need any new ones. So dh took himself off to primark to buy Christmas ones Xmas Hmm Xmas Grin. I concede that they are v comfy but will be totally sweat inducing in bed. Maybe that's his plan though, that I get so hot that I take them off Xmas Wink.

QueenCadbury · 24/12/2013 19:48

Weirdly, I can't imagine life anymore without you guys in it. You make the daily grind of real life that little bit easier by offering escapism, humour and love. When I put on the pjs I couldn't wait to post a picture for you all to see.

QueenCadbury · 24/12/2013 20:07

Advice needed on pin...
