Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

Oh my - you all sound a little merry this evening!

Just stopped by to offer QueenC a big bunch of Flowers for being a star - I love you and I haven't been drinking.

Had our staff meal out last night at a swanky Chinese restaurant. I wore the Freya top with the All Saintsfishnet leggings (bastards now reduced) and Zara Vamp shoes. The only unfortunate thing was that the feathers on the top were a little static and sometimes I felt a bit like I was wearing a tutu (dangerously close to mutton territory) so I spent quite alot of time trying to smooth them down. Not too bad though and the pants were amply stretchy for my high levels of indulgence.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 19/12/2013 22:27

Mig I haven't been hungry all day after last night's feasting, but I sure as heck could eat that - especially lobster and shrimp cocktail.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Drywhiteplease · 19/12/2013 22:31

Good god Grumpy wish you'd posted a pic on pin....bet you looked incredible!!

BLOODY hell.......DH told me tonight that's he's gone off piste for my Christmas present!shit! Have to practice my happy present face....last time we spent it with in laws was the great V Westwood bag disaster, I have a horrible feeling.........................

Drywhiteplease · 19/12/2013 22:34

Shop that whistles dress sounds perfect for Christmas Day.I'm wearing this dress with my mid heeled black suede shoe boots and opaques.
And Shop I'm now going through all my lipsticks.....

Mignonette · 19/12/2013 22:41

((((((((( I hear the JAWS theme tune Dry ))))))))))))))))))))

Glad the menu sounds good Grumpy. Great sounding outfit.

Drywhiteplease · 19/12/2013 22:48

Thinking about Saturday drinks party outfit. Hmm
Could I put current fav top and black skinnies with Sleep's shoes?

Drywhiteplease · 19/12/2013 23:02

Or perhaps this top and red lipstick?

QueenCadbury · 20/12/2013 07:08

Morning all. Just doing a quick catch up before I drag myself out of bed. Last day of school. Hurrah!!! Mad a fab night last night going back to the 90s. Went to see Jesus jones, pop will eat itself and the wonderstuff. And drank hooch. Fabulous.

Christmas Day will see me in jeans and sequin cardi. I'm only dressing up as friends are coming round for pink fizz otherwise I'd spend the day in comfortable sweatpants Grin

foxysocks · 20/12/2013 07:19

Hooch! Fab QueenC!

Supposedly last day of work for DH but will believe it when I see it. It is DDs last day at school so I need to wake her up soon, we were out late for carols in the park then mince pies and mulled wine afterwards. I adore singing carols, I sang my little heart out.

Today must practice ASAP, then hair at 10, first party 2.30 but must NOT get too drunk as another party this evening. And need to get kids fed/to bed in between!

Not sure what to wear! Daytime party - luxe grunge? Wang skirt, opaques and bikers with... Either cobalt cashmere or metallic all saints knit? Which one?!

Evening - erring towards black skinnies, sequin tee and nude heels. I won't know anyone so don't want to go fully dressy if everyone is in jeans?

foxysocks · 20/12/2013 07:29

I like both tops dry, the burgundy seems more party to me.

Drywhiteplease · 20/12/2013 07:53

Party outfit pics please foxy
QueenC sounds like a fab night out.

Ok last day of term, Christmas jumper day good grief I'm wearing acrylic and feel a bit weird, worried I might get an electric shock Xmas Grin I've done my best and dd said " it actually looks quite nice"

Not long now everyone, I think I can hear his bells in the distance!!!!!Xmas Smile

Turquoiseblue · 20/12/2013 08:07

Morning lovely ladiesGrin
Sorry for the radio silence, big family event and Christmas count down has had me run off my feet!
Hope everyone's well. Tried to pin wedding outfit last week but pin didn't seem to let meHmm
Need opinions on recent purchase ... Off to get link. Ho ho ho's to all.

Turquoiseblue · 20/12/2013 08:12

it is opinions please? Too young for a 34 year old ? Irl it s less shiny and looks richer. I haven't worn any playsuit a before but thinking I like thus tried it on and I like it but worried it s a big young and tooshop- y for me !

WhattoWearNow · 20/12/2013 10:08

Morning - I have loved looking at all the style inspiration from your style icons. I need some inspiration as I need to shop my wardrobe more as it is getting ridiculous in there. So my New Year's style resolution is to sort out my wardrobe & not buy anything until I have. In the meantime I will window shop a lot for inspiration of course! Shame to miss this bargain though. But no pain no gain....

WhattoWearNow · 20/12/2013 10:11

If it looks nice on & you feel good in it, go for it Turquoise.

libertychick · 20/12/2013 10:19

Hmmm Turq deffo too Topshop-y for me but I am 40 (and tame)...you probably need an opinion from one of the young un's like Amber or Foxy.

What you have just caused me to waste a full 5 mins seriously considering those but I tried pistols before and they were too tight on my ankles and they look similiar - great bargain - Shop where are you?? (though looks like they are gone in your size I think)

For the classic camel coat lovers - saw this beauty this morning in River Island. Is a paler shade than it looks on the website - almost cream. Very nice indeed. Was tempted.

santamarianovella · 20/12/2013 10:37

turq you are not too old to wear a playsuit, but I think that pattern is very old! It reminds me of the carpets of a hotel we stayed at in Aberdeen!
asOs had some lovely playsuits,a while ago.

what that's a very good plan, sorting out your wardrobe, will definitely help you. Do you have pin?

liberty I was about t pm shop I hope she got them!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 20/12/2013 10:56

Turquoise you can dress it down with a pair of really thick black tights and flats. A pair of gold hoop earrings and you are good to go, I reckon!

BecauseIsaidS0 · 20/12/2013 10:58

Liberty, that coat is lovely. But being Spanish, I'm currently lusting after the lemon yellow fake fur one at TopShop (will try and find link, am on phone atm)

Umlauf · 20/12/2013 10:59

Arrghhh just tried on a pair of brand new JBrand 914s that DH bought on a conference trip to NY last year and they have ripped massively down the thigh! I have never worn them (being pregnant and all)! So annoyed and scared to tell DH as he took a lot of convincing premium denim was worth the money. No receipt and bought just under a year ago.... Damnit!!

WRT playsuit turquoise I love it, I think the sheen in the fabric stops it looking too topshopy. Is it a heavy fabric? Love the print.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 20/12/2013 11:01

lemon yellow coat

Annianni · 20/12/2013 11:17

Not keen on the playsuit, sorry Turquoise.
It's a bit too flammable for me.

Umlauf where's the rip?
Could you patch them?
Eve and Belinda worn out have been wearing patched jeans, think they're Only ones from asos.

Ds2 was awake from 4am till 5-30.
I feel hideous and think I'm getting a cold Sad

Annianni · 20/12/2013 11:21

Lovely camel coat Liberty

That yellow one is fab Because.
I would resemble big bird from Sesame Street in it though... :o

LinusDKD · 20/12/2013 11:46

Aaaargh! I HATE packing!

We are leaving tonight and have a 800 km road trip ahead of us. Hopefully the children will do what is expected of them:sleep and transfer to their beds at DPIL at Silly o'Clock in the morning without a fuss.

I am having problems as usual packing outfits for myself. And what shoes, jewelry and bags to bring!?

Stress!!!
