Calling on style and fashion fanatics, this is the space for frivolity and fun (though it gets a bit tense at sales time) Wink. All welcome.

I'm expecting DH and I will look a bit like this by the end of the day - did I mention the jeans will have a high elastane content?

I'm planning to wear oversize jumper with 7FAM skinnies. Slippers in the house, bikers for a walk. Sparkly necklace for the bling and probably a Santa hat, all accessorised with a flute!

shopafrolic · 19/12/2013 21:45

Evening all...

I think I'll be wearing sweaty betty wide leg yoga pants, with a bit of cashmere.
We're having a lazy day with just one or two visitors due in the morning.

We're debating steak and chips for tea Xmas Smile
Might do Christmas meal on Christmas eve or boxing day though instead.
I do all the cooking but I don't go mad, it's basically Sunday dinner with a few extras and pud.

libertychick · 19/12/2013 21:53

Darn links to pin not working final attempt

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 19/12/2013 21:54

Nope still not working liberty
That's the issue marsha I can't do dress and 6" heels on uneven stone kitchen floor in front of AGA. It's going to be the old faithful cream silk blouse AGAIN isn't it?

libertychick · 19/12/2013 21:55

Annianni · 19/12/2013 21:57

Missed a bit off my post...

What are you all planning to eat?

Drywhiteplease · 19/12/2013 21:58

Oh Marsha and Amber what lovely days you've both had.

No fashion news at all today....but have just returned from late night shopping.
In Top Shop with DS and Dd buying vouchers at 8pm ish...at the till, when a girl raced in, dressed up to the nines (orange legs, impossibly high even for me platforms, false lashes, very black eyebrows, white blonde hair, dress just covering her not-terribly-pert bottom)
"Quick, the tags still on my dress, I bought it yesterday and only noticed in the taxi!!!!" Xmas Grin....
The sales girls had to take her behind the till and get the tag off, it was not pretty, but we all had a laugh DS eyes nearly popped out of his head off she tottered, we all chorused "have a great evening!"Xmas Grin

shopafrolic · 19/12/2013 22:02

Maybe this dress which I have in green with necklace?
Have you seen the news about the theatre roof collapse? Awful.......

shopafrolic · 19/12/2013 22:03

LOL dry
Anni traditional turkey dinner for 10 here.

Mignonette · 19/12/2013 22:06

I never bother dressing up that much. It is a stay undressed as long as possible day.

It is usually a cool pair of pants, a sweater or top and socks! I would only put on shoes to leave the house. I like those slouchy luxe track style pants by Heimstone, Wang and McCartney (with unusual combinations of fabrics and maybe a stripe down the side) so may wear something like that with a tucked in shirt and a wool hoodie if we go for a walk. On my feet- shoe boots or my Pour La Victoire snakeskin brogues I bought last week from The Outnet.

I don't wear jewellery because it'd get slaughtered in the cooking. Copious use of perfume to mask all the scents of the kitchen is needed.

OneLittleLady · 19/12/2013 22:08

it is awful isn't it Shop lots of people wounded apparently Sad

libertychick · 19/12/2013 22:10

That looks like a perfect xmas day outfit Shop.

DH and I have just been debating food - steak, with roasties and veg and posh gravy. Something chocolately for dessert.

libertychick · 19/12/2013 22:16

Brunch-
Candied bacon, home made Pancakes with blueberry maple syrup, scrambled egg and salmon, juice and champagne.

Christmas evening meal at about 6pm onwards-
Retro Lobster and shrimp cocktail to start. Then turkey with a cornbread, pecan and cranberry stuffing, creamed swede with nutmeg, sprouts w/ chestnuts and everything else you'd expect. Christmas Pudding (Nigel Slater's recipe as we have done for ten years) Creme De Menthe Roulade, cheeses and home made crackers and oatcakes, fresh dates and nuts.
