Hello all.
Finally lost it, went rogue and had the monumental tantrum threatening for days.
Have been trying to pin stepchildren down for arrangements for weeks only to be messed about (as usual). We had arranged for one of them to come for Christmas breakfast/brunch. Then Husband casually drops it into conversation at my Mothers yesterday that all three were now coming along with their respective other halves/casual lays yada yada. I went ballistic as he just sat there laughing saying 'let's go with the flow'.
I AM MOT HAVING 12 PEOPLE TO BREAKFAST ON CHRISTMAS DAY AT 9 A.M IN MY DRESSING GOWN WHEN i HAVEN'T EVEN MET TWO OF THEM. Especially when none of them have had the decency to let ME know.
Sorry-I had to shout.
So they are coming after eleven. But I raged all the way home and it got worse when I pulled into the street to find selfish twunt neighbour (the one who woke us up at 2 a.m firing airpistol at his shed whilst sitting on his flat roof) had parked a teeny tiny moped in the only off road parking spot when he has a huge front garden/drive to put it in.
So we had the unedifying sight and sound of me shouting 'you fucking twunt' at him across the street and having to be dragged inside by my DH to prevent me going even more postal.
.
Oh...And my fucking ex-stepmother has moved 1 1/2 miles away. That really takes the biscuit. We are going to move.
Queen glad you enjoyed your party. Natalie was robbed in Strictly IMO. I loved Sophie too - such dignity and intelligence.
Dry Can I recommend a cheese called 'Suffolk Gold'? If you ever see it, buy some as it is fabulous. They do a Suffolk Blue too. Details on Mumsnet Suffolk Local under artisans on the high st.
Novice I am hoping to hear about the rest you manage to get soon. You must have some.
We did have a lovely morning shopping yesterday though. Paul Smith socks and toothbrushes for stockings and my stepfather (who is an Angel set down among us) who has huge feet and struggles to find quality socks. He is one of those men who doesn't buy a lot but everything he does is of exquisite quality. We bought a Michael Kors belt from TKMaxx for stepson, a straw angel for MIL (horrific but she'll like it), a French Connection lambswool sweater for me (in dove grey again) from TKMaxx - £19! We have a market stall selling cashmere from Brora, NPeal, Lewins, M&S and there is really nothing wrong visibly but Brora cashmere for £40!!!!
