Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

i handwash silk no problem. I don't own much of it, some scarves and one shirt but they all come out right as long as I'm gentle. I don't wring it out as such, more squeeze the water out in sections and dry flat. I never wore it around DS as he had forever grubby fingers and somehow they were always sticky too, despite me wiping them all the time.

Drywhiteplease · 22/12/2013 21:57

Shop toe's a bit sore tbh, but I don't regret wearing my shoes last night.

OneLittleLady · 22/12/2013 21:58

Are you fretting about your pressie dry? Love the dress choices

Drywhiteplease · 22/12/2013 22:00

QueenC you have to be really careful with silk. I adore it, but if you have young children only wear it for going out unless it's washable. If it says dry clean only I wouldn't wash it as you may remove the finish on it and damage the sheen/texture/look of it.

QueenCadbury · 22/12/2013 22:03

I'm thinking that maybe I should stick to polyester. Even on nights out I'd be worried about spilling wine or curry down me Xmas Grin

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:12

Queenc unbelievable how many of those onesies have sold out! Did you? Did you?
When it comes to silk, never to be worn around DS, strictly for nights out and I get mine dry cleaned because I'm too scared to risk it. Feels like such a treat when I wear it though.

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:12

But I do handwash silk nightwear.....

OneLittleLady · 22/12/2013 22:13

the onesies were me Shop they are all mine Xmas Grin

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:15

Who wanted blue boots ages ago?

BrandyAlexander · 22/12/2013 22:17

Blimey Dry you have your outfits planned already? I am still haunted by that onesie!

MarshaBrady · 22/12/2013 22:18

I could love this silk dress.

Gucci so I doubt it's anything but a lot. Not keen on the boots with it, but the colour, gorgeous.

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:20

That is beautiful marsha I could totally see you in that. What a fabulous colour. Is it silk? Swoon.

MarshaBrady · 22/12/2013 22:21

I imagine it is. Sigh. The colour!

MarshaBrady · 22/12/2013 22:22

I'm going to get the silk dress dry cleaned. You're right Shop it's gorgeous to wear.

Drywhiteplease · 22/12/2013 22:26

That is stunning Marsha I love that colour.
novice I'm not a last minute person at all. Have to pack car tomorrow night so I had to forward plan.

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:27

Definitely do it marsha especially for this time of year. Lovely.
My sales look outs are still pistols and that cream knit. Oh and some kind of large tote bag.
Can you lovely ladies tell me about what kind of bag is good for hauling round kids stuff in once you move on from a nappy changing bag ( if you ever had one). I'll still need to carry drinks, snacks, change of clothes for DS, make up bag, purse, phone etc etc. I'm not quite sure what to look for.......

MarshaBrady · 22/12/2013 22:27

I love your wardrobe and all the outfits you've chosen Dry. Really gorgeous.

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:28

dry are you london bound?

MarshaBrady · 22/12/2013 22:29

Shop one that goes over the shoulder, that doesn't drive you barmy by existing as a deep bucket of things or slipping off too much. Then after that, anything you like. Slouchy-ish? Teal?

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:29

Dry is it weird that I feel chuffed the camel coat is making such a big Christmas appearance?

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:32

I want a colour marsha but not sure what. Quite fancy a khaki or dark green - might work well with jeans, biker, boots etc? If I get teal (like that R&B one) then it would be the only teal thing in my wardrobe apart from a couple of tees. Can probably spend £200 ish.......something slouchy would be better than too much structure I guess.......need to start looking.

MarshaBrady · 22/12/2013 22:36

Sounds good, will keep an eye out. Sales a good way to go.

shopafrolic · 22/12/2013 22:49

can I have this please. love the shoe boots too......

BrandyAlexander · 22/12/2013 22:51
